df1fb9c05f amd/amdmct/mct_ddr3: Use training values from previous boot if possible
DRAM training accounts for most of the romstage startup time, yet
if the hardware configuration has not changed from the previous boot
the previously discovered training values are still valid. Use them
if the DIMM configuration has not changed since the last boot.

The SPD values of all installed DIMMs are hashed and stored in the S3
resume data area of the main system Flash device. If a DIMM is changed
the hash will almost certainly change as well, forcing retraining on next
boot.

74b13a5616 mainboard/asus/kfsn4-dre_k8: Fix broken dual CPU package support
The existing KFSN4-DRE support hung during ramstage while initializing
AP #3 if a second CPU package was installed. After analyzing the
Sun Ultra 40 M2 support code it became apparent that the K8 code
cannot function correctly if sequential RAM training is disabled,
and that there were a few other missing calls. This patch adds
the missing calls, adjust the CAR space to an appropriate level, and
explicitly defines the link numbers and connections in devicetree.cb

fcbebb61c5 PCI subsystem: Drop PCI_64BIT_PREF_MEM option
No board in the tree selects this and it looks like the implementation
was done at chipset level while it should be part of PCI subsystem.

When enabled, at least AMD K8 and f14, f15tn and f16kb fail build test.

Feature of placing prefetchable PCI memory above 4GB may not work if
there is any 32-bit only prefetchable PCI BARs in the system.

7748ee5ee1 AMD K8 fam10: Refactor Kconfig SB_HT_CHAIN_ON_BUS0
If SB_HT_CHAIN_ON_BUS0 is selected, HyperTransport chain for System Bus
is the first to scan and it will be assigned with bus number 0.

If HT_CHAIN_DISTRIBUTE is selected, each link will reserve a fixed range
of bus numbers instead of assigning consecutive numbers across all the links.

All fam10 have SB_HT_CHAIN_ON_BUS0 selected under northbridge.
Follow-up can easily drop this if we find this is dictated by architecture.

b890a1228d Remove address from GPLv2 headers
As per discussion with lawyers[tm], it's not a good idea to
shorten the license header too much - not for legal reasons
but because there are tools that look for them, and giving
them a standard pattern simplifies things.

However, we got confirmation that we don't have to update
every file ever added to coreboot whenever the FSF gets a
new lease, but can drop the address instead.

util/kconfig is excluded because that's imported code that
we may want to synchronize every now and then.

139e1067b6 kconfig: automatically include mainboards
This change switches all mainboard vendors and mainboards
to be autoincluded by Kconfig, rather than having to be mentioned
explicitly.

This means, vendor and mainboard directories are becoming more
"drop in", e.g. be placed in the coreboot directory hierarchy
without having to modify any higher level coreboot files.

The long term plan is to enable out of tree mainboards / components
to be built with a given coreboot version (given that the API did
not change)

86f4ca5b4b cpu/amd/model_10xxx: Add support for early cbmem
mainboards/amd/fam10: Initialize cbmem area after raminit

When GFXUMA is enabled, CBMEM is placed at TOM - UMASIZE
When GFXUMA is disabled, CBMEM is placed at TOM
This matches the behaviour present before conversion to early
CBMEM.

The CBMEM location code implicitly assumes TOM does not change
between romstage and ramstage. TOM is set by romstage raminit,
and is never changed by romstage or ramstage afterward. As
the CBMEM location is positioned at a specific offset from TOM
that is known to both romstage and ramstage early CBMEM is safe
on Fam10h systems.

TEST: Booted ASUS KFSN4-DRE and verified both cbmem timestamp
tables from romstage and cbmem log tables from ramstage.

486c05f4bf AMD cimx/sb800: Fix PCI-to-PCI bridge 0:14.4 configuration
A set of pins can be configured for GPIO or (parallel) PCI bridge use.

When requested configuration is 0:14.4 enabled, register programming
must be done before attempting to enumerate devices behind the bridge.

When requested configuration is 0:14.4 disabled, we must not even
temporarily enable pins for PCI use to avoid spurious GPIO state changes.

As our PCI subsystem currently does not configure visible PCI bridges
that are marked disabled, we cannot mark 0:14.4 disabled just yet but
need to handle pcengines/apu1 as a special case.

Drop related dead code.

8057285119 mainboards: Add support for the Asus KFSN4-DRE series of motherboards
Status:
Tested with KFSN4-DRE PCB v1.04G
Booted Ubuntu Linux 14.04 and all onboard peripherals appear to work.
Dual Opteron 8347 CPUs tested with 8GB RAM (4GB per bank).
Dual Opteron 8356 CPUs tested with 1GB RAM in slot A1.
AMD PowerNow! functions correctly via ACPI.
Video, network, USB, SATA, and serial have received thorough testing.
Tested with KFSN4-DRE PCB v1.05G
Single Opteron 2419 CPU tested with 1GB RAM in slot A1.
Booted to PXE configuration menu; not tested further.

