This mainboard provides customer hardware reset button. A feature of
this button is that it holds the APL in reset state as long as the reset

98689df18f siemens/mc_apl3: Adjust Legacy IRQ routing for PCI devices
On this mainboard there is a legacy PCI device, which is connected to
the PCIe root port via a PCIe-2-PCI bridge. This device only supports
legacy interrupt routing. For this reason we have to adjust the PIR6
register (0x314c) which is responsible for PCIe device 13h and 14h. This
means that the interrupt routing will also be the same for both PCIe
devices. The bridge is connected to PCIe root port 2 and 3 over two
lanes (Device 13.0 and 13.1).

The following routing is required:
INTA#->PIRQD#, INTB#->PIRQA#, INTC#->PIRQB#, INTD#->PIRQC#

Its spreading copies got out of sync. And as it is not a standard header

Some Windows and BSD quirk handling went into the util copies. We always
guard from redefinitions now to prevent further issues.

d127be102b siemens/mc_apl1: Provide baseboard and variant concepts
Siemens will provide further boards based on Apollo Lake. These differ
only slightly. To avoid copying the complete directory of the reference
board we simply create variants that only contain the differences, like
google/reef does.

To further the ability of multiple variant boards to share code provide
a place to land the split-up changes. This patch provides the tooling
by using a new Kconfig value, VARIANT_DIR, as well as the Make plumbing.
The directory layout with a single variant mc_apl1 (which is also the
baseboard) looks like this:

variants/baseboard - code
variants/baseboard/include/baseboard - headers
variants/mc_apl1 - code
variants/mc_apl1/include/variant - headers

New boards would then be added under their board name within the
'variants' directory.

No split has been done with providing different logic yet. This is
purely an organizational change.

d958300590 siemens/mc_apl1: Add legacy IRQ routing for PCI devices
On this mainboard there are PCI devices, which are connected to the PCIe
root port via a PCIe-2-PCI bridge. One of the devices only supports
legacy interrupt routing. For this reason we have to adjust the PIR6
register (0x314c) which is responsible for PCIe device 13h and 14h. This
means that the interrupt routing will also be the same for both PCIe
devices. The bridge is connected to PCIe root port 4 (Device 14.0).

The following routing is required:
INTA#->PIRQB#, INTB#->PIRQC#, INTC#->PIRQD#, INTD#->PIRQA#

efd0eb35af siemens/mc_apl1: Add delay to wait for legacy devices
There are old legacy onboard devices which are too slow for a coreboot
boot with log level BIOS_ERR. In this case coreboot is so fast that these
devices do not have enough time to become visible on the PCI bus and
this in turn leads to missing resource allocation for this devices. The
most generic way to work around this problem on existing hardware is to
introduce a delay right before the PCI enumeration starts. The needed
delay time depends on the hardware and will therefore be get from
hwinfo.

98adaf5989 mainboards: Don’t select CONSOLE_POST
Currently, it’s impossible for the user to select `NO_POST`, for boards
selecting `CONSOLE_POST` in their config.

```
warning: (BOARD_SPECIFIC_OPTIONS) selects CONSOLE_POST which has unmet
direct dependencies (VENDOR_SIEMENS && BOARD_SIEMENS_MC_BDX1 || !NO_POST)
```

This is currently done for Intel Camelback Mountain and Siemens MC-BDX1.

Selecting the option `CONSOLE_POST` in board specific configuration is
not a good idea, as this should be user configurable over Kconfig, and
also the tree-wide defaults should be the same for these options.

Kconfig is different, as commit 97535558f1 (mainboard/{google,intel}:
Change config option selection) only touch the Intel board.

deed5fbebd fsp_baytrail: Enable graphic init per default
Baytrail SoC has a bug where in some cases the DisplayPort can hang
leading to a non-working display (it just stays black). To avoid this
hang, a patch was introduced in 02/2016
(1c3b1112fa - fsp_baytrail: Fix a possible hanging DisplayPort)
but per default not switched on so that each
mainboard can decide if it wants to use this patch or not.

Recently a new case of this bug was reported by Benoit Sansoni
(benoit.sansoni@kontron.com) and he requested to enable this fix per
default as it costs him a lot of time to find the cause and even the
already available fix in coreboot. To avoid this effort for someone
else in the future we can enable this fix per default as no negative
side effects are known and it is now tested at Siemens and at
Kontron on different mainboards with success.

As the goal is to enable this code permanently the config switch is not
longer needed and is removed.

Since commit 3bfd7cc (drivers/pc80: Rework normal / fallback selector

when they want to switch to normal boot. So change the bits to (h)ex

To clarify their meaning, rename `reboot_bits` to `reboot_counter`. Also
remove all occurences of the obsolete `last_boot` bit that have sneaked
in again since 24391321 (mainboard: Remove last_boot NVRAM option).

