dca081b5e6 soc/intel/common/pmc: Avoid unnecessary writes of AFTERG3_EN
pmc_set_power_failure_state() is usually called twice, once upon boot
(with `target_on == true`) and once from SMM when the system is shut
down (with `target_on == false`). Assuming settings didn't change
between these calls, there is only one case where we actually need
to write the register value: when updating the state for the
MAINBOARD_POWER_STATE_PREVIOUS feature.

This suits us well as we want to avoid unnecessary writes so we
don't clobber the value set upon boot from within SMM. Due to
inaccessible option backends, SMM might not know the current
option state.

The assumption above, that the option value didn't change, may not
be true if the user changed the option on purpose. In the future,
one would have to reboot the machine for option changes to take
effect. However, this doesn't seem to make a huge difference: One
already needed a controlled shutdown for the update to take effect
before. A reboot doesn't seem much more expensive.

85c9dda1c4 soc/intel/alderlake/romstage: Refactor soc_memory_init_params function
This patch create separate helper functions to fill-in required
FSP-M UPDs as per IP initialization categories.

This would help to increase the code readability and in future
meaningful addition of FSP-M UPDs is possible rather adding UPDs randomly.

TEST=FSP-M UPD dump shows no change without and with this code change.

8c9a89de99 arch/x86/ioapic: Drop irq_on_fsb as a configurable item
APIC Serial Bus pins were removed with ICH5 already, so a choice
'irq_on_fsb = 0' would not take effect. The related register BOOT_CONFIG
0x3 is also not documented since ICH5.

For emulation/qemu-q35 with ICH9 the choice INTERRUPT_ON_APIC_BUS was
wrong and ignored as BOOT_CONFIG register emulation was never implemented.

For ICH4 and earlier, the choice to use FSB can be made based on the
installed CPU model but this is now just hardwired to match P4 CPUs of
aopen/dxplplusu.

For sb/intel/i82371eb register BOOT_CONFIG 0x3 is also not defined
and the only possible operation mode there is APIC Serial Bus, which
requires no configuration.

3838edeac6 soc/intel/xeon_sp/cpx: Move MSR Locks to CPU init and fix them
Move locking CPU MSRs during CPU init instead of using
CONFIG_PARALLEL_MP_AP_WORK functions.

The AES Lock enable bit caused CPU exception errors as this should not
run on HT siblings. The set_aesni_lock() function takes care of that.

Disable all display related UPDs if IGD is not enabled as FSP
don't need to perform display port initialization while IGD itself
is disabled else assign UPDs based on devicetree config.

to ensure patch integrity.

4bd9187dad ACPI: Refactor use of global and device NVS
After ChromeOS NVS was moved to a separate allocation and the use
of multiple OperationRegions, maintaining the fixed offsets is not
necessary.

Use actual structure size for OperationRegions, but align the
allocations to 8 bytes or sizeof(uint64_t).

34bd6ba979 soc/intel/broadwell/pch: Drop device NVS remainders
Now that device NVS is no longer used as such, stop using it to store
ACPI device settings consumed by the SSDT generator. Instead, provide
the get_acpi_device_state() function to allow saving ACPI device BARs
and activation state from other compilation units. Also, introduce an
enum and a struct to ease handling device state.

Tested on out-of-tree Compal LA-A992P, SerialIO SSDT does not change.

68d8357dab soc/intel/broadwell/pch: Replace ACPI device NVS
The same functionality can be provided through a runtime-generated SSDT.
The remaining parts of device NVS are removed in a follow-up.

Since the SSDTs are only loaded after the DSDT (if loaded at all), using
SSDT-provided objects outside method bodies is not possible: the objects
are not yet in OSPM's ACPI namespace, which causes in ACPI errors. Owing
to this, the operation regions used by the _PS0 and _PS3 methods need to
be moved into the SSDT, as they depend on the SSDT-provided BAR1 values.

Tested on out-of-tree Compal LA-A992P, generated SSDT disassembles with
no errors and contains expected values. Linux does not complain either.

Use the same code from Lynx Point on Broadwell, and adjust as needed.
Also add a config file to ensure the code gets build-tested.

e42ce6bb49 soc/intel/common/block/uart: Fix resources in ACPI mode
In ACPI mode the device cannot be enumerated and thus the payload and
bootloader doesn't know about the active resources.
An ACPI aware OS can use the _CRS to determine the active MMIO window.

Mark the BAR0 as reserved if the device is in ACPI mode to make sure the
BAR is reserved in e820 tables.

f93aa04266 soc/intel/{common,alderlake}: Use generic name "Alderlake Platform"
Since common CPU ID between ADL-P and ADL-M CPU IDs, the patch renames all
ADL-P and ADL-M Silicon CPUID macros and defines generic name
"Alderlake Platform" as macro value. Also, this will avoid log ADL-M  for
ADL-P CPU and vice-versa. Although currently name field of "cpu_table"
points to only "Alderlake Platform, but it is retained asa placeholder in
future difference platforms.

