Tristan Corrick 19961a4b1b superio/nuvoton/nct6776/acpi: Add parallel port support
Exposing the parallel port via ACPI causes Linux to automatically detect
the parallel port and load the appropriate modules. Tested on an ASUS
P8H61-M LX with Linux 4.9.110 and 4.17.8.

However, no parallel port device has been tested.

Patrick Rudolph 4576600dd2 superio/nuvoton: Add support for NPCD378
The NPCD378 can be found on at least:
* HP Compaq 8200
* HP Compaq 8300

The datasheet is not publicly available, as HP implements lots of
custom hardware. Add basic support for it, based on HP Compaq 8200.
The first eight LDNs seem to be standard nuvoton compatible, except for
LDN4, which is used to control front LED and power in ACPI S3.

LDN8 provides access to HP's proprietary HWM which is accessiable at the LDN's
IOBASE with a size of 0x100 bytes.
The HWM consists of 16 pages with each holding 0xff bytes. The pages can be
selected by writing the page index to IOBASE + 0xff.

TODO:
Reverse engineer the HWM to support fan control.

WARNING:
The remaining LDNs have been guessed and might be wrong!

The serial has been tested and is working.

Instead of setting "peci_tmpin" in the devicetree, THERMAL_PECI is now

As of this commit, there are no boards that actually use peci_tmpin from

Vagiz Trakhanov cc9c0cbc7e superio/ite/common: Add temperature limits
Add devicetree options to set temperature limits that are used to alarm
user when temperature exceeds defined values.

Audio alerts by superio are not implemented yet, but since limits are
visible to userland, some software might use them as is. For instance,
lm-sensors displays "ALERT" when temperature exceeds limits.

Vagiz Trakhanov 17c5771530 superio/ite/common: Add temperature offset
Add a devicetree option to set temperature adjustment registers
required for thermal diode sensors and PECI. However, this commit does
not have the code needed to make PECI interface actually use these
registers. It only applies to diodes.

As a temporary workaround, one can set both THERMAL_DIODE and peci_tmpin
to the same TMPIN, e.g. TMPIN3.mode="THERMAL_DIODE" and peci_tmpin="3".
PECI, apparently, takes precedence over diode, so the adjustment register
will be set and PECI activated. Or simply use the followup patch, which
makes THERMAL_PECI a mode like THERMAL_DIODE.

I don't have hardware to test THERMAL_DIODE mode, but in case of PECI,
without this patch I had about -60°C on idle. Now, with offset 97,
which was taken from vendor bios, PECI readings became reasonable 35°C.

TEST=Set a temperature offset, then ensure that the value you set is
reflected in /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon*/temp[1-3]_offset

Paul Menzel bf725b48f7 superio/nuvoton/nct5572d: Add PS/2 presence detect
On certain Super I/O devices, when a PS/2 mouse is not present on the
auxiliary channel both channels will cease to function if the
auxiliary channel is probed while the primary channel is active.
Therefore, knowledge of mouse presence must be gathered by coreboot
during early boot, and used to enable or disable the auxiliary PS/2
port before control is passed to the operating system.

This is added in commit 448e3863 (drivers/pc80: Add PS/2 mouse
presence detect).

Update the Nuvoton NCT5572D driver to flag the auxiliary channel as
disabled if no device was detected. The code is copied from the Winbond
W83667HG-A driver.

Note, the ACPI changes are not part of this commit.

TEST=Currently, on the ASRock E350M1, PS/2 does not work. With this
change, a PS/2 keyboard works fine in SeaBIOS, GRUB in MBR, and Debian
GNU/Linux Sid/unstable with Linux 3.19.

According to the PNP ISA v1.0a spec, config registers in the range of

Config register 0xff is reserved and is defined as such.

Currently, only vendor specific registers 0xf0, 0xf1, 0xf4, and 0xfa

This patch adds support for all 15 vendor specific config registers,

Martin Roth 56033a9f2d superio/smsc/mec1308: Fix IASL warnings
The SIO device needs to provide an _ADR object with the IO
address as well as the address in the OperationRegion.

ACPI provides two different Resource Descriptor Macros to describe the
I/O areas required for a device. The FixedIO macro is only valid for
10-bit IO addresses. Use the IO macro instead.

Thank you to recent IASL that allows for addition in the ASL file. :)

Fixes these warnings:
dsdt.aml   2276: Device (SIO) {
Warning 3141 - ^ Missing dependency
(Device object requires a _HID or _ADR in same scope)
dsdt.aml 2390: FixedIO (0xa00, 0x34)
Warning 3060 - ^ Maximum 10-bit ISA address (0x3FF)

Warning 3060 - ^ Maximum 10-bit ISA address (0x3FF)

Lumpy now compiles its ASL tables with no warnings. Re-enable

Patrick Georgi b890a1228d Remove address from GPLv2 headers
As per discussion with lawyers[tm], it's not a good idea to
shorten the license header too much - not for legal reasons
but because there are tools that look for them, and giving
them a standard pattern simplifies things.

However, we got confirmation that we don't have to update
every file ever added to coreboot whenever the FSF gets a
new lease, but can drop the address instead.

util/kconfig is excluded because that's imported code that
we may want to synchronize every now and then.

