This change adds and updates headers in all of the soc files that
had missing or unrecognized headers. After this goes in, we can
turn on lint checking for headers in all soc directories.

On a second look broadcom/cygnus and imgtec/pistachio appear to
support full duplex. Therefore, remove the use of spi_xfer_two_vectors().
For mediatek/mt8173 and qualcomm/ipq40xx, the driver is written in such
a way that it does not support full duplex. Remove the use of
spi_xfer_two_vectors() and explicitly error out when a full duplex
transaction is requested.

The rationale is to allow the mainboard to override the default
baudrate for instance by sampling GPIOs at boot.
A new configuration option is available for mainboards to select
this behaviour. It will then have to define the function
get_uart_baudrate to return the computed baudrate.

Allows explicit ordering for vendors that share a common configuration
that must be sourced last.
The issue is that chips in soc/{amd,intel}/[ab].* will be able to
override defaults set in this file, but Kconfig files that get sourced
later (soc/amd/[d-z].*) will NOT be able to override these defaults.
Note: intel and amd soc chips now need to be added manually to the new
Kconfig file

There have been discussions about removing this since it does not seem
to be used much and only creates troubles for boards without defaults,
not to mention that it was configurable on many boards that do not
even feature uart.
It is still possible to configure the baudrate through the Kconfig
option.

Split `i2c.h` into three pieces to ease reuse of the generic defi-
nitions. No code is changed.
* `i2c.h` - keeps the generic definitions
* `i2c_simple.h` - holds the current, limited to one controller driver
per board, devicetree independent I2C interface
* `i2c_bus.h` - will become the devicetree compatible interface for
native I2C (e.g. non-SMBus) controllers

Our current struct for I2C segments `i2c_seg` was close to being compa-
tible to the Linux version `i2c_msg`, close to being compatible to SMBus
and close to being readable (e.g. what was `chip` supposed to mean?) but
turned out to be hard to fix.
Instead of extending it in a backwards compatible way (and not touching
current controller drivers), replace it with a Linux source compatible
`struct i2c_msg` and patch all the drivers and users with Coccinelle.
The new `struct i2c_msg` should ease porting drivers from Linux and help
to write SMBus compatible controller drivers.
Beside integer type changes, the field `read` is replaced with a generic
field `flags` and `chip` is renamed to `slave`.
Patched with Coccinelle using the clumsy spatch below and some manual
changes:
* Nested struct initializers and one field access skipped by Coccinelle.
* Removed assumption in the code that I2C_M_RD is 1.
* In `i2c.h`, changed all occurences of `chip` to `slave`.

spi_crop_chunk is a property of the SPI controller since it depends
upon the maximum transfer size that is supported by the
controller. Also, it is possible to implement this within spi-generic
layer by obtaining following parameters from the controller:
1. max_xfer_size: Maximum transfer size supported by the controller
(Size of 0 indicates invalid size, and unlimited transfer size is
indicated by UINT32_MAX.)
2. deduct_cmd_len: Whether cmd_len needs to be deducted from the
max_xfer_size to determine max data size that can be
transferred. (This is used by the amd boards.)

In builds without CONFIG_VBOOT_SEPARATE_VERSTAGE, verstage files are
linked directly into the bootblock or the romstage. However, they're
still compiled with a separate "libverstage" source file class, linked
into an intermediate library and then linked into the final destination
stage.
There is no obvious benefit to doing it this way and it's unclear why it
was chosen in the first place... there are, however, obvious
disadvantages: it can result in code that is used by both libverstage
and the host stage to occur twice in the output binary. It also means
that libverstage files have their separate compiler flags that are not
necessarily aligned with the host stage, which can lead to weird effects
like <rules.h> macros not being set the way you would expect. In fact,
VBOOT_STARTS_IN_ROMSTAGE configurations are currently broken on x86
because their libverstage code that gets compiled into the romstage sets
ENV_VERSTAGE, but CAR migration code expects all ENV_VERSTAGE code to
run pre-migration.
This patch resolves these problems by removing the separate library.
There is no more difference between the 'verstage' and 'libverstage'
classes, and the source files added to them are just treated the same
way a bootblock or romstage source files in configurations where the
verstage is linked into either of these respective stages (allowing for
the normal object code deduplication and causing those files to be
compiled with the same flags as the host stage's files).
Tested this whole series by booting a Kevin, an Elm (both with and
without SEPARATE_VERSTAGE) and a Falco in normal and recovery mode.

