01f9aa5e54 Consolidate reset API, add generic reset_prepare mechanism
There are many good reasons why we may want to run some sort of generic
callback before we're executing a reset. Unfortunateley, that is really
hard right now: code that wants to reset simply calls the hard_reset()
function (or one of its ill-differentiated cousins) which is directly
implemented by a myriad of different mainboards, northbridges, SoCs,
etc. More recent x86 SoCs have tried to solve the problem in their own
little corner of soc/intel/common, but it's really something that would
benefit all of coreboot.

This patch expands the concept onto all boards: hard_reset() and friends
get implemented in a generic location where they can run hooks before
calling the platform-specific implementation that is now called
do_hard_reset(). The existing Intel reset_prepare() gets generalized as
soc_reset_prepare() (and other hooks for arch, mainboard, etc. can now
easily be added later if necessary). We will also use this central point
to ensure all platforms flush their cache before reset, which is
generally useful for all cases where we're trying to persist information
in RAM across reboots (like the new persistent CBMEM console does).

Also remove cpu_reset() completely since it's not used anywhere and
doesn't seem very useful compared to the others.

75a3d1fb7c amdfam10: Perform major include ".c" cleanup
Previously, all romstages for this northbridge family
would compile via 1 single C file with everything
included into the romstage.c file (!)

This patch separates the build into separate .o modules
and links them accordingly.

Currently compiles and links all fam10 roms without
breaking other roms.

Both DDR2 and DDR3 have been completed

TESTED on REACTS: passes all boot tests for 2 boards
 ASUS KGPE-D16
 ASUS KFSN4-DRE

Some extra changes were required to make it compile
otherwise there were unused functions in included "c" files.
This is because I needed to exchange CIMX
for the native southbridge routines. See in particular:
 advansus/a785e-i
 asus/m5a88-v
 avalue/eax-785e

A followup patch may be required to fix the above boards.

b890a1228d Remove address from GPLv2 headers
As per discussion with lawyers[tm], it's not a good idea to
shorten the license header too much - not for legal reasons
but because there are tools that look for them, and giving
them a standard pattern simplifies things.

However, we got confirmation that we don't have to update
every file ever added to coreboot whenever the FSF gets a
new lease, but can drop the address instead.

util/kconfig is excluded because that's imported code that
we may want to synchronize every now and then.

13e4182119 kbuild: automatically include southbridges
This change switches all southbridge vendors and southbridges
to be autoincluded by Makefile.inc, rather than having to be
mentioned explicitly in southbridge/Makefile.inc or in
southbridge/<vendor>/Makefile.inc.

In order to be able to drop southbridge/amd/Makefile.inc, some
scattered source files had to be moved to a southbridge/amd/common
directory, in accordance to what we are doing on other architectures
already.

This means, vendor and southbridge directories are now "drop
in", e.g. be placed in the coreboot directory hierarchy
without having to modify any higher level coreboot files.

The long term plan is to enable out of tree components to be
built with a given coreboot version (given that the API did not
change).

4104e6cd30 x86: Fix pointer arithmetic regressions from MMIO changes
During the development of commit bde6d30 (x86: Change MMIO addr
in readN(addr)/writeN(addr, val) to pointer), there were several iterations
and patterns tried. An intermediate pattern was the use of u32 pointers,
and division by sizeof(u32). Some of these did not get properly
changed to pointer types of length 1, causing a regression in
the Intel Ibex Peak SATA driver, fixed in commit 9b5f137
(Intel ibexpeak: Fix SATA configuration).

Other regressions of this pattern are fixed here. I audited all changes
to u32 types, and the other ones are safe.

5ab52ddc3d southbridge: Drop print_ implementation from non-romcc boards
Because we had no stack on romcc boards, we had a separate, not as
powerful clone of printk: print_*. Back in the day, like more than
half a decade ago, we migrated a lot of boards to printk, but we never
cleaned up the existing code to be consistent. instead, we worked around
the problem with a very messy console.h (nowadays the mess is hidden in
romstage_console.c and early_print.h)
This patch cleans up the southbridge code to use printk() on all non-ROMCC
boards.

b3f08c61f1 cmos: Rename the CMOS related functions.
Most of the code related to the mc146818 is not related to the RTC and is
really for managing the CMOS storage. Since we intend to add a generic API
for RTC drivers it's inconvenient for those functions to have an rtc_ prefix.
This CL renames those functions so they start with cmos_ instead. There are
some places where rtc_init was called with a comment that says something about
starting the RTC. That wasn't correct before (the RTC is always running), but
it looks a little odd now that the function is called cmos_init.

This CL also opportunistically cleans up some style problems in this file.

24d1d4b472 x86: Unify arch/io.h and arch/romcc_io.h
Here's the great news: From now on you don't have to worry about
hitting the right io.h include anymore. Just forget about romcc_io.h
and use io.h instead. This cleanup has a number of advantages, like
you don't have to guard device/ includes for SMM and pre RAM
anymore. This allows to get rid of a number of ifdefs and will
generally make the code more readable and understandable.

Potentially in the future some of the code in the io.h __PRE_RAM__
path should move to device.h or other device/ includes instead,
but that's another incremental change.

5079a0d32f Remove assembly coded log2 function
As we move to supporting other systems we need to get rid of assembly
where we can. The log2 function in src/lib is identical to the assembly
one (tested for all 32-bit signed integers :-) and takes about 10 ns
to run as opposed to 5ns for the non-portable assembly version. While speed
is good, I think we can spare the 15 ns or so we add to boot time
by using the C version only.

23f38cd05c Get rid of drivers class
The use of ramstage.a required the build system to handle some
object files in a special way, which were put in the drivers
class.

These object files didn't provide any symbols that were used
directly (but only via linker magic), and so the linker never
considered them for inclusion.

With ramstage.a gone, we can drop this special class, too.

914377efd6 Get rid of the old romstage-as-bootblock ROM layout
This change removes CONFIG_TINY_BOOTBLOCK, CONFIG_BIG_BOOTBLOCK, and
all their uses, assuming TINY_BOOTBLOCK=y, BIG_BOOTBLOCK=n.

This might break a couple of boards on runtime, but so far, fixes were
quite simple.
There's a flag day: Code that relies on CONFIG_TINY_BOOTBLOCK must be
adapted.

836ae29ee3 first round name simplification. drop the <component>_ prefix.
the prefix was introduced in the early v2 tree many years ago
because our old build system "newconfig" could not handle two files with
the same name in different paths like /path/to/usb.c and
/another/path/to/usb.c correctly. Only one of the files would end up
being compiled into the final image.

Since Kconfig (actually since shortly before we switched to Kconfig) we
don't suffer from that problem anymore. So we could drop the sb700_
prefix from all those filenames (or, the <componentname>_ prefix in general)

- makes it easier to fork off a new chipset
- makes it easier to diff against other chipsets
- storing redundant information in filenames seems wrong

8463dd9db0 Rename build system variables to be more intuitive, and
at the same time let the user specify sources instead
of object files:
- objs becomes ramstage-srcs
- initobjs becomes romstage-srcs
- driver becomes driver-srcs
- smmobj becomes smm-srcs

The user servicable parts are named accordingly:
ramstage-y, romstage-y, driver-y, smm-y

Also, the object file names are properly renamed now, using
.ramstage.o, .romstage.o, .driver.o, .smm.o suffixes consistently.

Remove stubbed out via/epia-m700 dsdt/ssdt files - they didn't
easily fit in the build system and aren't useful anyway.
