c28984d9ea spi: Clean up SPI flash driver interface
RW flag was added to spi_slave structure to get around a requirement on
some AMD flash controllers that need to group together all spi volatile
operations (write/erase). This rw flag is not a property or attribute of
the SPI slave or controller. Thus, instead of saving it in spi_slave
structure, clean up the SPI flash driver interface. This allows
chipsets/mainboards (that require volatile operations to be grouped) to
indicate beginning and end of such grouped operations.

New user APIs are added to allow users to perform probe, read, write,
erase, volatile group begin and end operations. Callbacks defined in
spi_flash structure are expected to be used only by the SPI flash
driver. Any chipset that requires grouping of volatile operations can
select the newly added Kconfig option SPI_FLASH_HAS_VOLATILE_GROUP and
define callbacks for chipset_volatile_group_{begin,end}.

spi_claim_bus/spi_release_bus calls have been removed from the SPI flash
chip drivers which end up calling do_spi_flash_cmd since it already has
required calls for claiming and releasing SPI bus before performing a
read/write operation.

c6ec8dd1cb fsp2_0: implement stage cache for silicon init
Stage cache will save ~20ms on S3 resume for apollolake platforms.
Implementing the cache in ramstage to save silicon init and reload
it on resume. This patch adds passing S3 status to silicon init in
order to verify that the wake is from S3 and not for some other
reason. This patch also includes changes needed for quark and
skylake platforms that require fsp 2.0.

2b3e0cdfc4 soc/intel/common/lpss_i2c: configure buses by rise/fall times
The default register count calculations are leading to higher
frequencies than expected. Provide an alternative method for
calculating the register counts by utilizing the rise and
fall times of the bus. If the rise time is supplied the
rise/fall time values are used, but the register overrides
take precedence over the rise/fall time calculation.  This
allows platforms to choose whichever method works the best.

4668ba77ea soc/intel/common/lpss_i2c: simplify API and use common config structure
The apollolake and skylake had duplicate stanzas of code for
initializing the i2c buses. Additionally, they also had very
similar structures for providing settings for the i2c speed
control. Introduce a new struct lpss_i2c_bus_config and
utilize it in both apollolake and skylake thereby removing
the need for SoC-specific structres. The new structure is
used for initializing a bus fully as the lpss i2c API is
simplified in that lpss_i2c_init() is only required to be
called. The struct lpss_i2c_bus_config structure is passed
in for both initializing and filling in the SSDT information.
The formerly exposed functions are made static to reduce the
external API exposure.

ed14a4e0df soc/intel/skylake: move i2c voltage config to own variable
In preparation of merging the lpss i2c config structures on

own field. It makes refactoring things easier, and then there's

d8bb69a451 soc/intel/skylake: fix memory access beyond array bounds
chip.h has a config array PcieRpClkReqNumber which corresponds
to a FSP UPD parameter, the size is currently set to 20.
However the size of PcieRpClkReqNumber UPD in FSP2.0 is 24,
so memcpy (config buffer to UPD buffer) in chip_fsp20.c will read
beyond the bounds of config array.
Hence set the size of PcieRpClkReqNumber array based on the FSP in use.

bc41ddd44e soc/intel/skylake: Add _ACx methods for TSR0 sensor for fan control
This patch updates below info,
[1] Delete the DPTF_CPU_ACTIVE_AC* values because these are not
being used. Hence, removing unnecessary defines.
[2] Add new DPTF_TSR0_ACTIVE_AC* temperature trip points for TSR0
external thermal sensor. These trip points are being used by _ACx
methods to control the fan speed on Skylake-U fan based Lars and
Kunimitsu platforms.
[3] Follow up patches are using DPTF_CPU_ACTIVE_AC* temperature trip
points in board specific acpi/dptf.asl (for lars, kunimitsu, etc) to
control the fan speed as per the CPU temperature trip points.
[4] Newly added _ACx methods for thermal sensor TSR0 in this patch
has nothing to do with DPTF_CPU_ACTIVE_AC*.

We can control fan speed using various different thermal sensors.
In this patch, we have added new _ACx methods for TSR0 thermal sensor.
We run the fan at different speeds to cool down the system at different
TSR0 temperatures.

Similarly, we considered CPU sensor temperature values and ran the fan
at different speeds to cool down the system.

2f3736e7ac soc/intel/{sky,apollo}lake: Wait until GPE is clear when reading
When reading+clearing a GPE for use as an interrupt we need to
re-read the status register and keep setting the clear bit until
it actually reads back clear.  Also add a 1ms timeout in case the
status never clears.

This is needed if a device sends a longer interrupt pulse and it
is still asserted when the "ISR" goes to clear the status.