This patch attempts to finish the separation between CONFIG_VBOOT and
CONFIG_CHROMEOS by moving the remaining options and code (including
image generation code for things like FWID and GBB flags, which are
intrinsic to vboot itself) from src/vendorcode/google/chromeos to
src/vboot. Also taking this opportunity to namespace all VBOOT Kconfig
options, and clean up menuconfig visibility for them (i.e. some options
were visible even though they were tied to the hardware while others
were invisible even though it might make sense to change them).

Some Chrome OS boards previously didn't have a hardcoded vboot
configuration (e.g. STARTS_IN_BOOTBLOCK/_ROMSTAGE, SEPARATE_VERSTAGE,
etc.) selected from their SoC and mainboard Kconfig files, and instead
relied on the Chrome OS build system to pass in those options
separately. Since there is usually only one "best" vboot configuration
for a certain board and there is often board or SoC code specifically
written with that configuration in mind (e.g. memlayout), these options
should not be adjustable in menuconfig and instead always get selected
by board and SoC Makefiles (as opposed to some external build system).
(Removing MAINBOARD_HAS_CHROMEOS from Urara because vboot support for
Pistachio/MIPS was never finished. Trying to enable even post-romstage
vboot leads to weird compiler errors that I don't want to track down
now. Let's stop pretending this board has working Chrome OS support
because it never did.)

Adding spi_xfer_two_vectors as .xfer_vector for ipq40xx spi_ctrlr.
Commit c2973d196d ("UPSTREAM: spi: Get rid of SPI_ATOMIC_SEQUENCING")
has added a new driver method xfer_vector to support combined write-read
operation within a single CS cycle. The method is wrapped in the
spi_xfer_vector() API. When spi_ctrlr structure does not have
xfer_vector method, API calls write and read operations sequentially.
However the QCA40xx SPI driver has "forced" CS activation-inactivation
in xfer method, so individual operation will break CS after write
operation, making combined write-read cycle broken.
Adding xfer_vector method to spi_ctrlr is a simple fix to prevent this.

SPI_ATOMIC_SEQUENCING was added to accomodate spi flash controllers with
the ability to perform tx and rx of flash command and response at the
same time. Instead of introducing this notion at SPI flash driver layer,
clean up the interface to SPI used by flash.
Flash uses a command-response kind of communication. Thus, even though
SPI is duplex, flash command needs to be sent out on SPI bus and then
flash response should be received on the bus. Some specialized x86
flash controllers are capable of handling command and response in a
single transaction.
In order to support all the varied cases:
1. Add spi_xfer_vector that takes as input a vector of SPI operations
and calls back into SPI controller driver to process these operations.
2. In order to accomodate flash command-response model, use two vectors
while calling into spi_xfer_vector -- one with dout set to
non-NULL(command) and other with din set to non-NULL(response).
3. For specialized SPI flash controllers combine two successive vectors
if the transactions look like a command-response pair.
4. Provide helper functions for common cases like supporting only 2
vectors at a time, supporting n vectors at a time, default vector
operation to cycle through all SPI op vectors one by one.

1. Define a new structure spi_ctrlr that allows platforms to define
callbacks for spi operations (claim bus, release bus, transfer).
2. Add a new member (pointer to spi_ctrlr structure) in spi_slave
structure which will be initialized by call to spi_setup_slave.

For spi_setup_slave, instead of making the platform driver return a
pointer to spi_slave structure, pass in a structure pointer that can be
filled in by the driver as required. This removes the need for platform
drivers to maintain a slave structure in data/CAR section.

RW flag was added to spi_slave structure to get around a requirement on
some AMD flash controllers that need to group together all spi volatile
operations (write/erase). This rw flag is not a property or attribute of
the SPI slave or controller. Thus, instead of saving it in spi_slave
structure, clean up the SPI flash driver interface. This allows
chipsets/mainboards (that require volatile operations to be grouped) to
indicate beginning and end of such grouped operations.
New user APIs are added to allow users to perform probe, read, write,
erase, volatile group begin and end operations. Callbacks defined in
spi_flash structure are expected to be used only by the SPI flash
driver. Any chipset that requires grouping of volatile operations can
select the newly added Kconfig option SPI_FLASH_HAS_VOLATILE_GROUP and
define callbacks for chipset_volatile_group_{begin,end}.
spi_claim_bus/spi_release_bus calls have been removed from the SPI flash
chip drivers which end up calling do_spi_flash_cmd since it already has
required calls for claiming and releasing SPI bus before performing a
read/write operation.