Please refer EDS doc# 619501 for more details.

The macros are renamed as below:
CPUID_ALDERLAKE_P_A0 -> CPUID_ALDERLAKE_A0
CPUID_ALDERLAKE_M_A0 -> CPUID_ALDERLAKE_A1
CPUID_ALDERLAKE_P_B0 -> CPUID_ALDERLAKE_A2

TEST=Verify boot on Brya. After change, relevent coreboot logs appear as
below:

CPU: ID 906a1, Alderlake Platform, ucode: 00000119
CPU: AES supported, TXT supported, VT supported
MCH: device id 4601 (rev 03) is Alderlake-P
PCH: device id 5181 (rev 00) is Alderlake-P SKU

Select `HAVE_INTEL_FSP_REPO` so that the FSP binary from the FSP
repository is used by default. Also, use the FSP headers from the FSP
repository and adjust some UPD names so that coreboot is able to use

Also added new config FSP_TYPE_CLIENT/IOT. Respective mainboard Kconfigs

c175146b15 soc/intel/common: Update CrashLog data length tracking
The CrashLog raw_data_length, previously used to track the length for
the Intel CrashLog decoder, is causing noises in the Linux kernel
for AMD. Hence this update made at the soc level which will enable the
pulling put of the tracking from x86/acpi_bert_storage.c.

fba479267b acpi: rework BERT ACPI table generation logic
Check if the ACPI_BERT Kconfig option is selected and only then try to
generate the BERT table. Also remove the acpi_is_boot_error_src_present
weak function from the ACPI global compilation unit and use the return
value of acpi_soc_get_bert_region to determine if there is a valid BERT
region with logged errors.

aa49608a2b soc/intel/adl: Add SKU specific power limits support
Power limits (PL1 and PL2) depend on the specific SKU of the CPU.
By expanding the SoC chip config power_limits_config member to
an array indexed by ADL_*_POWER_LIMITS_*_CORE macros, the
appropriate power limits are applied. Using this the correct
set of power limits are being selected from the array based on
system agent PCI ID. Based on this, chipset.cb file contains
the set of power limits being used by varieties of ADL boards.
These power limit values are as per document 619501.

 CPU PL1 = 28 Watts

d4db36e672 src/intel/xeon_sp: add hardware error support (HEST)
This patch adds the ACPI hardware error source table (HEST) support.
This involves a few different parts: (1) The ACPI HEST table which is filled
with the appropriate fields (2) Reserved memory which is used by runtime
SW to provide error information. OS will not accept a HEST table with
this memory set to 0.

The ASL code to enable APEI bit will be submitted in a separate patch.

Tested on DeltaLake mainboard with following options enabled
SOC_INTEL_XEON_RAS

After boot to Linux, the following will show in dmesg:
HEST: Table parsing has been initialized

ac2cb42621 soc/intel/tigerlake: Return TBT PowerResource from PR0 and PR3
TBT PowerResource _ON/_OFF methods are currently invoked by _PS0 and
_PS3 respectively. It is defined for ACPI driver to call _ON and _OFF
methods. This change drops the _PS0 and _PS3 call for _ON/_OFF and
returns TBT PowerResource declaration in the _PR0 and _PR3, then ACPI
driver will call the TBT PowerResource _ON and _OFF methods.

TEST=Traced both of TBT _ON and _OFF methods invocation and execution
at run time. Verified TBT's power_state to be D3Cold.

After Thunderbolt firmware is downloaded to IMR, its authentication
validity needs to be checked. This change implements the valid_tbt_auth
function. Thunderbolt DSD and its corresponding IMR_VAID will be
present to kernel only if its authentication is successful.

f6004114ec intelblocks/gpio: Add NAVFWE bit to PAD_CFG_DW0 mask definition
Definition for NAV_FWE BIT was added in commit e6e8b3d

Even if try to set this BIT it was not getting set since PAD_CFG_DW0
mask will make it 0 since this bit was not part of mask.
Adding NAV_FWE to mask will resolve this issue and BIT will be set/unset
as per programming in mainboard.

TEST=Check GPIO register dump and see if BIT is getting set properly.

6d2fbba0ed docs: correct and rewrite documentation regarding n/c / unused pads
Intel PDGs starting from Skylake / Sunrise Point state that, different
from the general recommendation in digital electronics, unconnected
GPIOs defaulting to GPIO mode do explicitly not require termination.

The reason for this is, that these GPIOs have the `GPIORXDIS` bit set,
which effectively disconnects the pad from the internal logic by
disabling the input buffer.

This bit - besides `GPIOTXDIS` - can also be set explicitly by using
the gpio macro `PAD_NC(pad, NONE)`.

