fdf907e440 cpu/intel/haswell: Only change the slow ramp rate for ULT CPUs
On my system (Pentium G3258, ASRock H81M-HDS), changing the the slow
ramp rate during `initialize_vr_config()` results in the following
exception, causing the system to hang.

	CPU Index 0 - APIC 0 Unexpected Exception:13 @ 10:7f7a3736 - Halting

	edi: 00000007 esi: 00262626 ebp: 7f7c0fd8 esp: 7f7c0e90

So, only change this setting for Haswell ULT CPUs, as suggested by the

ba8ead817d cpu/intel/haswell: Allow use of TSC for the monotonic timer
When the Haswell-specific monotonic timer is used on an ASRock H81M-HDS
with a Pentium G3258, the following exception is generated, causing the
system to hang.

	CPU Index 0 - APIC 0 Unexpected Exception:13 @ 10:7f7a3736 - Halting
	Code: 0 eflags: 00010006 cr2: 00000000

	edi: 00000007 esi: 00262626 ebp: 7f7c0fd8 esp: 7f7c0e90

The exception occurs when trying to read `MSR_COUNTER_24_MHz`, located
at 0x637. This MSR only exists on Haswell-ULT CPUs.

So, allow boards to use the TSC monotonic timer instead. They can do
this by placing `select TSC_MONOTONIC_TIMER` in the mainboard Kconfig.

d44221f9c8 Move compiler.h to commonlib
Its spreading copies got out of sync. And as it is not a standard header
but used in commonlib code, it belongs into commonlib. While we are at
it, always include it via GCC's `-include` switch.

Some Windows and BSD quirk handling went into the util copies. We always
guard from redefinitions now to prevent further issues.

aade90e68d nb/intel/gm45: Use common code for SMM in TSEG
This makes i82801ix use the common smm southbridge code to set up smm
relocation and smi handler setup. This is needed in this change for the
the smm relocation code relies on some southbridge functions provided
in the common code. Some of the old code is kept for the Q35 qemu
target.

This also caches the TSEG region and therefore increases MTRR usage a
little in some cases.

Currently SMRR msr's are not set on model_1067x and model_6fx since this needs
the MSRR enable bit and lock set in IA32_FEATURE_CONTROL. This will be handled
properly in the subsequent parallel mp init patchset.

Tested on Thinkpad X200: boots and going to and resuming from S3 still
works fine.

7875dbd981 cpu/intel/p4-netburst: skip caching rom on model_fxx
An unidentified combination of speculative reads and branch
predictions inside WRPROT-cacheable memory can cause invalidation of
cachelines and loss of stack on models based on NetBurst
microarchitecture.

Therefore disable WRPROT region entirely for all family F models.

As an extreme example, just changing the location of a constant string
passed to printk() has been witnessed to make a the boot fail early on
in romstage.

cc1e3b64ed Fix freeze during chipset lockdown on Nehalem
Remove locking of PCI device 00:00.0 registers (nehalem/finalize.c)
and remove setting the zeroth bit of the MSR_LT_LOCK_MEMORY = 0x2e7 MSR
register (model_2065x/finalize.c) to fix a frozen boot and S3 resume issue
which became apparent with commit d533b16669.

More detailed, either setting the LSB of the 32 bit register at 0x98
of the PCI device 00:00.0 (in the intel_nehalem_finalize_smm function) or
setting the LSB of the the MSR register MSR_LT_LOCK_MEMORY = 0x2e7 (in the
intel_model_2065x_finalize_smm function) indepentenly causes a freeze
during bootup or a complete session loss on resuming from S3 as described
here: https://mail.coreboot.org/pipermail/coreboot/2018-April/086564.html

It seems like Nehalem CPUs do not have a MSR_LT_LOCK_MEMORY register.
Additionally, the "Intel Core i7-600, i5-500, i5-400 and i3-300 Mobile
Processor Series, Datasheet Volume Two" indicates that registers of the
PCI device 00:00.0 cannot be locked manually. Instead, they can only be
locked by TXT, VT-d, CMD.LOCK.MEMCONFIG, ME_SM_LOCK or D_LCK.
Finally, the addresses and sizes of these registers were partially wrong.

Tested on Lenovo X201i with a Core i3 330M (no AES-NI, no VT-d and no TXT
support compared to the Core i5 and Core i7 processors of a X201).

5fbe788bae model_206ax: Use parallel MP init
This patch adds a few southbridge calls needed for parallel MP init.

Moves the smm_relocate() function to smm/gen1/smi.h, since that is
where this function is defined now.

Tested on Thinkpad X220, shaves of ~30ms on a 2 core, 4 threads CPU.

67031a565b cpu/intel/sandybridge: Put stage cache into TSEG
TSEG is not accessible in ring 0 after it is locked in ramstage, in
contrast with cbmem which remains accessible. Assuming SMM does not
touch the cache this is a good region to cache stages.

The code is mostly copied from src/cpu/intel/haswell.

TESTED on Thinkpad X220: on a cold boot the stage cache gets created
and on S3 the cached ramstage gets properly used.

0a4e0fd913 cpu/intel/speedstep: Fix the PNOT ACPI method
The PNOT method never notifies the CPU to update it's _CST methods due
to reliance on inexisting variable (PDCx).

Add a method in the speedstep ssdt generator to notify all available
CPU nodes and hook this up in this file.

The cpu.asl file is moved to cpu/intel/speedstep/acpi since it now
relies on code generated in the speedstep ssdt generator. CPUs not
using the speedstep code never included this PNOT method so this is
a logical place for this code to be.

47dffa59f3 chromeec: Remove checks for EC in RO
This patch removes checks that ensure EC to be in RO for recovery
boot. We do not need these checks because when recovery is requested
automatically (as opposed to manually), we show 'broken' screen where
users can only reboot the device or request recovery manually.

If recovery is requested, Depthcharge will check whether EC is in RO
or not and recovery switch was pressed or not. If it's a legitimate
manual recovery, EC should be in RO. Thus, we can trust the recovery
button state it reports.

This patch removes all calls to google_chromeec_check_ec_image,
which is called to avoid duplicate memory training when recovery
is requested but EC is in RW.

5a1f9a87cb cpu/x86/mp_init: remove adjust_cpu_apic_entry()
The original purpose of adjust_cpu_apic_entry() was to set
up an APIC map. That map was effectively only used for mapping
*default* APIC id to CPU number in the SMM handler. The normal
AP startup path didn't need this mapping because it was whoever
won the race got the next cpu number. Instead of statically
calculating (and wrong) just initialize the default APIC id
map when the APs come online. Once the APs are online the SMM
handler is loaded and the mapping is utilized.

Populate a memory_info struct with PEI and SPD data,

On Broadwell, this is done by the MRC binary, but the older
Haswell MRC binary doesn't populate the pei_data struct with
all the info needed, so we have to pull it from the SPD.