3ms delay was found in testing to be sufficient for
qup_i2c_write_fifo_flush(), but 1 additional ms was added to give
additional headroom.

In FIFO mode, the I2C driver was not able to fetch
more than 32 bytes of data from the TPM device. Switch to
block mode to be able to read more data.

The code needs to know what kind of part the SoC is, but the question
was weirdly phrased and also exposed to the user (instead of being a
silent "select" to do in a board).

Clear the crash dump cookie set by SBL to indicate that
it is a normal reset.
Inform DDR image of the entrypoint for SDI image to be
preserved in OCIMEM which will be needed during watchdog

Without monotonic timer support, timer related APIs like
timer_monotonic_get etc. are optimized out by the compiler. This
results in timed loops to become indefinite loops
stopwatch_init_msecs_expire(...);
do {
something();
} while (!stopwatch_expired(...));
In our specific case, loops sampling the recovery/wipeout button
in src/mainboard/google/gale/chromeos.c:get_switch_state() turned
into infinite loops and the boot didn't proceed.

DRAM initialization on gale requires ipq blobs to be
loaded from cbfs. vboot_locator first checks cbmem_find to see if cbmem is
initialized and contains selected region info, else it falls back to
vboot work buffer.
Since cbmem_find calls into cbmem_top to identify the location of
cbmem area, board/chipset is expected to return NULL until the backing
store is ready, which in this case until DRAM is initialized in
romstage, return NULL for cbmem_top.

This patch generalizes the approach previously used for ARM32
TTB_SUBTABLES to "auto-detect" whether a certain region was defined in
memlayout.ld. This allows us to get rid of the explicit Kconfig for the
TIMESTAMP region, reducing configuration redundancy and avoiding
confusion when setting up future boards.
(Removing armv4/bootblock_simple.c because it references this Kconfig
and it is a dead file that I just forgot to remove in CL:12076.)

Currently the CBFS mmap cannot be accessed at the beginning of romstage
because it waits until DRAM is initialized. This change first loads CBFS
into SRAM and then switches to using DRAM as the backing once it is
initialized.

It encourages users from writing to the FSF without giving an address.
Linux also prefers to drop that and their checkpatch.pl (that we
imported) looks out for that.

Currently coreboot expects the loader to clear the bss section
for all stages. i.e. stages don't clear their own bss. On ARM
SoCs the BootROM would be responsible for this. To do that
one needs to include the bss section data (all zeros) in the
bootblock.bin file. This was previously being attempted by
keeping the .bss info in the .data section because objcopy
happened zero out non-file allocated data section data.
Instead go back to linking bootblock with the bss section
but mark the bss section as loadable allocatable data. That
way it will be included in the binary properly when objcopy
-O binary is emplyed. Also do the same for the data section
in the case of no non-zero object values are in the data
section.
Without this change the trick of including .bss in .data
was not working when there wasn't a non-zero value object
in the data section.

There's no reason to have a separate verstage.ld now
that there is a unified stage linking strategy. Moreover
verstage support is throughout the code base as it is
so bring in those link script macros into the common
memlayout.h as that removes one more specific thing a
board/chipset needs to do in order to turn on verstage.

The CBFS size is really mainboard specific, since it really depends on
size of the chip on the mainboard, so it makes sense to have it in
the mainboard menu along with the ROM-chip size.
- Move the CBFS_SIZE definition up in src/kconfig
- Move the Mainboard Menu markers out of src/mainboard/kconfig into
src/Kconfig so CBFS_SIZE can live in the mainboard menu.
- Add a long list setting default values to do what the chipset
directories were previously defaulting the values to. This will
be trimmed down in a following patch that creates a common set of
IFD routines. (Who knew that kconfig supported line wrapping?)
- Update the help text.