Known issues:
RAM initialization is a bit flaky with multiple high-density modules;
this could be a generic MCT training issue but is probably bad hardware.
The XGI Volari option ROM crashes SeaBIOS v1.7.5, but the video device
works after Linux boots and initializes the device.
Suspend/resume functions at the S1 level but sometimes hangs on resume.
Wake on LAN can be flaky; the strap(s) needed to have WoL work on power
application were not physically installed by ASUS so the board needs to
boot at least once after power application before it will work.

069f4766a0 mainboard: Drop print_ implementation from non-romcc boards
Because we had no stack on romcc boards, we had a separate, not as
powerful clone of printk: print_*. Back in the day, like more than
half a decade ago, we migrated a lot of boards to printk, but we never
cleaned up the existing code to be consistent. instead, we worked around
the problem with a very messy console.h (nowadays the mess is hidden in
romstage_console.c and early_print.h)
This patch cleans up the mainboard code to use printk() on all non-ROMCC
boards.

Fix system include paths to be consistent. Chipset support is
part of the Coreboot 'system' and hence 'non-local' (i.e., in

to perhaps allow future work to do pre-compiled headers (PCH) on
the buildbot for faster build times. However, this currently just
makes mainboard's consistent.

546953c0c5 Replace hlt with halt()
There were instances of unneeded arch/hlt.h includes,
various hlt() calls that weren't supposed to exit (but
might have) and various forms of endless loops around
hlt() calls.

All these are sorted out now: unnecessary includes are
dropped, hlt() is uniformly replaced with halt() (except
in assembly, obviously).

1ab2027955 Intel: Add common header file for CAR setup
When passing '-ffreestanding' the 'main' romstage.c may no longer
necessarily be considered the entry point.

From the C specification in 5.1.2.1 Freestanding environment;

"In a freestanding environment (in which C program execution may take
place without any benefit of an operating system), the name and type of
the function called at program startup are implementation-defined."

Clang complains about these being missing as Clang is somewhat more
strict about the spec than GNU/GCC is. An advantage here is that a
different entry-point type-signature shall now be warned about at
compile time.

f7bfc34942 intel: Remove GFXUMA and related global variables
Remove use of global variables uma_memory_base and uma_memory_size
from builds with Intel northbridges, as these variables can be kept
within the chipset or even as stack locals.

Intel platforms have no functional implemenation for option GFXUMA.
If we did implement some choice between external and integrated graphics,
it needs to be named in less obscure fashion.

99ac98f7e1 Introduce stage-specific architecture for coreboot
Make all three coreboot stages (bootblock, romstage and ramstage) aware of the
architecture specific to that stage i.e. we will have CONFIG_ARCH variables for
each of the three stages. This allows us to have an SOC with any combination of
architectures and thus every stage can be made to run on a completely different
architecture independent of others. Thus, bootblock can have an x86 arch whereas
romstage and ramstage can have arm32 and arm64 arch respectively. These stage
specific CONFIG_ARCH_ variables enable us to select the proper set of toolchain
and compiler flags for every stage.

These options can be considered as either arch or modes eg: x86 running in
different modes or ARM having different arch types (v4, v7, v8). We have got rid
of the original CONFIG_ARCH option completely as every stage can have any
architecture of its own. Thus, almost all the components of coreboot are
identified as being part of one of the three stages (bootblock, romstage or
ramstage). The components which cannot be classified as such e.g. smm, rmodules
can have their own compiler toolset which is for now set to *_i386. Hence, all
special classes are treated in a similar way and the compiler toolset is defined
using create_class_compiler defined in Makefile.

In order to meet these requirements, changes have been made to CC, LD, OBJCOPY
and family to add CC_bootblock, CC_romstage, CC_ramstage and similarly others.
Additionally, CC_x86_32 and CC_armv7 handle all the special classes. All the
toolsets are defined using create_class_compiler.

Few additional macros have been introduced to identify the class to be used at
various points, e.g.: CC_$(class) derives the $(class) part from the name of
the stage being compiled.

We have also got rid of COREBOOT_COMPILER, COREBOOT_ASSEMBLER and COREBOOT_LINKER
as they do not make any sense for coreboot as a whole. All these attributes are
associated with each of the stages.

A more generic implemention could be done with hexdump() in coreboot

44f2fab89a AMD hudson and yangtze boards: Let mainboard declare power button
The power button was declared by hudson's ASL as \_SB.PCI0.PWRB, and
always had the wake source declared as GPE3. This is not the correct
wake source for all boards. On some laptops declaring a wake source is
not needed, as the wake mechanism is handled by the EC.

Move the declaration of the power button to mainboard ASL files, and
scope it as \_SB.PWRB . This also makes the naming consistent with the
examples in the ACPI spec. The wake source for the PWRB of HP Pavilion
M6 1035dx is removed, as it is incorrect.

Not all boards which use the AMD Hudson southbridge have IDE. However,

Address this issue by removing the inclusion of 'ide.asl' from the

of which have IDE.

If future hudosn board will come with IDE, the device can be declared
