0186912f9e mb/lenovo: dGPU power handling on T430, T530
Enable dGPU power handling on Lenovo ThinkPad T430, T530 via PMH7
register 0x50.

Although there's no Thinker-1 chip on these models according to
schematics, dGPU power control via PMH7 works the same as on T420/T520,
so they can be considered Thinker-1-compatible.

It can be tested from linux userspace using util/pmh7tool.

To turn dGPU power off:
  pmh7tool -c 0x50 7
  pmh7tool -c 0x50 3

To turn it on:
  pmh7tool -s 0x50 3
  pmh7tool -s 0x50 7

To check whether it is on (bash):
  reg=0x$(pmh7tool -r 0x50)
  echo "$(( (( reg & 0x08 )) >> 3 ))"
or just `pmh7tool -b 0x50 3` with
https://review.coreboot.org/#/c/coreboot/+/28388/

Tested on ThinkPad W530.

cea8493285 southbridge/intel/bd82x6x/Kconfig: Do not include any IFD by default
Since only a handful of boards have descriptor blobs in the tree, it makes no
sense to have `HAVE_IFD_BIN` enabled by default then disabled on each mainboard.
This patch flips the default value of said variable, rendering all current
overrides unnecessary. The few boards which have an IFD in the blobs repo use
`select HAVE_IFD_BIN` to enable adding the IFD by default.

Since `HAVE_ME_BIN` depends on `HAVE_IFD_BIN`, the former has been removed
alongside the latter, and has been added to the boards with a ME blob as
`select HAVE_ME_BIN`.

Both `HAVE_IFD_BIN` and `HAVE_ME_BIN` have been removed from autoport as well.

04d2601426 sb/intel/common/firmware: Enable me_cleaner for Nehalem
Recent patches in coreboot have fixed the freeze issues related to the
use of me_cleaner on Nehalem.

However, at least on the Lenovo X201, with me_cleaner some PCIe devices
(like the SATA and USB controllers) disappear. In particular, setting
the AltMeDisable bit ("-S" or "-s" flag) makes them disappear
completely, while unsetting it makes them disappear only during cold
boots.

This kind of behaviour was already observed by Youness Alaoui on the
Purism Librem laptops ([1]), and it seems related to some required
board-specific PCIe configuration in the ME's MFS partition.

For this reason, on the Lenovo X201, "-w EFFS" has been added to the
me_cleaner arguments, which whitelists the MFS-equivalent partition for
ME generation 2. This fixes all the issues, and the PCIe devices work as
expected.

28cdd4c8d3 mb/lenovo/t520: Add Dual Graphics CMOS support
Adds the CMOS option for Dual Graphics, as is present in more Lenovo models
already. Enabling this option ensures that the NVIDIA GPU is powered.

More PCI devices can be observed when activating this setting. It was verified
on a W520, also by loading a VGA option ROM and achieving a working Dual
Graphics system.

The CMOS default has been kept to 'Integrated Only', as the usage of Dual
Graphics requires an option ROM and drains the battery more quickly.

0a4e0fd913 cpu/intel/speedstep: Fix the PNOT ACPI method
The PNOT method never notifies the CPU to update it's _CST methods due
to reliance on inexisting variable (PDCx).

Add a method in the speedstep ssdt generator to notify all available
CPU nodes and hook this up in this file.

The cpu.asl file is moved to cpu/intel/speedstep/acpi since it now
relies on code generated in the speedstep ssdt generator. CPUs not
using the speedstep code never included this PNOT method so this is
a logical place for this code to be.

a17796e601 mb/lenovo/x200/dock.asl: Issue DOCK ACPI events based on Dock ID
Some Dock events only need to happen based on the Dock Id (which
functions as a presence detect GPIO).

Inspired by vendor bios DSDT.

This fixes undock ACPI events being issued when pulling out the power
when docked or undocked (but still generates one when forcibly
undocked)

Tested on X200: pull power and see if undock events are generated in
dmesg.

be6fd4c4b5 mb/lenovo: add Lenovo ThinkPad X131e (Intel)
The Intel version of ThinkPad X131e can ship with Sandy Bridge or
Ivy Bridge processors. The mainboard uses 8MiB+4MiB flash chips, with
the 8MiB chip containing the IFD and ME, and the 4MiB chip containing
the BIOS. The flash chips can be accessed with an external programmer.

This port was primarily created using autoport, with some parts adapted
from lenovo/x230 and google/stout.