A new CBFS API is introduced to allow making CBFS access
easier for providing multiple CBFS sources. That is achieved
by decoupling the cbfs source from a CBFS file. A CBFS
source is described by a descriptor. It contains the necessary
properties for walking a CBFS to locate a file. The CBFS
file is then decoupled from the CBFS descriptor in that it's
no longer needed to access the contents of the file.
All of this is accomplished using the regions infrastructure
by repsenting CBFS sources and files as region_devices. Because
region_devices can be chained together forming subregions this
allows one to decouple a CBFS source from a file. This also allows
one to provide CBFS files that came from other sources for
payload and/or stage loading.
The program loading takes advantage of those very properties
by allowing multiple sources for locating a program. Because of
this we can reduce the overhead of loading programs because
it's all done in the common code paths. Only locating the
program is per source.

The RPM initialization Acknowledge is cleared by writing 1
into bit-10 of the RPM_INT_ACK register.
The existing code got it wrong and is writing zero to that bit.

As per discussion with lawyers[tm], it's not a good idea to
shorten the license header too much - not for legal reasons
but because there are tools that look for them, and giving
them a standard pattern simplifies things.
However, we got confirmation that we don't have to update
every file ever added to coreboot whenever the FSF gets a
new lease, but can drop the address instead.
util/kconfig is excluded because that's imported code that
we may want to synchronize every now and then.

The build system includes a bunch of files into verstage that
also exist in romstage - generic drivers etc.
These create link time conflicts when trying to link both the
verstage copy and romstage copy together in a combined configuration,
so separate "stage" parts (that allow things to run) from "library" parts
(that contain the vboot specifics).

This change switches all SOC vendors and southbridges
to be autoincluded by Makefile.inc, rather than having to be
mentioned explicitly in soc/Makefile.inc or in
soc/<vendor>/Makefile.inc.
This means, vendor and SOC directories are now "drop
in", e.g. be placed in the coreboot directory hierarchy
without having to modify any higher level coreboot files.
The long term plan is to enable out of tree components to be
built with a given coreboot version (given that the API did not
change).

BOARD_ID functionality is not what requires the GPIO lib,
but it is the mainboard specific implementations that do.
The option essentially says whether the SoC provides
<soc/gpio.h> (with the interface required by the common
GPIO code). Right now, x86 and Samsung's Exynos SOCs
don't have support for this interface.
So this should be selected by the SOC, not by
BOARD_ID_SUPPORT.

DDR init blob version string can be found at a fixed location in
memory once the blob is loaded. Maximum size of the string is 48
bytes.
The RPM RW version is defined in a 32 bit version stored at yet
another fixed address once RPM RW has started.

Some platforms may pass as a parameter the maskrom or vendor startup
code information when calling the bootblock.
Make sure the bootblock startup code saves this parameter for use by
coreboot. As we don't want to touch memory before caches are
initialized, save the passed in parameter in r10 for the duration of
cache initialization.
Added warning comments to help enforcing that cache initialization
code does not touch r10.

This patch changes the argument order for the (now temporarily unused)
write32() accessor macro (and equivalents for other lengths) from
(value, address) to (address, value) in order to conform with the
equivalent on x86. Also removes one remaining use of write32() on ARM
that slipped through since coccinelle doesn't inspect header files.

I2c transfer may consist of multiple segments (for instance write
segment to set the register address and then a read segment to read
the register value). Transfer should be stopped as soon as a segment
processing error has been reported.

The qup_i2c_write_fifo() made to query QUP_I2C_MASTER_STATUS after QUP
transitions into PAUSE state to ensure that it captures the correct status.
Handled more error bits.

The ipq806x UART is based on the same universal serial port which can
be also configured as i2c or SPI. Configuring it is not a trivial
task, so in case the kernel wants to use earlyprintk() the port needs
to be configured by the firmware.
Invoking uart_init() when the console is not enabled causes include
file collisions, which would require changes to more than 100 files.
Leaving this to another day, rearranging the ipq806x driver to be able
to invoke UART initialization function even when serial console is not
configured.
Also add a check to avoid initialization if UART has been already
set up.