TEST=test cr50 TPM with 20us pulse to ensure it can successfully
communicate with the TPM and does not get confused due to seeing
interrupts that it should not.

cb8849b686 soc/intel/skylake: Fix SATA booting to OS issue
SATA device remains unrecognized if connected at Port 2.

Port control and Status register (PCS) is by default set by
hardware to the disabled state as a result of an initial
power on reset. OS read PCS register during boot causes
disabling of SATA ports and can't detect any devices.

64606cea93 soc/intel/skylake: don't hardcode GPE0 standard reg
While using '3' is fine for the standard gpe0 for skylake, I want
to make sure anyone that copies this code doesn't tweak GPE0_REG_MAX
without the hard coded index. If that does happen now things will
still work, but it may just not match the hardware proper.

c806e4cc59 skylake: Add GPIO macro for configuring inverted APIC input
Add a GPIO macro that allows a pin to be routed to the APIC with
the input inverted.  This allows a normal interrupt to get used as
a GPE during firmware and still be used as a perhiperal interrupt
in the kernel.

Add the necessary infrastructure to support eSPI SMI events,
and a mainboard handler to pass control to the EC.

f0ba2259b8 skylake: Prepare GPE for use in bootblock
Export the pmc_gpe_init() function from pmc.c to pmutil.c
so it can be used in bootblock, and then call it from there
to initialize any GPEs for use in firmware.

95f9020de1 skylake: Fix wake source reporting with Deep S3
The Deep S3 state will lose a lot of register contents that we
used to rely on for determining wake source.

In order to make use of this override the enable bit for wake
sources that are enabled for Deep S3 in devicetree.cb.

3bfe3404df intel/skylake: Add support to enable wake-on-usb attach/detach
Three things are required to enable wake-on-usb:
1. 5V to USB ports should be enabled in S3.
2. ASL file needs to have appropriate wake bit set.
3. XHCI controller should have the wake on attach/detach bit set for the
corresponding port in PORTSCN register.

Only part missing was #3.

This CL adds support to allow mainboard to define a bitmap in
devicetree corresponding to the ports that it wants to enable
wake-on-usb feature. Based on the bitmap, wake on attach/detach bits in
PORTSCN would be set by xhci.asl for the appropriate ports.

9a20551b7e soc/intel/skylake: Handle platform global reset
In FSP1.1 all the platform resets including global was handled
on its own without any intervention from coreboot.
In FSP2.0, any reset required will be notified to coreboot
and it is expected that coreboot will perform platform reset.

Hence, implement platform global reset hooks in coreboot. If Intel
ME is in non ERROR state then MEI message will able to perform
global reset else force global reset by writing 0x6 or 0xE to
0xCF9 port with PCH ETR3 register bit [20] set.

ff8bf410d9 soc/intel/skylake: Implement Global Reset MEI message
As per ME BWG, there are two mechanism to generate a Global
Reset (resets both host and Intel ME), one is through CF9h
IO write of 6h or Eh with "CF9h Global Reset" (CF9GR) bit set,
PMC PCI offset ACh[20]. Another is to issue the Global Reset
MEI message. Because any attempts to cause global reset without
synchronizing the two sides might cause unwanted side effects,
such as unwritten flash data that will get destroyed if the
host were to cause a global reset without informing Intel ME
firmware, the recommended method is to send a Global Reset MEI
message when the following conditions are met:

The PCH chipset firmware just needs to complete the Intel ME
Interface #1 initialization and check the Intel ME HFSTS state
if Intel ME is not in ERROR state and is accepting MEI commands
then firmware should be able to use Global Reset MEI message to
trigger global reset.

Furthermore, if Intel ME is in ERROR state, BIOS can use I/O 0xCF9
write of 0x06 or 0x0E command with PCH ETR3 register bit [20]
to perform the global reset.

1222a73205 skylake: Add initial FSP2.0 support
Add Initial pieces of code to support fsp2.0 in skylake keeping
the fsp1.1 flow intact.

The soc/romstage.h and soc/ramstage.h have a reference to
fsp driver includes, so split these header files for
each version of FSP driver.

Add the below files,
car_stage.S:
	Add romstage entry point (car_stage_entry).
	This calls into romstage_fsp20.c and aslo handles
	the car teardown.
romstage_fsp20.c:
	Call fsp_memory_init() and also has the callback
	for filling memory init parameters.

Also add monotonic_timer.c to verstage.

With this patchset and relevant change in kunimitsu mainboard,
we are able to boot to romstage.