Tested and working:
 - Machine type 3367AH5 / Intel Celeron 887 (Sandy Bridge)
 - Boots Debian GNU/Linux 9.2 (Linux 4.9.51) via SeaBIOS
 - Boot from internal SATA and USB
 - Native RAM init
 - Native VGA init
 - libgfxinit
 - VGA and HDMI display output
 - Keyboard, trackpoint, touchpad
 - Audio (speaker, headphones)
 - Ethernet (Realtek)
 - Display backlight
 - USB 3.0 ports
 - "Always on" USB port (EHCI debug)
 - SD card reader
 - Webcam
 - Fan and temperature sensors
 - ACPI S3 (Sleep)
 - CMOS
 - TPM

Not tested:
 - WLAN/Bluetooth (Broadcom)
 - WWAN/mSATA (no card)
 - Other operating systems

Not working or not implemented:
 - Fn keys
 - ACPI S4 (Hibernation) "Image mismatch: memory size"

60d9ce3937 mainboard/lenovo: add Lenovo Z61t laptop
This platform shares most hardware components with first-gen Core
Lenovo laptops such as T60/X60, with much smaller EEPROM size as
one of notable differences. The port features Intel graphics,
ATI-based version should work with vendor VBIOS.

Tested peripherals:
 - sleep/resume,
 - USB ports,
 - ACPI Fn key bindings/volume buttons,
 - backlight control,
 - ethernet,
 - wireless (under Linux),
 - sound/beep,
 - dock handling,
 - serial via dock.

Untested peripherals:
 - IrDA,
 - parallel port,
 - PCMCIA,
 - S-Video port,
 - modem,
 - FP reader (should just work),
 - IEEE1394.

Linux 3.16 works with native gfxinit perfectly, with Intel VBIOS
console sometimes displays nothing when i915 framebuffer is used.

Windows 7 has an interrupt assignment issue with iw3945, otherwise
tested stuff is fine.

390ba044dc AGESA binaryPI: Consolidate and fix sleep states
SSFG was meant to be used as a mask to enable sleep states
_S1 thru _S4. However as a logical instead of bitwise 'and'
operation was used, all the states were enabled if only
one was marked available.

State _S3 is now set conditionally if HAVE_ACPI_RESUME=y.
For pi/hudson this had been fixed already preprocessor.

Note that all boards had SSFG == 0x0D that previously
enabled ACPI S3 sleep state even when it was not available.
States _S1 and _S2 still appear enabled in ASL/AML
but may not actually work.

TEST: 'cat /sys/power/state' and notice choice 'mem' was
removed from the list of available sleep states.

28c4d2f7e0 AGESA: Introduce AGESA_LEGACY_WRAPPER and its counterpart
We define AGESA_LEGACY_WRAPPER a method of calling AGESA
via functions in agesawrapper.c file. The approach implemented
there makes it very inconvenient to do board-specific
customisation or present common platform-specific features.
Seems like it also causes assertion errors on AGESA side.
The flag is applied here to all boards and then individually
removed one at a time, as things get tested.

New method is not to call AGESA internal functions directly,
but via the dispatcher. AGESA call parameters are routed to
hooks in both platform and board -directories, to allow for
easy capture or modification as needed.

For each AGESA dispatcher call made, eventlog entries are
replayed to the console log. Also relocations of AGESA heap
that took place are recorded.

New method is expected to be compatible with binaryPI.

f63fbdb63a mb/lenovo/x201: Add support for ThinkLight
The thinkpad-acpi driver uses the UCMS (CMOS) ACPI method to control the
ThinkLight from the Operating System. This patch adds partial support for
that method, enough to enable or disable the ThinkLight:

echo on >/proc/acpi/ibm/light
echo off >/proc/acpi/ibm/light

With the original BIOS the UCMS method exposes a wide range of values
through a generic /proc/acpi/ibm/cmos interface. With the changes suggested
in this patch that interface is also exposed but only accepts the commands
to enable or disable the ThinkLight; all other commands are ignored.

This change would potentially benefit all currently supported Thinkpad
models, I only have an X201 available for tests though.

8795feb644 mb/lenovo/t420: Enable libgfxinit
In the single GPU configuration, the T420 has an LVDS port, one DP++
and one VGA port connected to the IGD. Docking solutions feature up to
two additional DP/DVI-D ports, also directly connected to the IGD.
This makes the list of ports to probe pretty long (takes about 70ms
if nothing but LVDS is connected). We could save about 20~30ms if we'd
limit the ports in case we are not docked or have a discrete GPU.

79a27ac8b8 mb/lenovo/t60: Remove PCI reset code from romstage
Commit bf264e94 (i945:) adds a PCI reset to the romstage, and commit
bc8613ec (Fix i945 based boards) fixes that to use the correct
delay of 200 ms. This code was then copied over, when adding support for
the Lenovo T60.

The reset was related to the shipped crypto card on the Roda RK886EX and
Kontron 986LCD-M, so is not needed on the Lenovo T60. So remove it, to
reduce the boot time by 200 ms.

The same change is done for the Lenovo X60 in commit 7676730b

967d94d626 AGESA: Introduce AGESA_LEGACY and its counterpart
We define AGESA_LEGACY as an implementation of mainboard

has several downsides when it comes to making platform-wide

We start by creating per-family romstage.c file, which
boards will gradually take into use by removing the
AGESA_LEGACY Kconfig option we here apply to all of them.

8e079000dc nb/i945/gma.c: Refactor panel setup
This reuses some of gm45 code to set up the panel.

Panel start and stop delays and pwm frequency can now be set in
devicetree.

