e3a1247b15 include/console/uart: make index parameter unsigned
The UART index is never negative, so make it unsigned and drop the
checks for the index to be non-negative.

d2d5e44a67 acpi_device: Replace polarity with active_low in acpi_gpio for GpioIo
As per ACPI spec, GpioIo does not have any polarity associated with
it. Linux kernel uses `active_low` argument within GPIO _DSD property
to allow BIOS to indicate if the corresponding GPIO should be treated
as active low. Thus, if GPIO has active high polarity or if it does
not have any polarity associated with it, then the `active_low`
argument is supposed to be set to 0.

Having a `polarity` field in acpi_gpio seems confusing because GPIOs
might not always have polarity associated with them. Example, in case
of DMIC-select GPIO where 0 means select DMIC0 and 1 means select
DMIC1, there is no polarity associated with the GPIO. Thus, it would
be clearer for mainboard to use macros without having to specify a
particular polarity. In order to enable mainboards to provide GPIO
information without polarity for GpioIo usage, this change also adds
`ACPI_GPIO_OUTPUT` and `ACPI_GPIO_INPUT` macros.

e530d816cc drivers/uart/acpi: Add new device driver for UART attached devices
This driver generates an ACPI device object for a UART attached device
with all of the expected device support handlers like different interrupt
sources and power control GPIOs.

Example use:
chip drivers/uart/acpi
    register "name" = ""UDEV""
register "desc" = ""UART Attached Device""
    register "hid" = "ACPI_DT_NAMESPACE_HID"

f3f36faf35 src (minus soc and mainboard): Remove copyright notices
They're listed in AUTHORS and often incorrect anyway, for example:
- What's a "Copyright $year-present"?
- Which incarnation of Google (Inc, LLC, ...) is the current
  copyright holder?
- People sometimes have their editor auto-add themselves to files even
  though they only deleted stuff
- Or they let the editor automatically update the copyright year,
  because why not?
- Who is the copyright holder "The coreboot project Authors"?
- Or "Generated Code"?

Sidestep all these issues by simply not putting these notices in
individual files, let's list all copyright holders in AUTHORS instead
and use the git history to deal with the rest.

755db95d1a (console,drivers/uart)/Kconfig: Fix dependencies
The dependencies of CONSOLE_SERIAL and DRIVERS_UART were somehow
backwards. Fix that. Now, CONSOLE_SERIAL depends on DRIVERS_UART,
because it's using its interface. The individual UART drivers
select DRIVERS_UART, because they implement the interface and
depend on the common UART code.

Some guards had to be fixed (using CONSOLE_SERIAL now instead of
DRIVERS_UART). Some other guards that were only about compilation
of units were removed. We want to build test as much as possible,
right?

1732dcb90c drivers/uart: Add helper function to allow bit-banging
In some cases it may be useful to be able to bitbang a UART, such as
during early bring-up when a driver for the actual controller isn't
available yet. On some platforms we may even want to use this
permanently, such as on the SDM845 where the hardware UART controller
needs to have firmware loaded and is thus unavailable for most of the
bootblock.

This patch adds some helper code that makes it easy to implement this on
a platform, you just have to pass it a function to control the Tx pin
state and it will do the rest. It relies on the mono_time API and is
thus bound to microsecond timing granularity, but that seems to be
barely good enough for 115200 baud if the bit times are calculated
carefully.

43314ffae5 uart: Fix bug in {uart8250, uart8250_mem, ns16550}_rx_byte functions
We have several different UART implementations of which three support a
timeout when receiving characters. In all of these three implementations
there is a bug where when the timeout is hit the last received character
will be returned instead of the needed 0.

The problem is that the timeout variable i is decremented after it has
been checked in the while-loop. That leads to the fact that when the
while-loop is aborted due to a timeout i will contain 0xffffffff and not
0. Thus in turn will fool the following if-statement leading to wrong
return value to the caller in this case. Therefore the caller will see a
received character event if there is none.

e4d7abc0d4 lib: provide clearer devicetree semantics
The devicetree data structures have been available in more than just
ramstage and romstage. In order to provide clearer and consistent
semantics two new macros are provided:

1. DEVTREE_EARLY which is true when !ENV_RAMSTAGE
2. DEVTREE_CONST as a replacment for ROMSTAGE_CONST

The ROMSTAGE_CONST attribute is used in the source code to mark
the devicetree data structures as const in early stages even though
it's not just romstage. Therefore, rename the attribute to
DEVTREE_CONST as that's the actual usage. The only place where the
usage was not devicetree related is console_loglevel, but the same
name was used for consistency. Any stage that is not ramstage has
the const C attribute applied when DEVTREE_CONST is used.