67d487e687 soc/intel/skylake: make SPI support early stages
Using malloc() in SPI code is unnecessary as there's only
one SPI device that the SoC support code handles: boot
device. Therefore, use CAR to for the storage to work around
the current limiations of the SPI API which expects one to
return pointers to objects that are writable. Additionally,
include the SPI support code as well as its dependencies in
all the stages.

e8e118dd32 Kconfig: introduce writable boot device notion
Indicate to the build system that a platform provides support
for a writable boot device. The following will provide the
necessary support:

COMMON_CBFS_SPI_WRAPPER users
soc/intel/apollolake
soc/intel/baytrail
soc/intel/braswell
soc/intel/broadwell
soc/intel/skylake

The SPI_FLASH option is auto-selected if the platform provides
write supoprt for the boot device and SPI flash is the boot
device.

Other platforms may provide similar support, but they do that
in a device specific manner such as selecting SPI_FLASH
explicitly. This provides clearance against build failures
where chipsets don't provide SPI API implementations even
though the platform may use a SPI flash to boot.

3ad63565a5 soc/intel/skylake: Correct Cache as ram size
DCACHE_RAM_SIZE_TOTAL is set to 0x40000 and is being used to
set up CAR. Whereas DCACHE_RAM_SIZE which is set to 0x10000
is used to calculate the _car_region_end in car.ld. If the FSP CAR
requirement is greater than or even close to DCACHE_RAM_SIZE then,
the CAR region for FSP will be determined to be below the overall
CAR region boundary i.e, out of CAR memory range.

This is working with FSP 1.1 because we provide the FspCarSize
and FspCarBase explicitly in a UPD. Hence, FSP is still able to
use the upper region of CAR memory for its purpose.
However, it will be a problem in case of FSP2.0 where FSP usable CAR
is calculated using _car_region_end.

So, Remove the the use of DCACHE_RAM_SIZE_TOTAL and set
DCACHE_RAM_SIZE to correct value i.e, 0x40000(256KB)

cf73c1317d skylake: Do FspTempRamInit only for FSP1.1 & tidy up PCH early init
Prepare Skylake for FSP2.0 support.

We do not use FSP-T in FSP2.0 driver, hence guard the
FspTempRamInit call under a switch.

In addition to the current early PCH configuration
program few more register, so all in all we do the following,
* Program and enable ACPI Base.
* Program and enable PWRM Base.
* Program TCO Base.
* Program Interrupt configuration registers.
* Program LPC IO decode range.
* Program SMBUS Base address and enable it.
* Enable upper 128 bytes of CMOS.
And split the above programming into into smaller functions.

Also, as part of bootblock_pch_early_init we enable decoding
for HPET range. This is needed for FspMemoryInit to store and
retrieve a global data pointer.

And also move P2SB related definitions to a new header file.

Program MCHBAR, DMIBAR, EPBAR, EDRAMBAR and GDXCBAR.
Also program the PAM registers. The system agent was being
programmed in romstage during pre-console initialization, after
moving to C_ENVIRONMENT bootblock this was missing, restoring
the same.

a7b97510ae soc/intel/skylake: Clean up SoC ASL code.
List of changes done here in this patch

1. Remove CARD definition from EMMC and SD Card Controller in scs.asl
since _RMV method does not get evaluated while setting up removable
attribute in sysfs in kernel.
"cat /sys/block/mmcblk1/removable" this command always returns 0.

This CARD Device includes _ADR which follows SDIO Bus format. But,
SD/EMMC sits on PCI Bus.
Hence this CARD Device specific _ADR code is also not needed.

2. Remove Base Address for ACPI debug output memory buffer in
systemagent.asl as it is not getting used throughout the code.

b0f81518b5 chromeos mainboards: remove chromeos.asl
Use the ACPI generator for creating the Chrome OS gpio
package. Each mainboard has its own list of Chrome OS
gpios that are fed into a helper to generate the ACPI
external OIPG package.  Additionally, the common
chromeos.asl is now conditionally included based on
CONFIG_CHROMEOS.

ce37e47f46 skylake: fix VSDIO is at 0.8V when SDCard is not inserted
1. Enable SoC SD_CMD/D* signals pull-down of 20k when SD-card
   is removed. When SD-card is disconnected, the pull-down is
   disabled.
2. Provide path for weak leakage from buffers of SD_CMD/D* signal
   to be grounded. Thus dropping voltage on the SD_CMD/D* signals to ~0V.

FSP temp ram init was getting called earlier from ROMCC bootblock.
Now with C entry boot block, it is needed to locate FSP header and

ffc9990ece acpi: Change device properties to work as a tree
There is a second ACPI _DSD document from the UEFI Forum that details
how _DSD style tables can be nested, creating a tree of similarly
formatted tables.  This document is linked from acpi_device.h.