95fe8fb1e0 mainboard: Format irq_tables.c
Run the command below to format the files `irq_tables.c` of (mostly AMD)
mainboards correctly with GNU indent 2.2.10.

```
$ git grep -l 'if (sum != pirq->checksum) {' | xargs indent -l
```

Fix up the following two checkpatch.pl errors manually.

```
ERROR: that open brace { should be on the previous line
#1219: FILE: src/mainboard/gigabyte/ga_2761gxdk/irq_tables.c:129:
+			uint8_t reg[8] =
+			    { 0x0A, 0X0B, 0X0, 0X0a, 0X0B, 0X05, 0X0, 0X07 };
```

This is needed, so that follow-up commits, fixing checkpatch.pl errors
and warnings, won’t run into conflicts with the git commit hooks, when
for example, spaces instead of tabs are used for indentation.

5ae61d94e7 Update degree symbol to utf-8 encoding in comments
Almost all of the places where we have the degree symbol '°', it's
encoded as 0xc2 0xb0 (utf-8 encoding). There are a few places where it
is encoded as just a high ascii byte: 0xb0. Editors that support the
high ascii 0xb0 seem to support the utf-8 0xc2 0xb0 encoding as well,
but the opposite does not seem to be true.

Change the high-ascii degree symbols to utf-8 encoding.

1e1c7ac3b4 southbridge/amd/sb600: Update HPET base address with #define
The SB600 code had the base address of the HPET hardcoded throughout.
It looks like the plan was to have it be updated in ACPI if needed,
but this wasn't ever implemented. The variable names being used to
do this update were the same, causing an IASL warning. Because of
this, the operation to update the HPET address actually did nothing.
This was fine, because it didn't actually need to be updated.

- Replace all that code with a #define.
- Add and update some comments in the same area.

f77516cb6d ACPI: Work around IASL warning reading/writing same register
The newer versions of IASL are unhappy when an operator
has the same object as both source and destination.

The warning can be completely disabled with a command
line argument, but in general, I'd really rather not
just disable warnings.

The bits in this register are write 1 to clear, so reading and
writing the same register is what we want to do. Instead, store
it in a temporary register then write it in a second operation.

cf752fe966 fsp_baytrail: Change A, A, A, A IRQ routing to A, A, A, B
Devices that have their interrupt routing set to A, A, A, A don't get
any interrupt values assigned because that series evaluates to 0. The
code that sets the interrupt values checks to make sure a value is set
by verifying that it's not 0. On Bay Trail, these are all
single-function graphics devices, so by changing one of the unused
interrupt lines from A to any other value, it assigns the values
correctly.

This issue did not affect ACPI interrupt routing.

This is just a workaround, and the root issue still needs to be fixed.

The reason for hardcoding the position of the MRC cache was to satisfy
the alignment to the erase size of the flash chip. Hardcoding is no

the MRC cache will have to move to FMAP, but for now, we reduce
fragmentation in CBFS.

Note that soc/intel/common hardcoding of mrc.cache is not removed, as
the mrc cache implementation there does not use CBFS to find the cache
region, and needs a hardcoded address.

0458370bf7 Kconfig: Remove unnecessary and incorrect MRC_CACHE symbols
Because of a misunderstanding of how Kconfig files are parsed, the
OVERRIDE_MRC_CACHE_LOC symbol was added to make sure that the value
was correctly set. This is not needed unless for some reason the
Kconfig parser is suddenly rewritten to parse everything differently.

At some point, the value in the FSP's Kconfig file was updated to
OVERRIDE_CACHE_CACHE_LOC, while the entries in the mainboard
Kconfig files were not updated. This resulted in the default values
not getting set correctly by default on the FSP Bay Trail boards.

This removes the whole bunch of incorrect and unnecessary symbols and
just sets the default for the MRC cache location directly.

899d13d0df cbfs: new API and better program loading
A new CBFS API is introduced to allow making CBFS access
easier for providing multiple CBFS sources. That is achieved
by decoupling the cbfs source from a CBFS file. A CBFS
source is described by a descriptor. It contains the necessary
properties for walking a CBFS to locate a file. The CBFS
file is then decoupled from the CBFS descriptor in that it's
no longer needed to access the contents of the file.

All of this is accomplished using the regions infrastructure
by repsenting CBFS sources and files as region_devices. Because
region_devices can be chained together forming subregions this
allows one to decouple a CBFS source from a file. This also allows
one to provide CBFS files that came from other sources for
payload and/or stage loading.

