vboot2: add verstage This reverts the revert commit 5780d6f3876723b94fbe3653c9d87dad6330862e and fixes the build issue that cuased it to be reverted. Verstage will host vboot2 for firmware verification. It's a stage in the sense that it has its own set of toolchains, compiler flags, and includes. This allows us to easily add object files as needed. But it's directly linked to bootblock. This allows us to avoid code duplication for stage loading and jumping (e.g. cbfs driver) for the boards where bootblock has to run in a different architecture (e.g. Tegra124). To avoid name space conflict, verstage symbols are prefixed with verstage_. TEST=Built with VBOOT2_VERIFY_FIRMWARE on/off. Booted Nyan Blaze. arm64: Add support for using ARM Trusted Firmware as secure monitor This patch adds support for integrating the runtime-resident component of ARM Trusted Firmware (github.com/ARM-software/arm-trusted-firmware) called BL31. It expects the ARM TF source tree to be checked out under $(top)/3rdparty/arm-trusted-firmware, which will be set up in a later patch. Also include optional support for VBOOT2 verification (pretty hacky for now, since CBFSv1 is just around the corner and will make all this so much better). arch/arm64: Add Kconfig to include BL31 as blob Add Kconfig options to not build the Arm Trusted Firmware, but use a precompiled binary instead. To be used on platforms that do not have upstream Arm Trusted Firmware support and useful for development purposes. It is recommended to use upstream Arm Trusted Firmware where possible. arm64: xcompile: Add support for A53 erratum 843419 This patch adds support to enable a linker workaround to a hardware erratum on some early Cortex-A53 revisions. Since the linker option was added very recently, we use xcompile to test whether the toolchain supports it first. It is also guarded by a Kconfig since only a few ARM64 SoCs will need this and it incurs a performance penalty. BRANCH=none BUG=none TEST=Turned it on or off for Smaug and confirmed that it (dis)appeared in verbose make output accordingly. Some early Cortex-A53 revisions had a hardware bug that results in
incorrect address calculations in rare cases. This option enables a
linker workaround to avoid those cases if your toolchain supports it.
Should be selected automatically by SoCs that are affected.
arch/arm64: Make ARM64 stages select ARCH_ARM64 Also don't define the default as this result in spurious lines in the .config. The only difference in config.h is on boards with the Nvidia tegra210 SOC that now select ARCH_ARM64, because its ramstage runs in that mode. The resulting binary is identical however.