In order to support this the device property interface needs to be
more flexible and build up a tree of properties to write all entries
at once instead of writing each entry as it is generated.

In the end this is a more flexible solution that can support drivers
that need child tables like the DA7219 codec, while only requiring
minor changes to the existing drivers that use the device property
interface.

This was tested on reef (apollolake) and chell (skylake) boards to
ensure that there was no change in the generated SSDT AML.

222381e390 skylake: Generate ACPI timing values for I2C devices
Have the Skylake SOC generate ACPI timing values for the enabled I2C
controllers instead of passing it in the DSDT with static timings.

The timing values are generated from the controller clock speed and
are more accurate than the hardcoded values that were in the ASL which
were originally copied from Broadwell where the controller is running
at a different clock speed...

Additionally it is now possible for a board to override the values
using devicetree.cb.  If zero is passed in for SCL HCNT or LCNT then
the kernel will generate its own timing using the same forumla, but if
the SDA hold time value is zero the kernel will NOT generate a correct
value and the SDA hold time may be incorrect.

This was tested on the Chell platform to ensure all the I2C devices on
the board are still operational with these new timing values.

4001f244ad skylake: Support common LPSS I2C driver
Support the common Intel LPSS I2C driver for the 6 I2C bus controllers
that are present on the Skylake-LP PCH with a 120 mHz clock.  The
required lpss_i2c_base_address() method is implemented separately for
verstage/romstage and ramstage environments.

This provides methods to convert to and from "struct device" and the
I2C controller bus number for that device.  These are used to provide
support for the "I2C Bus Operations" that are present in the coreboot
devicetree.

To support the I2C controller before ramstage an early init function
is provided to do minimal initializaiton of the PCI device and assign
a temporary base address for use before memory.  The final base
address is assigned during device enumeration and used during ramstage.

Because it is usually not necessary to enable I2C controllers before
ramstage a config register for the devicetree is provided to perform
early initialization of this controller.  In addition the bus speed
can be set in the devicetree and that speed will be applied when the
device is initialized.  If not provided the default speed is set to
I2C_SPEED_FAST.

This was tested with the google/chell mainboard by reading and writing
from the trackpad and codec devices during both verstage and ramstage.

structure that is equivalent, similar to how USB ports are configured.

This is to make room for additional I2C configuration options like

7f3156dad6 skylake: gpio: Add support for setting 1.8V tolerant
Add the voltage tolerance GPIO attribute for configuring I2C/I2S buses
that are at 1.8V.  This is currently done by passing in a value to FSP
but it is needed earlier than FSP if the I2C bus is used in verstage.

This does not remove the need for the FSP input parameter, that is
still required so FSP doesn't disable what has been set in coreboot.
The mainboards that are affected are updated in this commit.

This was tested by exercising I2C transactions to the 1.8V codec while
in verstage on the google/chell mainboard.

b25a45ca46 skylake: Add SD card device to configure card detect GPIO
Add a PCI driver for the skylake SD card device and have it generate
an entry in the SSDT for the card detect GPIO if it is provided by the
mainboard in devicetree.

This sets up a card detect GPIO configuration that will trigger an
interrupt on both edges with a 100ms debounce timeout and can wake the
SD controller from D3 state.

The GpioInt() entry is bound to the "cd-gpio" device property which will
be consumed by the kernel driver.

The resulting ACPI output in the SSDT will be combined with the SDXC
device declaration in the DSDT.

026003e621 skylake: Add Audio DSP device
Add the Audio DSP device for skylake as a PCI driver with a static
scan_bus handler so generic devices can be declared under it.

This is for devices like the Maxim 98357A which is connected on the
I2S bus for data but has no control channel bus and instead just has
a GPIO for channel selection and power down control and needs to
describe that GPIO connection to the OS via ACPI.

0d8bb7427b skylake: Add I2C devices
Add the I2C devices to skylake with the scan_bus handler for SMBUS
devices so that I2C-based devices can be declared in devicetree.cb
and get initialized properly during ramstage.

This does not yet provide the I2C driver, but it allows for devices
that are declared in devicetree.cb to provide ACPI tables to the OS.

66bd65d0f7 skylake: Add handler for finding ACPI path for GPIO
Add a handler for the Intel Skylake SOC to return the ACPI path for
GPIOs.  Since all GPIOs are handled by the same controller they all
have the same ACPI path and this is a simple handler that just returns
a pointer to the GPIO device that is defined in the DSDT.

2f6fb9f5f9 skylake: Add ACPI device name handler
Add a global ACPI device name handler for the Skylake SOC that will
translate skylake device paths into an ACPI path that matches the
device objects delcared in the DSDT at soc/intel/skylake/acpi/*.

