e39becf521 intel/cpu: Switch older models to TSC_MONOTONIC_TIMER
The implementation of udelay() with LAPIC timers
existed first, as we did not have calculations
implemented for TSC frequency.

0f5e01a962 arch/x86: Flip option NO_CAR_GLOBAL_MIGRATION
It is easier to track CAR_GLOBAL_MIGRATION which is
the approach to be deprecated with the next release.

This change enforces new policy; POSTCAR_STAGE=y is
not allowed together with CAR_GLOBAL_MIGRATION=y.

0a4457ff44 lib/stage_cache: Refactor Kconfig options
Add explicit CBMEM_STAGE_CACHE option. Rename
CACHE_RELOCATED_RAMSTAGE_OUTSIDE_CBMEM to TSEG_STAGE_CACHE.

Platforms with SMM_TSEG=y always need to implement
stage_cache_external_region(). It is allowed to return with a
region of size 0 to effectively disable the cache.

There are no provisions in Kconfig to degrade from
TSEG_STAGE_CACHE to CBMEM_STAGE_CACHE.

As a security measure CBMEM_STAGE_CACHE default is changed to
disabled. AGESA platforms without TSEG will experience slower
S3 resume speed unless they explicitly select the option.

dce3927f20 nb/intel/i945: Put stage cache in TSEG
TSEG is not accessible in ring 0 after it is locked in ramstage, in
contrast with cbmem which remains accessible. Assuming SMM does not
touch the cache this is a good region to cache stages.

Tested on Intel D945GCLF and Lenovo Thinkpad X60, on cold boot the
external stage cache gets created and the stage cache gets properly
used on S3 resume.

cf3076eff1 nb/intel/i945: Use common SMM_TSEG code
Use the common SMM_TSEG code to relocate the smihandler to TSEG.

This also caches the TSEG region and therefore increases MTRR usage a
little in some cases.

This fixes S3 resume being broken introduced by CB:25594
"sb/intel/i82801gx: Use common Intel SMM code".

Currently SMRR msr's are not set on model_1067x and model_6fx since
this needs the MSRR enable bit and lock set in IA32_FEATURE_CONTROL.
This will be handled properly in the subsequent parallel mp init
patchset.

Tested on Intel d945gclf and Lenovo Thinkpad X60.

561bebfbaa drivers/intel/gma/vbt: Add Kconfig symbol for SSC ref
The selection of the SSC reference frequency for LVDS was based on a
completely unrelated clock.

The `ssc_freq` flag should be set when the SSC reference runs at a
different frequency than the general display reference clock (DREF).
For most platforms, there is no choice, i.e. for i945 and gm45 the SSC
reference always differs from the display reference clock (i945: 66Mhz
SSC vs. 48MHz DREF; gm45: 100MHz SSC vs. 96Mhz DREF), for Nehalem and
newer, it's the same frequency for SSC/non-SSC (120MHz). The only,
currently supported platform with a choice seems to be Pineview, where
the alternative is 100MHz vs. the default 96MHz.

a73b93157f tree: drop last paragraph of GPL copyright header
It encourages users from writing to the FSF without giving an address.

dd2bc3f819 igd.asl rewrite
Old igd.asl had inconsistent addresses (between _DOD and actual device)
and ghost devices. Any of those is enough to make brightness on windows
fail and make igd.asl out-of-ACPI-spec. Also old code favoured ridiculous
copying of the same thing 6 times per chipset. Leave only hooking up and
chipset-specific part in chipset directory. Move NVS handling and ACPI-spec
parts to a common file.

b890a1228d Remove address from GPLv2 headers
As per discussion with lawyers[tm], it's not a good idea to
shorten the license header too much - not for legal reasons
but because there are tools that look for them, and giving
them a standard pattern simplifies things.

However, we got confirmation that we don't have to update
every file ever added to coreboot whenever the FSF gets a
new lease, but can drop the address instead.

util/kconfig is excluded because that's imported code that
we may want to synchronize every now and then.

751508ab01 northbridge/intel/i945: CHECK_SLFRCS_ON_RESUME Kconfig option
Originally brought up by Sven Schnelle in March 2011
http://patchwork.coreboot.org/patch/2801/
http://www.coreboot.org/pipermail/coreboot/2011-March/064277.html

On some mainboards it may be neccessary to reset early during resume
from S3 if the SLFRCS register indicates that a memory channel is not
guaranteed to be in self-refresh.

On other mainboards, such as Lenovo X60 and T60, the check always
creates false positives, effectively making it impossible to resume.

The SLFRCS register is documented on page 197 of

Mobile Intel® 945 Express Chipset Family Datasheet
Document Number: 309219-006

which is publically available, and the register indicates if a memory
channel is guaranteed to be in self-refresh mode (if bit = 1), or that
a memory channel *may or may not be* in self-refresh mode (if bit = 0).

The register can thus only be used to positively learn that memory is
in self-refresh. It is not known for sure that memory is *not* in
self-refresh. The register is reset by the PWROK signal, which *should*
go low during S3, and go high again when resuming, so it is unsurprising
that SLFRCS has already been cleared when we read the register.

Sven's measurements of the CKE signal on a ThinkPad shows that memory
remains in self-refresh indefinitely, until coreboot re-initializes the
memory controller, even when SLFRCS bits were = 0.

Boards which require a warm reset when SLFRCS bits are cleared must now
explicitly enable the check in the mainboard Kconfig file.

This commit selects the new option in all existing i945 mainboards.
A follow-up commit will remove the option for ThinkPads.

e4bc0f6480 Split NORTHBRIDGE_INTEL_I945 into more precise _I945GC and _I945GM
Both chipsets use the src/northbridge/intel/i945 code but that code
needs to know which chipset is actually used. Having separate
NORTHBRIDGE_ options allows the I945GC/I945GM choice to be removed
since code can test the NORTHBRIDGE_ option directly.

c70e9fc233 Various license header consistency fixes (trivial).
- Consistently use the same wording and formatting for all license headers.

 - Remove useless whitespace, add missing whitespace, fix indentation.

 - Add missing "This file is part of the coreboot project." where needed.

 - Change "(C) Copyright John Doe" to "Copyright (C) John Doe" for consistency.

 - Add some missing "(C)" strings and copyright years where needed.

 - Move random comments and file descriptions out of the license header.
   - Drop incorrect file descriptions completely (e.g. lpc47m10x/Makefile.inc).

There should be no changes in _content_ of the license headers, if you spot
such changes that's a bug, please report!

88f55b2c12 some progress on kconfig:
- northbridges are done
- southbridges are done
- Intel CPUs are done, with a design that the board only has to specify
the socket it has, and the CPUs are pulled in automatically. There is
some more cleanup possible in that area, but I'll do that later
- a couple more mainboards compile:
  - intel/eagleheights
  - intel/jarrell
  - intel/mtarvon
  - intel/truxton
  - intel/xe7501devkit
  - sunw/ultra40
  - supermicro/h8dme
  - tyan/s2850
  - tyan/s2875
  - via/epia
  - via/epia-cn
  - via/epia-m
  - via/epia-m700
  - via/epia-n
  - via/pc2500e
(PPC not considered, probably overlooked something)

All of them only _build_, but some options are probably completely
wrong. To be fixed later