Because we had no stack on romcc boards, we had a separate, not as
powerful clone of printk: print_*. Back in the day, like more than
half a decade ago, we migrated a lot of boards to printk, but we never
cleaned up the existing code to be consistent. instead, we worked around
the problem with a very messy console.h (nowadays the mess is hidden in
romstage_console.c and early_print.h)
This patch cleans up the superio code to use printk() on all non-ROMCC
boards.

Hiding pointer types behind 'typedef's is usually not a great

Edward O'Callaghan 85836c2215 superio: Use 'pnp_devfn_t' over 'device_t' in romstage component
The romstage component of Super I/O support is in fact written around
passing a lower and upper half packed integer. We currently have two
typedef's for this, 'device_t' and 'pnp_devfn_t'. We wish to make use of
'pnp_devfn_t' over 'device_t' as 'device_t' changes it's typedef in the
ramstage context and so is really a conflicting definition. This helps
solve problems down the road to having the 'real' 'device_t' definition
usable in romstage later.

This follows on from the rational given in:

Move towards the removal of the superio model specific xxx_serial_enable
implementation. Make remaining superio romstage parts link-time symbols
and fix corresponding mainboards to match.

The following mainboards remain unconverted as they are ROMCC:
 - mainboard/supermicro/x6dai_g
 - mainboard/supermicro/x6dhe_g
 - mainboard/supermicro/x6dhr_ig
 - mainboard/supermicro/x6dhr_ig2
and so block the final removal of w83627hf_serial_enable().

Special cases:
 - mainboard/supermicro/h8qme_fam10: Provide local pnp_ sio func
Provide local superio pnp_ programming entry/exit functions as to avoid
making superio implementation global symbols. Although this is not the
proper/final solution, it does mitigate possible symbol collisions and
allow for continued superio refactorisation.

Convert dependent board to generic winbond serial init. Note the clock

hence why it presumably works with this invalid function.

Furquan Shaikh 99ac98f7e1 Introduce stage-specific architecture for coreboot
Make all three coreboot stages (bootblock, romstage and ramstage) aware of the
architecture specific to that stage i.e. we will have CONFIG_ARCH variables for
each of the three stages. This allows us to have an SOC with any combination of
architectures and thus every stage can be made to run on a completely different
architecture independent of others. Thus, bootblock can have an x86 arch whereas
romstage and ramstage can have arm32 and arm64 arch respectively. These stage
specific CONFIG_ARCH_ variables enable us to select the proper set of toolchain
and compiler flags for every stage.

These options can be considered as either arch or modes eg: x86 running in
different modes or ARM having different arch types (v4, v7, v8). We have got rid
of the original CONFIG_ARCH option completely as every stage can have any
architecture of its own. Thus, almost all the components of coreboot are
identified as being part of one of the three stages (bootblock, romstage or
ramstage). The components which cannot be classified as such e.g. smm, rmodules
can have their own compiler toolset which is for now set to *_i386. Hence, all
special classes are treated in a similar way and the compiler toolset is defined
using create_class_compiler defined in Makefile.

In order to meet these requirements, changes have been made to CC, LD, OBJCOPY
and family to add CC_bootblock, CC_romstage, CC_ramstage and similarly others.
Additionally, CC_x86_32 and CC_armv7 handle all the special classes. All the
toolsets are defined using create_class_compiler.

Few additional macros have been introduced to identify the class to be used at
various points, e.g.: CC_$(class) derives the $(class) part from the name of
the stage being compiled.

We have also got rid of COREBOOT_COMPILER, COREBOOT_ASSEMBLER and COREBOOT_LINKER
as they do not make any sense for coreboot as a whole. All these attributes are
associated with each of the stages.

Find all the (ramstage) implementations of enter()/exit() functions

Patch generated with the cocci below. It's not perfect. The movement
of the enter()/exit() calls is somehow fragile. So I checked the
remaining calls for sense, and changed some empty lines. Also a

Nico Huber f898f7ba4d pnp: Provide alternative pnp_enable() implementation
The current default implementation of pnp_enable() only disables devices
- if set so in the devicetree - but does not enable them. Enablement takes
place in pnp_enable_resources(). Yet, many PnP chips implement their own
version of pnp_enable() which also enables devices if set in the devicetree.

It's arguable, if enabling those devices makes sense, before they get
resources assigned. Maybe we can't write the resource registers if not,
who knows? The least we can do is providing a common implementation for
this behavior, and get rid of some code duplication.

you don't have to guard device/ includes for SMM and pre RAM

Potentially in the future some of the code in the io.h __PRE_RAM__

Jens Rottmann 3914a316c3 AMD SB800: don't switch clock from 14 to 48 MHz for smscsuperio
The power up default for the 14M_25M_48M_OSC switchable clock output ball of
the SB800 chipset is 14 MHz. sb800/bootblock.c changes this to 48 MHz,
which is the correct value for almost all SIOs. However, not for
'smscsuperio' (SMSC SCH311x), which needs the original 14 MHz and is not
configurable for other clock speeds. A wrong SIO clock supply results in
funny RS232 output (wrong bit speed) and non-working PS/2.

We could switch back to 14 MHz in the mainboard's romstage.c, but then the
clock frequency would change twice. The resulting short 48 MHz burst causes
a handful of rubbish characters on RS232 on every boot until the SIO clock
has stabilized again.

This patch skips the SB800 clock switch if the SIO Kconfig requests 14 MHz.
This does not affect any boards currently in the repository (yet).