The skylake implementation uses a global acpi_name handler for the
SOC and it is not necessary to add a function to every device.

This function is used by device drivers calling acpi_device_name()
and acpi_device_path() to generate ACPI AML in the SSDT.

6ec72c9b4f drivers/uart: Use uart_platform_refclk for all UART models
Allow the platform to override the input clock for the UART by
implementing the routine uart_platform_refclk and setting the Kconfig
value UART_OVERRIDE_REFCLK.  Provide a default uart_platform_refclk
routine which is disabled when UART_OVERRIDE_REFCLK is selected.  This
works around ROMCC not supporting weak routines.

Testing on Galileo:
*  Edit the src/mainboard/intel/galileo/Makefile.inc file:
   *  Add "select ADD_FSP_PDAT_FILE"
   *  Add "select ADD_FSP_RAW_BIN"
   *  Add "select ADD_RMU_FILE"
*  Place the FSP.bin file in the location specified by CONFIG_FSP_FILE
*  Place the pdat.bin files in the location specified by
   CONFIG_FSP_PDAT_FILE
*  Place the rmu.bin file in the location specified by CONFIG_RMU_FILE
*  Build EDK2 CorebootPayloadPkg/CorebootPayloadPkgIa32.dsc to generate
   UEFIPAYLOAD.fd
*  Testing is successful when CorebootPayloadPkg is able to properly
   initialize the serial port without using built-in values.

6366d92803 {cpu,soc}/intel: remove unused smm_init() function
There used to be a need for an empty smm_init() function
because initialize_cpus() called it even though nothing
called initialize_cpus(). However, garbage collection at
link time is implemented so there's no reason to provide an
empty function to satisfy a symbol that is completely culled
during link. Remove it.

Unconditionally provide the backup default SMM area API. There's no
reason to guard the symbols behind anything since linker garbage
collection is implemented. A board or chipset is free to use the

fe4d62708a soc/intel/skylake: add option to statically clock gate 8254 timer
In order to save more power by shutting down clocks add the
ability to optionally clock gate the 8254 programmable interrupt
timer.  When doing this the platforms lose their "PC"-ness which
certain payloads and OSes rely on such as SeaBIOS.

b7e69a2e56 Skylake: Support Intel Speed Shift Technology based on config
Intel Speed Shift Technology is a new mechanism that replaces
Legacy P-state. ISST allows OS hints about energy/performance
preference. H/W performs the actual P-state control (autonomous)

1. Optimization frequency seclection for low residency workloads,
no longer a static knee point.
2. Optimized frequency selection for best energy to performance
trade offs.
3. Kick down frequency (from idle) fpr best responsiveness while
taking energy consumption init account.

Coreboot's responsiblity is to configure MSR 0x1AA ISST_EN bits
which will reflect in CPUID.06h:EAX[Bit 7] that driver checkes
and enable HWP accordingly.

efcddd9717 skylake: Increase IGD stolen size to 64MB
The FBC hardware for skylake does not have access to the bios_reserved
range so it always assumes 8MB is used and so the kernel will
therefore need to avoid using the last 8MB of the stolen window.
With the default stolen size of 32MB(-8MB) there is not enough space
for FBC to work with a high resolution panel.

Once we lock down the SPI BAR we need to tell SMM to re-init its
SPI driver or it will be unable to write ELOG events via SMI.

This SMI is also sent at the end of depthcharge so there was just
a window where SMI events could get lost.

5f0cd58e0e skylake: Check for power failure when WAK_STS is not set
The PCH does not set PM1_STS[WAK_STS] bit when waking from a
G3 state, which is triggered by hibernate now on chell when we
do a PMIC shutdown.  This means the checks for S5 wake are not
done and instead it is logged as a wake from S0.

8c09377dea timestamp: Remove HAS_PRECBMEM_TIMESTAMP_REGION Kconfig
This patch generalizes the approach previously used for ARM32
TTB_SUBTABLES to "auto-detect" whether a certain region was defined in
memlayout.ld. This allows us to get rid of the explicit Kconfig for the
TIMESTAMP region, reducing configuration redundancy and avoiding
confusion when setting up future boards.

(Removing armv4/bootblock_simple.c because it references this Kconfig
and it is a dead file that I just forgot to remove in CL:12076.)

59ff3400b0 Kconfig: Move defaults for CBFS_SIZE
We want the question for CBFS size to be next to the rom size in the
mainboard directory, but that doesn't seem to work for how people
want to set the defaults.  Instead of having the list of exceptions
to the size, just set the defaults at the end of kconfig.