The program loading takes advantage of those very properties
by allowing multiple sources for locating a program. Because of
this we can reduce the overhead of loading programs because
it's all done in the common code paths. Only locating the
program is per source.

b890a1228d Remove address from GPLv2 headers
As per discussion with lawyers[tm], it's not a good idea to
shorten the license header too much - not for legal reasons
but because there are tools that look for them, and giving
them a standard pattern simplifies things.

However, we got confirmation that we don't have to update
every file ever added to coreboot whenever the FSF gets a
new lease, but can drop the address instead.

util/kconfig is excluded because that's imported code that
we may want to synchronize every now and then.

139e1067b6 kconfig: automatically include mainboards
This change switches all mainboard vendors and mainboards
to be autoincluded by Kconfig, rather than having to be mentioned

This means, vendor and mainboard directories are becoming more
"drop in", e.g. be placed in the coreboot directory hierarchy

The long term plan is to enable out of tree mainboards / components
to be built with a given coreboot version (given that the API did

    Author: Patrick Georgi <patrick.georgi@secunet.com>
    Date:   Tue Apr 9 15:41:23 2013 +0200

        siemens/sitemp_g1p1: Make ACPI report the right mmconf region

        ACPI reported the entire space between top-of-memory and some
        (relatively) arbitrary limit as useful for MMIO. Unfortunately
        the HyperTransport configuration disagreed. Make them match up.

        Other boards are not affected since they don't report any region

24d1d4b472 x86: Unify arch/io.h and arch/romcc_io.h
Here's the great news: From now on you don't have to worry about
hitting the right io.h include anymore. Just forget about romcc_io.h
and use io.h instead. This cleanup has a number of advantages, like
you don't have to guard device/ includes for SMM and pre RAM
anymore. This allows to get rid of a number of ifdefs and will
generally make the code more readable and understandable.

Potentially in the future some of the code in the io.h __PRE_RAM__
path should move to device.h or other device/ includes instead,
but that's another incremental change.

    $ cd src/mainboard

`src/mainboard/digitallogic/msm586seg/mainboard.c` and
`src/mainboard/technologic/ts5300/mainboard.c` had to be adapted
manually as no comma was used separating the struct members.

And with the following statement, gnomon is even more likable!

    My pleasure entirely. Good luck with coreboot; I'm a big fan of the project.

bbc880eee7 amdk8/amdfam10: Use CAR_GLOBAL for sysinfo
This gets rid of the somewhat unstructured placement of AMD's
sysinfo structure in CAR.
We used to carve out some CAR space using a Kconfig variable,
and then put sysinfo there manually (by "virtue" of pointer magic).

Now it's a variable with the CAR_GLOBAL qualifier, and build
system magic.

For this, the following steps were done (but must happen together
since the intermediates won't build):
- Add new CAR_GLOBAL sysinfo_car
- point all sysinfo pointers to sysinfo_car instead of GLOBAL_VAR
- remove DCACHE_RAM_GLOBAL_VAR_SIZE
  - from CAR setup (no need to reserve the space)
  - commented out code (that was commented out for years)
  - only copy sizeof(sysinfo) into RAM after ram init, where
    before it copied the whole GLOBAL_VAR area.
  - from Kconfig

e135ac5a7e Remove AMD special case for LAPIC based udelay()
- Optionally override FSB clock detection in generic
  LAPIC code with constant value.
- Override on AMD Model fxx, 10xxx, agesa CPUs with 200MHz
- compile LAPIC code for romstage, too
- Remove #include ".../apic_timer.c" in AMD based mainboards
- Remove custom udelay implementation from intel northbridges' romstages

Future work:
- remove the compile time special case
  (requires some cpuid based switching)
- drop northbridge udelay implementations (i945, i5000) if
  not required anymore (eg. can SMM use the LAPIC timer?)

199b09cb7a x86 realmode: Use x86emu register file + defines
By using the (global) register file as defined by x86emu,
we can use the same register access for YABEL and realmode

0d8267464d siemens/sitemp_g1p1: Drop copy of cmos checksum calculation
This code used a special case for checksum calculation to
prevent the century byte from messing things up, since
writes "sometimes" didn't happen.

That should be stable now, so the special case isn't necessary.
Downside: On century rollovers (ie. 1999-12-31, 2099-12-31)
CMOS will be reset to the defaults.

- drop CONFIG_HAVE_BUS_CONFIG and add get_bus_conf.c if it

- drop duplicate ACPI_SSDTX_NUM from mainboard Kconfig
  if it only defines the defaul value of 0
- Add mptable.c, fadt.c, reset.c and ssdtX.asl when they
  exist, not based on some Kconfig magic