Originally ported QCA UART driver used hardware accessor macros where
both address and data were represented by 32 bit integers. Coreboot
uses macros where addresses are represented by pointers, this make the
code more robust, as accidental swap between address and data does not
go unnoticed.
This patch converts ipq806x UART driver to use coreboot accessors. It
relies on gcc void pointer arithmetic considering objects pointed at
by void pointers to be one byte in size. Also replacing spaces with
hard tabs where appropriate.

The GSBI driver is extended to be able to program the CTRL reg for any given
GSBI block. The NS and MD registers programming is made more readable by
programming the M, N, D and other bits of the registers individually.
Defined configure structs for each QUP block to be able to track the init
status for each qup.
Configured GPIO8 and GPIO9 for I2C fuction.

Add a clock control driver to initialize the clock tree inside the
low-power audio subsystem. Depthcharge builds up on this to enable
audio function on storm.
The clock is hardcoded for 48KHz frame rate, two 16 bit channels.

This patch finds the RPM image in the CBFS, loads it as defined by the
MBN header and signals to the RPM processor where the image is
located and waits for confirmation of the RPM starting.
The interactions with the RPM processor are copied as is from the
vendor provided sample code.
Debug messages added to help identify problems with loading the blobs,
should they ever happen.

The watchdog reset drives the RESETOUT on the chip.

Read the TZBSP blob from CBFS and run it. A side effect of the blob
execution is switching the processor into User mode.
Starting TZBSP requires processor running in Supervisor mode, TZBSP
code is compiled for ARM. Coreboot is executing in System mode and is
compiled for Thumb. An assembler wrapper switches the execution mode
and interfaces between Thumb and ARM modes.

Booting depthcharge requires much larger CBFS cache, but by the time
depthcharge is being booted DRAM is already initialized. Use different
memory spaces for CBFS cache before and after DRAM is available.
Also, make sure that CBMEM uses memory below CBFS cache in DRAM.

Read two blobs from CBFS: cdt.mbn (memory configuration descriptor)
and ddr.mbn (actual memory initialization code).
Pointer to CDT which starts right above the MBN header is passed to
the memory initialization routine. Zero return value means memory
initialization succeeded.

With introduction of uber-sbl SRAM usage pattern is changing, this
introduces the new memory layout.
This patch overlays DDR initialization code with uber-sbl, as uber-sbl
goes out of scope as soon as bootblock starts.
A 4K block at offset 0x3f000 added in the comments, this is a shared
structure used by different QCA modules.
This suggested layout is not final, but will allow to move closer to
the production image.

Non-x86 boards currently need to hardcode the position of their CBFS
master header in a Kconfig. This is very brittle because it is usually
put in between the bootblock and the first CBFS entry, without any
checks to guarantee that it won't overlap either of those. It is not fun
to debug random failures that move and disappear with tiny alignment
changes because someone decided to write "ORBC1112" over some part of
your data section (in a way that is not visible in the symbolized .elf
binaries, only in the final image). This patch seeks to prevent those
issues and reduce the need for manual configuration by making the image
layout a completely automated part of cbfstool.
Since automated placement of the CBFS header means we can no longer
hardcode its position into coreboot, this patch takes the existing x86
solution of placing a pointer to the header at the very end of the
CBFS-managed section of the ROM and generalizes it to all architectures.
This is now even possible with the read-only/read-write split in
ChromeOS, since coreboot knows how large that section is from the
CBFS_SIZE Kconfig (which is by default equal to ROM_SIZE, but can be
changed on systems that place other data next to coreboot/CBFS in ROM).
Also adds a feature to cbfstool that makes the -B (bootblock file name)
argument on image creation optional, since we have recently found valid
use cases for CBFS images that are not the first boot medium of the
device (instead opened by an earlier bootloader that can already
interpret CBFS) and therefore don't really need a bootblock.

The first blob in the Storm bootimage is a concatenation of the
Uber-sbl produced by the qca-firmware ebuild and the coreboot
bootblock.
The new tool is used to add the bootblock to uber-sbl and update the
size values in the combined header.

Commit 257aaee9e3a (arm: Add bootblock_mainboard_early_init() for
pre-console initialization) inadvertently moved the timer initialization
after console initialization for IPQ806x, which is apparently not a good
idea for this platform. This patch solves the issue by moving
init_timer() to bootblock_mainboard_early_init(), which is the new hook
explicitly provided to perform pre-console tasks.