In some cases, a pull resistor may be required due to bad board design
or when a vendor sets the RX/TX disable bits together with a pull
resistor and schematics are not available to check if the pad is really
unconnected or just unused. In this case the pull resistor should be
kept.

Pads defaulting to native functions usually don't need special handling.
However, when pads requiring external pull-ups are missing these due to
bad board design, they should be configured with `PAD_NC` to disconnect
them internally.

Rewrite the documentation to reflect these new findings.

Also clarify the comment in soc/intel gpio code accordingly.

929b65add4 soc/intel/cannonlake: Merge soc_memory_init_params() into its caller
soc_memory_init_params() does not only configure memory init parameters.
Despite its name, it also configures many other things. Therefore, merge
it into its caller function platform_fsp_memory_init_params_cb() to
prevent confusions.

Built clevo/l140cu with BUILD_TIMELESS=1. coreboot.rom remains the same.

91b2024bae soc/intel/adl: Allow mainboard to fill CmdMirror and DqDqsRetraining
We need to modify update CmdMirror and LpDdrDqDqsRetraining parameters
for ADLRVP board.
Allowing this parameters to be filled by devicetree will allow
flexibility to update values as per board designs.
Note that both UPDs are applicable for both DDR and Lpddr memory types.

On tgl, we noticed system hang if a shutdown is triggered before fsps.
The dut is unable to shutdown properly due to tcss is stuck before
tcss_init in fsps.

This change enable power button smi on jsl, tgl, adl after fsps.
it can also prevent a shutdown failure due to lack of fsps init on
certain ip.

7b7b33e3a6 soc/intel/{adl,tgl,jsl}: Add smihandler_soc_disable_busmaster
If a power button SMI is triggered between where it is currently
enabled and before FSP-S exits, when the SMI handler disables
bus mastering for all devices, it inadvertently also disables
the PMC's I/O decoding, so the register write to actually go into
S5 does not succeed, and the system hangs.

This can be solved by skipping the PMC when disabling bus
mastering in the SMI handler, for which a callback,
smihandler_soc_disable_busmaster is provided.

59a621abc7 soc/intel/tgl,mb/google/volteer: Add API for Type-C aux bias pads
TGL boards using the Type-C subsystem for USB Type-C ports without a
retimer attached may require a DC bias on the aux lines for certain
modes to work. This patch adds native coreboot support for programming
the IOM to handle this DC bias via a simple devicetree
setting. Previously a UPD was required to tell the FSP which GPIOs were
used for the pullup and pulldown biases, but the API for this UPD was
effectively undocumented.

TEST=Verified on volteer2 that a Type-C flash drive is enumerated
succesfully on all ports. Verified all major power flows (boot, reboot,
powerdown and S0ix/suspend) still work as expected.

e6e8b3d337 soc/intel/alderlake: Add GPIO definition for CPU PCIe vGPIO
Adding GPIO definition for community 3 which is CPU reserved GPIO used
by CPU side PCIe root ports. We did not have this definition since
FSP used to program this GPIOs. Now, instead of FSP, coreboot programs
CPU PCIe GPIOs for CLKSRC and lanes to put GPIOs in native mode.
Thus adding definition of this virtual GPIOs in this CL.

Earlier we did not have definition for BIT27 for PAD_CFG0 register, we
will use this BIT to enable "virtual wire messaging for native function"
If this bit is enabled, whenever change is detected on the pad, virtual
wire message is generated and sent to destination set by native function.
This bit must be set while enabling CPU PCIe root port programming for
ADL and thus defining a new macro to set native pad function along with
NAF_VWE bit to make GPIO programming easier from coreboot.

0f068a600e drivers/intel/fsp2_0: Fix the FSP-T position
The only use case for FSP-T in coreboot is for 'Intel Bootguard'
support at the moment. Bootguard can do verification FSP-T but there
is no verification on whether the FSP found by walkcbfs_asm is the one
actually verified as an IBB by Bootguard. A fixed pointer needs to be
used.

TESTED on OCP/Deltalake, still boots.

The usage of `pci_devfn_t` here is misleading, as these intentionally
store the `PCH_DEVFN_*` macros so they can be used across `smm` and
`ramstage` without requiring the device model. Update to `unsigned int`
instead, as `pci_devfn_t` implies the data is an MMCONF-compatible PCI
devfn offset.

93982c3a6e device: Switch pci_dev_is_wake_source to take pci_devfn_t
With the recent switch to SMM module loader v2, the size of the SMM for
module google/volteer increased to above 64K in size, and thus failed to
install the permanent SMM handler. Turns out, the devicetree is all
pulled into the SMM build because of elog, which calls
`pci_dev_is_wake_source`, and is the only user of `struct device` in
SMM. Changing this function to take a pci_devfn_t instead allows the
linker to remove almost the entire devicetree from SMM (only usage left
is when disabling HECI via SMM).

