# Flashing firmware internally

**WARNING:** If you flash a broken firmware and have no recovery mechanism, you
|
|
|
|
must use the **external method** to flash a working firmware again.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
## Using flashrom

This method does only work on Linux, if it isn't locked down.