This patch runs basic NAND initialization code on Proto 0.2 boards which
have been reworked for NAND. It makes sense to do this in coreboot for
two reasons:
- In general, it is reasonable for coreboot to initialize clocks and such
in preparation for depthcharge's use. Waiting times can be pooled, and
the initialization itself here is very fast.
- There is a kernel bug which requires that the clock is already initialized
before the kernel loads NAND support. coreboot is a more sensible place
to put a workaround than depthcharge because depthcharge initializes
things lazily, but when booting from USB, depthcharge won't need to look
at NAND.
This change involves bringing in an additional header file, ebi2.h, from U-Boot.
TEST=Booted a kernel from USB and verified that NAND came up without any
depthcharge hacks, whereas previously a USB-booted kernel would be unable
to access NAND even with the same drivers compiled in due to an initialization
failure.

We've had gpiolib.h which defines a few common GPIO access functions for
a while, but it wasn't really complete. This patch adds the missing
gpio_output() function, and also renames the unwieldy
gpio_get_in_value() and gpio_set_out_value() to the much easier to
handle gpio_get() and gpio_set(). The header is renamed to the simpler
gpio.h while we're at it (there was never really anything "lib" about
it, and it was presumably just chosen due to the IPQ806x include/
conflict problem that is now resolved).
It also moves the definition of gpio_t into SoC-specific code, so that
different implementations are free to encode their platform-specific
GPIO parameters in those 4 bytes in the most convenient way (such as the
rk3288 with a bitfield struct). Every SoC intending to use this common
API should supply a <soc/gpio.h> that typedefs gpio_t to a type at most
4 bytes in length. Files accessing the API only need to include <gpio.h>
which may pull in additional things (like a gpio_t creation macro) from
<soc/gpio.h> on its own.
For now the API is still only used on non-x86 SoCs. Whether it makes
sense to expand it to x86 as well should be separately evaluated at a
later point (by someone who understands those systems better). Also,
Exynos retains its old, incompatible GPIO API even though it would be a
prime candidate, because it's currently just not worth the effort.

It's been a while since SBL blob size was reduced. As CBFS area by
definition includes the bootblock, storm configuration needs to be
updated to address the changes in layout.
Incidentally, it looks like CBFS_SIZE configuration setting is not
used on ARM platforms, this will have to be addressed separately.

This patch creates a new mechanism to define the static memory layout
(primarily in SRAM) for a given board, superseding the brittle mass of
Kconfigs that we were using before. The core part is a memlayout.ld file
in the mainboard directory (although boards are expected to just include
the SoC default in most cases), which is the primary linker script for
all stages (though not rmodules for now). It uses preprocessor macros
from <memlayout.h> to form a different valid linker script for all
stages while looking like a declarative, boilerplate-free map of memory
addresses to the programmer. Linker asserts will automatically guarantee
that the defined regions cannot overlap. Stages are defined with a
maximum size that will be enforced by the linker. The file serves to
both define and document the memory layout, so that the documentation
cannot go missing or out of date.
The mechanism is implemented for all boards in the ARM, ARM64 and MIPS
architectures, and should be extended onto all systems using SRAM in the
future. The CAR/XIP environment on x86 has very different requirements
and the layout is generally not as static, so it will stay like it is
and be unaffected by this patch (save for aligning some symbol names for
consistency and sharing the new common ramstage linker script include).

the CBMEM console on Falco, Blaze (both normal and vboot2), Pinky and
Pit. Compiled Ryu, Storm and Urara, manually compared the disassemblies
with ToT and looked for red flags.

With VPD blob of certain format, CBFS cache on storm proves to be not
large enough. This patch makes it bigger, it is still well above the
area preserved for the NSS.

Add implementation of the GPIO API defined in src/include/gpiolib.h.
Also, clean up the GPIO driver, make it use pointers instead of
integers for register address.
This requires a touch in the SPI driver, where the CS GPIO is toggled
and in the board function where it enables USB interface.