- Move the defaults for chipsets not setting HAVE_INTEL_FIRMWARE into
the chipset Kconfigs (gm45, nehalem, sandybridge, x4x)
- Override the default for HAVE_INTEL_FIRMWARE on skylake.
- Move the HAVE_INTEL_FIRMWARE default setting into the firmware
Kconfig file
- Move the location of the default CBFS_SIZE=ROM_SIZE to the end of
the top level kconfig file, while leaving the question where it is.

Test=rebuild Kconfig files before and after the change, verify that
they are how they were intended to be.

Note: the Skylake boards actually changed value, because they were
picking up the 0x100000 from HAVE_INTEL_FIRMWARE instead of the
0x200000 desired.  This was due to the SOC_INTEL_SKYLAKE being after
the HAVE_INTEL_FIRMWARE default.  Affected boards were:
Google chell, glados, & lars and Intel kunimitsu.

16ff85971f nhlt: add api to override oem_id and oem_table_id of acpi_header_t
This patch added nhlt_soc_serialize_oem_overrides and
nhlt_serilalize_oem_overrides to be able to override oem_id and
oem_table_id.board file can pass specific string by calling
nhlt_soc_serialize_oem_overrides

kernel use these two fields to construct a topology binary name
if the designate file is not found a default dfw_sst.bin will be used
it is optional.

3cbf8d955f chromeos: Remove CONFIG_VBNV_SIZE variable
The VBNV region size is determined by vboot and is not really
configurable.  Only the CMOS implementation defined this config
variable so switch it to use VBNV_BLOCK_SIZE defined by vboot
in vbnv_layout.h instead.

This requires updating the broadwell/skylake cmos reset functions
to use the right constant.

6c1bf27dae intel/skylake: disable ACPI PM Timer to enable XTAL OSC shutdown
Keeping ACPI PM timer alive prevents XTAL OSC shutdown in S0ix
which has a power impact.

Based on a DT variable, this patch disables the ACPI PM timer
late in the boot sequence - disabling earlier will lead to a hang
since the FSP boot flow needs this timer. This also hides the ACPI PM
timer from the OS by removing from FADT table. Once the ACPI PM timer
is disabled, TCO gets switched off as well.

50c3ba24d4 intel/skylake: unconditionally set SPI controller BAR
The setting of the SPI controller BAR was conditional
on the nominal frequency being set. Therefore, that doesn't
mean the SPI BAR is set on all boots. Move the setting of
the BAR in the southbridge_bootblock_init() which is called
prioer to cpu_bootblock_init().

cbc3c378dc intel/skylake: implement vboot_platform_prepare_reboot()
In order to not reboot loop in the face of failed vboot verification
on resume set the PM1 control register to indicate S5. After the
subsequent cold reset the PM1 control register will indicate S5
as it should.

To allow skylake platforms to run with verified memory init
code the chipset needs to implement vboot_platform_is_resuming()
so that the vboot code can make proper decisions.

fbdc719414 intel/skylake: Implement native Cache-as-RAM (CAR)
Now coreboot should do BIOS CAR setup along with NEM
mode setup.

This patch also provides a mechanism to use 16MB code caching
benefit although LLC still limited to 1M/1.5M based
on SOC LLC limit.
Here with unlimited cache line gets replaced. Now we could use
unlimited cache size along with well defined data size

5535cead09 intel/skylake: Disable SaGv in recovery mode
This patch disables the SaGv feature in recovery mode. Since the memory
training happens at both low and high frequency points when SaGv is
enabled, recovery mode boot time increases by 5 seconds. To reduce this
5 second increase, the SaGv feature is disabled in recovery mode.

The value "0" here means SaGv disable.
Following is the table for same.

0=Disabled (SaGv disabled)
1=FixedLow (Fixed to low frequency)
2=FixedHigh (Fixed to High frequency)
3=Enabled (SaGv Enabled. Dynamically changes)

df21440d68 intel/skylake: provide default VR configuration
FSP 1.8.0 will do nothing with the VR settings if VrConfigEnable is
non-zero. That behavior is not desired because it's not clear what
the behavior will be for various processor SKUs. Instead provide
default values for the VR config. Note that PSI3 and PSI4 are not
enabled for those defaults.

7846e34c02 intel/skylake: disable heci1 if psf is unlocked
This patch adds support for disabling the heci1 device
at the end of boot sequence. Prior to this, FSP would have
sent the end of post message to ME and initiated the d0i3 bit.

This uses the Psf unlock policy and the p2sb device to disable
the heci1 device, then lock the configuration and hide the device.

df13c31ed6 intel/skylake: During RO mode after FSP reset CB lose original state
CB used to clear recovery status towards romstage end after FSP
memory init. Later inside FSP silicon init due to HSIO CRC mismatch
it will request for an additional reset.On next boot system resume
in dev mode rather than recovery because lost its original state
due to FSP silicon init reset.