TEST=Verify loaded program size of `smm.elf` for google/volteer is
almost ~50% smaller.

756f51b662 soc/intel/skylake: Add Kconfig option for LGA1151v2
Provide a SOC_INTEL_SKYLAKE_LGA1151_V2 option to select correct defaults
for the combination of a Union Point PCH with LGA1151v2.

As of the year 2021 it's common for motherboards with Z370, H310C
or B365 PCHs, which are meant to be paired with Coffee Lake CPUs.
Intel provides AmberLakeFspBinPkg to support this combination,
which implements Intel FSP External Architecture Specification v2.1.

Details:

1) Provide SOC_INTEL_SKYLAKE_LGA1151_V2 option that selects
PLATFORM_USES_FSP2_1, SOC_INTEL_COMMON_SKYLAKE_BASE and
SKYLAKE_SOC_PCH_H.

2) Add Amberlake FSP support.

If SOC_INTEL_SKYLAKE_LGA1151_V2 is set, use AbmerLakeFspBinPkg instead
of KabylakeFspBinPkg.

3) Enable Coffee Lake CPUs support.

If SOC_INTEL_SKYLAKE_LGA1151_V2 is set, select

7e7d27bf4b soc/intel/skylake: Add microcodes for Coffee Lake CPUs
The Z370, H310C and B365 PCHs use the same silicon as 200-series
PCHs and they are supported by soc/intel/skylake codebase
(not by soc/intel/cannonlake). Mentioned PCHs are meant to be paired
with Coffee Lake CPUs, so add the corresponding microcodes.

985009ad14 soc/intel/common/block/hda: Use azalia device code
The code is already compiled in on all platforms. Use it as it provides
the same functionality. Note that GCAP is no longer R/WO on these
platforms. However, select `AZALIA_LOCK_DOWN_R_WO_GCAP` just in case.
This will be dropped in a follow-up.

Tested on Prodrive Hermes, still detects and initializes both codecs.

f530e363d1 soc/intel: Rename 200-series PCH device IDs
The code name for these PCHs is Union Point, abbreviated as `UPT`. There
are some 300-series Union Point PCHs (H310C, B365, Z370) which are meant
to be paired with Coffee Lake CPUs instead of Skylake or Kaby Lake CPUs,
and referring to them as `KBP` (Kaby Point, I guess) would be confusing.

Tested with BUILD_TIMELESS=1, HP 280 G2 remains identical.

6e9d8067ca soc/intel/elkhartlake: Update GPIO communities
GPIOs are divided into different communities. Each community
consists of one or more GPIO groups. We need to configure the
groups in coreboot so that they are mapped properly.

GPIO communities should be properly configured in GPIO_CFG and
MISCCFG registers. GPP_* defines in gpio_soc_defs.h are configured
in GPIO_CFG register while the PMC_GPP_* in pmc.h.

GPIO communities in coreboot should match with the kernel gpio
communities also. Kernel reads the ASL file from coreboot. This
patch adds the proper community mapping in ASL code to match with
kernel code. In gpio_soc_defs.c file we are indexing the groups
correctly. In gpio.h file we define all the gpio devices as kernel
populates sysfs with separate gpio device for each community. This
patch is created based on Intel EHL PCH Datasheet with Document
number 614109 and Chapter 21.

Also update GPIO COM3 Port ID and 2 GPIO register values
(HOSTSW_OWN_REG_0 & PAD_CFG_BASE) respectively.

FSP does not set the MSR LT_LOCK_MEMORY when SkipMpInit=1. Therefore,
set LT_LOCK_MEMORY at end of POST, when native MP init is used, to
protect SMM in accordance to Intel BWG.

Test on clevo/cml-u: chipsec says LT_LOCK_MEMORY is locked.

c1c1ba5582 soc/intel/alderlake and mb: Drop PchHdaAudioLink*Enable UPDs from chip.h
FSP uses PchHdaAudioLink{Hda|Dmic|Ssp|Sndw}Enable UPDs to configure
GPIO pads for audio. However, mainboard is expected to perform all
GPIO configration in coreboot and hence these UPDs must be set to
0. There is no need to expose these UPDs in chip.h and provide
mainboard an option to set these in devicetree.

This change drops PchHdaAudioLink{Hda|Dmic|Ssp|Sndw}Enable UPDs from
chip.h and the corresponding devicetree in mainboards. Currently,
shadowmountain already set these UPDs to 0, whereas adlrvp set these
to 1. But all the ADL boards are correctly configuring the GPIO pads
for audio, so this change should not impact audio for any of these
boards.

When using references to a FieldUnit, DeRefOf is not used when storing a
value into the referenced FieldUnit, only when reading its value.

Tested on out-of-tree Compal LA-A992P, Linux 5.11.15-arch1-2 no longer