Some platforms use tertiary interpretation of GPIO input state to
increase number of distinct values represented by a limited number of
GPIOs. The three states are
- external pull down (interpreted as 0)
- external pull up (1)
- not connected (2)
This has been required by Nvidia devices so far, but Exynos and
Ipq8086 platforms need this too.
This patch moves the function reading the tertiary state into the
library and exposes the necessary GPIO API functions in a new include
file. The functions are still supposed to be provided by platform
specific modules.
The function interpreting the GPIO states has been modified to allow
to interpret the state either as a true tertiary number or as a set
two bit fields.
Since linker garbage collection is not happening when building x86
targets, a new configuration option is being added to include the new
module only when needed.

The current spi_xfer() function sets the count in hardware and then
loops while waiting for the requested number of bytes to be sent or
received. However, the number of bytes to be transferred may exceed
the maximum count that can be programmed into the controller.
This patch re-factors spi_xfer() to split the low-level FIFO handling
portions for transmit/receive into their own functions to be called
by loops in spi_xfer() which will break large transfers into smaller
ones.

The default CBFS size configuration setting is incorrect in case of
Qualcomm SOC targets, as the coreboot blob is much smaller than the
actual bootprom. Note that this size also must match the board fmap
defined in the appropriate depthcharge board directory.

This reverts the revert commit 5780d6f387
and fixes the build issue that cuased it to be reverted.
Verstage will host vboot2 for firmware verification.
It's a stage in the sense that it has its own set of toolchains,
compiler flags,
and includes. This allows us to easily add object files as needed. But
it's directly linked to bootblock. This allows us to avoid code
duplication for stage loading and jumping (e.g. cbfs driver) for the
boards
where bootblock has to run in a different architecture (e.g. Tegra124).
To avoid name space conflict, verstage symbols are prefixed with
verstage_.
TEST=Built with VBOOT2_VERIFY_FIRMWARE on/off. Booted Nyan Blaze.

Depthcharge clears up all unused DRAM before starting Linux, and does
not know the translation table location. Instead of adding an
exclusion term to the memory wipe descriptor let's move the table to
the top of IMEM, it is also likely to be a good location in the
future, when EFS is introduced.

This patch adds code to initialize the two DWC3 USB host controllers and
their associated PHYs to the IPQ806x SoC (closely imitating the existing
DWC3 implementation for Exynos5), and uses them to initialize USB on the
Storm mainboard.

TEST=Hack up netboot to get around missing SPI flash, load a file over
TFTP. Hack a storage read into the storage attach function, dump the
data and confirm that it looks right. Enable USB debugging and confirm

The driver as it was copied from u-boot provided a function to
transmit multiple characters in one invocation. This feature was not
ported to coreboot, there is no need to maintain the complexity when
only one character at a time is transmitted. It is also very desirable
to get rid of a 1024 byte array allocated on the stack.
The array was necessary to allow to convert multiple newline
characters in the transmit data flow into two character sequences
CRLF. Now just a single word is enough to keep one or two characters
to transmit.

The recently introduced page table location value is wrong, it
overlaps with other areas of the code. This patch fixes the location,
a more robust scheme is needed for memory layout management.

Define a base address for page table entries. Place it 64KB below the
bootblock loading address.

The main benefit of adding this skeleton is the addition of the
correct memory map to CBMEM. Attempts to load depthcharge do not fail
because of unavailability of the bounce buffer.

storm: initialize dynamic cbmem properly
Dynamic cbmem support has been enabled on storm, but the proper
initialization at romstage is missing.
Proper DRAM base address definition is also necessary so that CBMEM is
placed in the correct address range (presently at the top of DRAM).

This change forces storm platform to use the common CBFS SPI wrapper,
which makes the SOC specific CBFS code unnecessary and requires
including SPI controller support in all coreboot stages.

This service is required by various coreboot code modules. It looks
like the 8064 SOC does not provide anything better than a 32 KHz free
running counter (it is used in u-boot for us timer as well). Let's use
this for now.

A typical SPI operation consists of two phases - command and data
transfers. Command transfer is always from the host to the chip (i.e.
is going in the 'write' direction), data transfer could be either read
or write.
We don't want the receive FIFO to be operating while the command phase
is in progress. A simple way to keep the receive FIFO shut down is to
not to enable it until the command phase is completed.
Selective control of the receive FIFO allows to consolidate the
receive and transmit functions in a single spi_xfer() function, as it
happens in other SPI controller drivers.
The FIFO FULL and FIFO NOT EMPTY conditions are used to decide if the
next byte can be written or received, respectively. While data is
being received the 0xFF bytes are transmitted per each received byte,
to keep the SPI bus clocking.
The data structure describing the three GSBI ports is moved from the
.h file into .c file. A version of the clrsetbits macro is added to
work with integer addresses instead of pointers.