Hence an additional 1 reset require to identify original state.
With this patch, we will get future platform reset info during romstage
and restore back recovery request flag so, in next boot CB can maintain
its original status and avoid 1 extra reboot.

19d9fe9ebc intel/skylake: Init variable so GCC knows it's set
Even though the data32 variable was getting written by
pch_pcr_read(), GCC still flagged it as being used while
uninitialized and failed the build.

Note that pch_pcr_read() may only set 1 or 2 bytes of data32 in the
successful path, depending on the size of the read.

ed8a723f42 intel/skylake: add nhlt support
The use of a NHLT table is required to make audio work
on the skylake SoCs employing the internal DSP. The table
describes the audo endpoints (render vs capture) along with
their supported formats. These formats are not only dependent
on the audio peripheral but also hardware interfaces. As such
each format has an associated blob of DSP settings to make
the peripheral work. Lastly, each of these settings are provided
by Intel and need to be generated for each device's hardware
connection plus mode/format it supports. This patch does not
include the dsp setting blobs.

The current supported connections:
- digital mic array 2 channel
- digital mic array 4 channel
- Maxim 98357 amplifier
- ADI ssm4567
- NAU88L25 headset codec

490006bf7d intel/skylake: Work around ROMCC optimization bug
On Skylake systems, the bootblock fails to compile with the following
error message:

bootblock_simple.c:6.1:
0x13930e0 copy       Internal compiler error: non dominated rhs use point
0x13a3f70?
Aborted (core dumped)

The option -fno-simplify-phi works around the issue, but will cause the
code to use more registers, hence we also need to enable -mcpu=p4 (see
intel/truxton mainboard for another example of where this has been done
in the past)

CPU_MICROCODE_IN_CBFS was renamed to SUPPORT_CPU_UCODE_IN_CBFS in commit
66e0c4c8 (cpu: Rename CPU_MICROCODE_IN_CBFS to SUPPORT_CPU_UCODE_IN_CBFS)
Both CPU_MICROCODE_IN_CBFS and SUPPORT_CPU_UCODE_IN_CBFS were present,
so just remove CPU_MICROCODE_IN_CBFS.

SMM_MODULES was removed in
commit 44cbe10f (smm: Merge configs SMM_MODULES and SMM_TSEG)

685ab2a2f2 intel/skylake: ensure the RTC time is set
In 2014 or so the RTC code was changed to assume the ALTCENTRY
register (0x32) as always being utilized for creating an rtc_time.
However, one needs to ensure it's set at least once otherwise
the year field in rtc_time is not sane.

In practice this doesn't matter unless somone wants to use the
full year value. cmos_init() should do the same thing in the
rtc fail case, but the machine I had never had that set correctly.

This patch adds the ASL file for Fan as cooling device
/participant for thermal active cooling action for DPTF
on SKL-U fan based kunimitsu board.
With active cooling policy (_ART), we can control the fan
on/off and speed.

TEST=Built for kunimitsu board. Tested to see that the
thermal devices and the participants are enumerated and
can be seen in the /sys/bus/platform/devices. Also,
checked the FAN type the cooling devices enumerated

It encourages users from writing to the FSF without giving an address.
Linux also prefers to drop that and their checkpatch.pl (that we

fe86666913 intel/skylake: Clean up USB configuration in devicetree
Instead of having many different arrays for USB configuration,
with each array containing one bit of information, have one
array containing all the information for each port.

This way we can put the basic tuning parameters into a
structure and then define structures for the basic supported
configurations.

The existing port definitions are taken from the Skylake HSIO
tuning guide.

aa1b6b06ef skylake: ACPI: Fix compiler warnings with iasl-20150717
Updating to a new IASL introduces a lot of warnings that are
not serious issues but can be fixed with some reworks.

- Method local variables that are set but never used now warn,
when needing to read back a register the ordering is now changed
to set the value in Local0 first so the compiler does not complain.
- Methods that create an object must be serialized
- A ResourceTemplate declared inside a _CRS with a named variable
does not seem to be able to compile without a warning.  To fix
this move the ResourceTemplate outside the _CRS method.
- The DPTF CPU code was still using the old legacy \_PR.CPUx
instead of the new \_PR.CPxx definitions.

e6af4be158 intel fsp1_1: prepare for romstage vboot verification split
In order to introduce a verstage which performs vboot
verification the cache-as-ram environment needs to be
generalized and split into pieces that can be utilized
in romstage and/or verstage. Therefore, the romstage
pieces were removed from the cache-as-ram specific pieces
that are generic:

- Add fsp/car.h to house the declarations for functions in
  the cache-as-ram environment
- Only have cache_as_ram_params which are isolated form the
  cache-as-ram environment aside from FSP_INFO_HEADER.
- Hardware requirements for console initialization is done
  in the cache-as-ram specific files.
- Provide after_raminit.S which can be included from a
  romstage separated from cache-as-ram as well as one that
  is tightly coupled to the cache-as-ram environment.
- Update the fallout from the API changes in
  soc/intel/{braswell,common,skylake}.

cc5ac17fab soc/intel/common: remove chipset specific calls
The report_platform_info() and set_max_freq() are not being
used similarly on skylake and braswell. With the addition
of other SoCs I suspect a similar pattern will emerge. Instead
of having weak functions to ensure things link with the hardcoded
policy push these calls into their respective SoC homes.

For parity, both skylake and braswell were updated to be consistent
with the same calls prior to this patch.

951f2d3ebb Skylake: remove the out-dated VR config and un-needed 24mhz calibration
On Skylake, mailbox interface is used to configure VRs, dropping direct msr
writing. With current fsp, svid/vr programming seems to be functional - no
errors are given in the svid transactions in boot, and hw engineer verified
the VRs on Kunimitsu. Additional tunnings might be needed later with power
testing.
24mhz calibration is no longer needed on Skylake due to bclk archtecture
change.

bf7b5bc64a skylake: Work around issue in ACPI interpreter
There appears to be an issue that is causing this particular bit of
ACPI code to be incorrectly interpreted by the kernel and the IASL
disassembler.

Ensuring the PCRB() method is defined in the DSDT before any uses of
it appears to fix the problem, but that relies on specific ordering
of the ASL files included by pch.asl and may break again in the future
if the includes were re-ordered.  (they are alphabetic now)

So in this case to work around the issue unroll the function call so
the admittedly messy calculation is reduced to a constant when compiled.

Note this issue was observed with both iasl-20130117 and
iasl-20150717.

4a399c2bae skylake: ACPI: Remove Configurable TDP support code
Remove the CTDP support code that is in ACPI.  It has been ported
from haswell and while the MCHBAR register interface does seem to
still exist the calculations for determining PL2 is no longer
straightforward.

Additionally nothing is using this interface and the expectation
is that DPTF will be used for throttling with PL[1234] and having
ACPI interfere with the configuration would not be good.

Enable and use the common code for filling out the NVS data used
by the _SWS methods.  Add a function to provide the wake source
data.  With Deep S3 enabled skylake does not retain the contents
of the PM1_EN register so instead just select the wake related
events in PM1_STS.

789f2b6c43 fsp1_1: provide binding to UEFI version
FSP has some unique attributes which makes integration
cumbersome:

1. FSP header files do not include the types they need. Like
   EDKII development it's expected types are provided by the
   build system. Therefore, one needs to include the proper
   files to avoid compilation issues.
2. An implementation of FSP for a chipset may use different
   versions of the UEFI PI spec implementation. EDKII is a
   proxy for all of UEFI specifications. In order to provide
   flexibility one needs to binding a set of types and
   structures from an UEFI PI implementation.
3. Each chipset FSP 1.1 implementation has a FspUpdVpd.h
   file which defines it's own types. Commonality between
   FSP chipset implementations are only named typedef
   structs. The fields within are not consistent. And
   because of FSP's insistence on typedefs it makes it
   near impossible to forward declare structs.

The above 3 means one needs to include the correct UEFI
type bindings when working with FSP. The current
implementation had the SoC picking include paths in the
edk2 directory and using a bare <uefi_types.h> include.
Also, with the prior fsp_util.h implementation the SoC's
FSP FspUpdVpd.h header file was required since for providing
all the types at once (Generic FSP 1.1 and SoC types).

The binding has been changed in the following manner:
1. CONFIG_UEFI_2_4_BINDING option added which FSP 1.1
   selects. No other bindings are currently available,
   but this provides the policy.
2. Based on CONFIG_UEFI_2_4_BINDING the proper include
   paths are added to the CPPFLAGS_common.
3. SoC Makefile.inc does not bind UEFI types nor does
   it adjust CPPFLAGS_common in any way.
4. Provide a include/fsp directory under fsp1_1 and
   expose src/drivers/intel/fsp1_1/include in the
   include path. This split can allow a version 2,
   for example, FSP to provide its own include files.
   Yes, that means there needs to be consistency in
   APIs, however that's not this patch.
5. Provide a way for code to differentiate the FSP spec
   types (fsp/api.h) from the chipset FSP types
   (fsp/soc_binding.h). This allows for code re-use that
   doesn't need the chipset types to be defined such as
   the FSP relocation code.
