Stefan Reinauer 14e2277962 Since some people disapprove of white space cleanups mixed in regular commits 
while others dislike them being extra commits, let's clean them up once and
for all for the existing code. If it's ugly, let it only be ugly once :-)

Patrick Georgi 6bba29f84a Add the BSD-licensed getopt tool to crossgcc, to use 
if there's no native getopt around.

Use $PATCH instead of the hardcoded "patch" for patching
files (after we already looked it up)

Ignore various temporary files via svn:ignore