The original patch from chromium was a bit of a mishmash.
Between that, rebasing and using the coreboot.org UART infrastructure,
the patch has changed a bit from the original. It seems reasonable to
keep these changes together.
- build in the ipq UART and turn on bootblock console
- sets LPAE and ROM header address
- adds cpd.c to storm

ipq8064: make UART driver work in bootblock
This patch it the last one in the chain adapting the ipq9064 UART
driver for use in coreboot. A new config option
(CONSOLE_SERIAL_IPQ806X) is being introduced to control inclusion of
the driver.
The previously introduced uart_wrapper.c is now included in the build
to provide the console driver structure used by ramstage.
Necessary configuration options are added to allow use of UART in the
bootblock.

The IO accessor wrappers are used to allow integer register addresses.
A structure defining UART interface configuration is declared and
defined. A few long lines are wrapped. Interface functions are renamed
to match the wrapper API.
cdp.c is edited to fit into coreboot compilation environment, and the
only function required by the UART driver if exposed, the rest are
compiled out for now.

These patch modifies .h files to match the coreboot API. A few more
significant changes are:
- UART specific fields removed from common board structure in cdp.h.
These fields are set at compile time in u-boot (where this
structure comes from), they will be set in a different structure in
the UART driver in an upcoming patch.

The following patches had to be squashed
to properly build all the different ARM boards.
ipq8064: storm: re-arrange bootblock initialization
The recent addition of the storm bootblock initialization broke
compilation of Exynos platforms. The SOC specific code needs to be
kept in the respective source files, not in the common CPU code.
As of now coreboot does not provide a separate SOC initialization API.
In general it makes sense to invoke SOC initialization from the board
initialization code, as the board knows what SOC it is running on.
Presently all what's need initialization on 8064 is the timer. This
patch adds the SOC initialization framework for 8064 and moves there
the related code.

arm: Redesign mainboard and SoC hooks for bootblock
This patch makes some slight changes to the way bootblock_cpu_init() and
bootblock_mainboard_init() are used on ARM. Experience has shown that
nearly every board needs either one or both of these hooks, so having
explicit Kconfigs for them has become unwieldy. Instead, this patch
implements them as a weak symbol that can be overridden by mainboard/SoC
code, as the more recent arm64_soc_init() is also doing.
Since the whole concept of a single "CPU" on ARM systems has kinda died
out, rename bootblock_cpu_init() to bootblock_soc_init(). (This had
already been done on Storm/ipq806x, which is now adjusted to directly
use the generic hook.) Also add a proper license header to
bootblock_common.h that was somehow missing.
Leaving non-ARM32 architectures out for now, since they are still using
the really old and weird x86 model of directly including a file. These
architectures should also eventually be aligned with the cleaner ARM32
model as they mature.

Commment out nonessential timer services and modify the source code to
cleanly build in coeboot environment. Do not remove dead code just
yet, these functions might be necessary later.
Need to rename the soc timer.h to prevent collisions with timer.h in
the top level include directory.

The SBL3 currently seems to be preventing the bootblock from being
loaded into the IMEM. As a temporary measure, map bootblock into DRAM
(as it is available after SBL2 finished running) and specify the
correct stack space.

The sbl blobs could not yet be published, they have been moved to a
private location. Update coreboot to pick up the blobs at the correct
place.

We want the coreboot build produce an image which can be run on the
target, even if the remaining parts of the bootprom (recovery path,
read-write stages, gbb, etc.) are not available yet.
This is achieved by including the Qualcomm SBLs blob in the bootblock.

Ipq8064 SBLs initialize the hardware to prepare it to run an arbitrary
user provided bootloader. The only bootloader requirements imposed by
the SBLs are that it is concatenated with the SBL chunks in the
bootprm AND it uses MBN encapsulation (mostly to specify the size and
load address).
This patch adds configuration options to specify the location of the
SBL blobs and to require MBN encapsulation of the bootblock.
