4a36c4e9fc Kconfig: lay groundwork for not assuming SPI flash boot device
Almost all boards and chipsets within the codebase assume or
use SPI flash as the boot device. Therefore, provide an option
for the boards/chipsets which don't currently support SPI flash
as the boot device. The default is to assume SPI flash is the
boot device unless otherwise instructed. This falls in line
with the current assumptions, but it also allows one to
differentiate a platform desiring SPI flash support while it not
being the actual boot device.

One thing to note is that while google/daisy does boot with SPI
flash part no SPI API interfaces were ever implemented. Therefore,
mark that board as not having a SPI boot device.

d23ee5de22 mainboard: Clean up boot_option/reboot_bits in cmos.layout
Since commit 3bfd7cc (drivers/pc80: Rework normal / fallback selector
code) the reboot counter stored in `reboot_bits` isn't reset on a reboot
with `boot_option = 1` any more. Hence, with SKIP_MAX_REBOOT_CNT_CLEAR
enabled, later stages (e.g. payload, OS) have to clear the counter too,
when they want to switch to normal boot. So change the bits to (h)ex
instead of (r)eserved.

To clarify their meaning, rename `reboot_bits` to `reboot_counter`. Also
remove all occurences of the obsolete `last_boot` bit that have sneaked
in again since 24391321 (mainboard: Remove last_boot NVRAM option).

cc5be8b72b arch/riscv: Add include/arch/barrier.h
mb() is used in src/arch/riscv/ and src/mainboard/emulation/*-riscv/.
It is currently provided by atomic.h, but I think it fits better into
barrier.h.

The "fence" instruction represents a full memory fence, as opposed to
variants such as "fence r, rw" which represent a partial fence. An
operating system might want to use precisely the right fence, but
coreboot doesn't need this level of performance at the cost of
simplicity.

633c57d1d1 qemu/x86: car: drop pointless code, move stack out of the way
RAM doesn't need any initialization on qemu, so we can simply use it
right away. No need to try using the cache as ram in the first place.

We also can place the stack in normal ram right from start and we
don't have to switch it to another place later on. Place the stack
in real mode memory which isn't used for something else.

Add utility code to qemu-riscv, but emulator itself has yet to be
updated to new ISA and as such should not be used.
Update Makefile to include all the files necessary for sbi interface.

Clean up unused include in src/arch/riscv/include/atomic.h and
whitespace in src/mainboard/emulation/spike-riscv/memlayout.ld
Fixed whitespace issues in spike_util.c

8fad21db54 riscv-spike: support for Spike emulation of riscv
Spike support: QEMU RISCV is broken, and the maintainers at Berkeley
are working on it, but at the moment spike is the only way to test
on riscv. Add support for spike console output for debugging.

Privileged ISA: Update to privileged ISA in RISCV (machine,
supervisor, hypervisor, user modes) broke exisitng RISCV asm, and
bootblock.S was updated to match the new spec. Clean old assembly

[pg: things build with gcc 4.9 now, but don't expect them to work.
Hardcoding register names into the assembler language may not be the smartest
idea of the RISCV folks.]

cd37a2ba41 devicetree: Rename unused parameter to passthru
The actual use of the parameter max is to keep track of PCI bus
number while recursively scanning PCI bridges or PCI-e rootports.

Neither CPU, SMBus, LPC or other static buses are involved in this
enumeration, but the way bridge operations were originally designed
forced to pass this argument thru unrelated functions.

Follow-up removes these once the function prototype gets fixed.

899d13d0df cbfs: new API and better program loading
A new CBFS API is introduced to allow making CBFS access
easier for providing multiple CBFS sources. That is achieved
by decoupling the cbfs source from a CBFS file. A CBFS
source is described by a descriptor. It contains the necessary
properties for walking a CBFS to locate a file. The CBFS
file is then decoupled from the CBFS descriptor in that it's
no longer needed to access the contents of the file.

All of this is accomplished using the regions infrastructure
by repsenting CBFS sources and files as region_devices. Because
region_devices can be chained together forming subregions this
allows one to decouple a CBFS source from a file. This also allows
one to provide CBFS files that came from other sources for
payload and/or stage loading.

The program loading takes advantage of those very properties
by allowing multiple sources for locating a program. Because of
this we can reduce the overhead of loading programs because
it's all done in the common code paths. Only locating the
program is per source.

dd2bc3f819 igd.asl rewrite
Old igd.asl had inconsistent addresses (between _DOD and actual device)
and ghost devices. Any of those is enough to make brightness on windows
fail and make igd.asl out-of-ACPI-spec. Also old code favoured ridiculous
copying of the same thing 6 times per chipset. Leave only hooking up and
chipset-specific part in chipset directory. Move NVS handling and ACPI-spec
parts to a common file.