Linux does not make the difference between 945gm and gm45
for panel delays, so it is safe to assume the semantics of those
registers are the same.

The core display clock is computed according to "Mobile Intel® 945
Express Chipset Family" Datasheet.

This selects Legacy backlight mode since most targets have some smm
code that rely on this.

This sets the same backlight frequency as vendor bios on Thinkpad X60
and T60.

A default of 180Hz is selected for the PWM frequency if it is not
defined in the devicetree, this might be annoying for displays that
are LED backlit, but is a safe value for CCFL backlit displays.

8183025be9 intel/i945: Use romstage_handoff for S3
Don't use scratchpad registers when we have romstage_handoff
to pass S3 resume flag. Scratchpad register was read too
late in ramstage so acpi_is_wakeup_s3() did not evaluate
correctly.

This fixes low memory corruption at 0x1000-0x102c and the lack
of coreboot tables (util/cbmem not working) after S3 resume.

This also fixes console log from reporting early in ramstage

As this is 11 vs 256 bytes with slow SMBus operations, we save

In the DIMM replacement case this adds some 10ms per installed DIMM
as some SPD gets read twice, but we are on slow RAM training boot path

f1395d825b ec/lenovo/h8: Add USB Always On
USB AO is the internal name for the dedicated charging port on
ThinkPads when in S3 or lower.

AOEN (bit 0) is internal name for enabling this feature while AOCF
(bits 2 and 3) is the configuration field. According to Peter Stuge,
AOCF can be configured in this way:

    00 => AC S3 S4 S4 USB on, battery S3 USB on, battery S4 S5 off
    11 => AC S3 S4 S4 USB on, battery S3 S4 S5 USB off
    10, 01 => equivalent to 00

This commit also adds a new configuration field in the CMOS of the
X220 and the X201 to activate this feature. It probably can be also
added to all the ThinkPads that support this functionality.

With this functionality USB devices are able to negotiate full power
from the dedicated port (usually the yellow one) even in S3.

Tested on a X201 and X220 with an Android smartphone: with this
feature enabled it shows "Charging" when connected during S3, without
it it shows "Charging slowly" (or it doesn't charge at all on the
X201).

For some reasons the "AC only" mode doesn't work, so it has been
disabled.

e1f0ac4baa lenovo/x60: CST table: use MWAIT requests instead of P_LVLx I/O reads
Requesting low power acpi cpu c-states has two software interfaces:
Using P_LVLx I/O reads or using equivalent MWAIT requests.
This change makes it more consistent with newer targets that use MWAIT
requests.

There also exists extended intel acpi c-states which can be enabled
in two ways:
- using a substate hint to the mwait request (defined in bios);
- setting a model specific register (msr)

Currently this is done by setting the right msr bits but with this
change one can experiment by adding substate hints.

58afca4a1a nb/gm45: allow use of 352M preallocated ram for igd
The datasheets on gm45: "Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family"
mention the possibility of having 352M ram preallocated for the
integrated graphic device. This only worked fine if the amount of ram in
the system was 3GB or less. When 4G or more is installed, memory is
remapped to create a 1GB large pci mmio hole which is not enough and
creates conflicts when 352M vram is used.

This patch increases the pci mmio hole size on Lenovo x200 to allow
352M vram to work.

TEST: build and flash on target with 4GB ram or more, use nvramtool to
set gfx_uma_size to 352M and reboot.

874a8f961f i945: Enable changing VRAM size
On i945 the vram size is the default 8mb. It is also possible
to set it 1mb or 0mb hardcoding the GGC register in early_init.c

The intel documentation on i945, "Mobile Intel® 945 Express Chipset
Family datasheet june 2008" only documents those three options.
They are set using 3 bits. The documententation also makes mention
of 4mb, 16mb, 32mb, 48mb, 64mb but not how to set it.

The other non documented (straight forward) bit combinations allow
to change the VRAM size to those other states.

What this patch does is:
- add those undocumented registers with their respective vram size to
the i945 NB code;
- make this a cmos option on targets that have this northbridge.

TEST: build, flash to target, set cmos as desired and boot linux.
On Debian it can be found using "dmesg | grep stolen".
NOTE: dmesg message about reserved vram are quite different depending
on linux version

2a1847ea12 lenovo/x200,t400: enable C4 cpu low power state
This enables the C4 low power state on the lenovo x200 and t400.
It's inspired by the thread on the mailinglist:
"[coreboot] Lenovo X200 running Coreboot drains 3-4W more power
than with Vendor BIOS".

What this does, is to enable a C3 state using MWAIT(C3) request
and set the southbridge config c4onc3_enable to automatically
upgrade C3 to the lower power C4 state.
The latency (0x37) is the same value used by the vendor bios.

With C4 enabled the idle power consumption is about ~2-3W lower.

TEST= build and install on target. Use powertop top to measure power
usage. To manually disable c-state to compare them,
do (tested on linux 4.4):
echo 1 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu*/cpuidle/stateX/disable
