The flush L1D to L2 operation was only being used when loading
romstage from bootblock. However, when the FSP-M component is
loaded no code coherency actions are taken. I suspect this is
because the FSP-M component is larger than the 24KiB L1D and
the entry point is early in the image. Thus, when loading
the FSP-M component the earlier part of the image is flushed
out to L2 in the process of loading the latter part of the
component. Also, once verstage is introduced the same
code coherency actions need to be taken as well. Therefore,
position the apollolake code to handle all these cases.

i2c_read(1, 0x74, 0, buf, sizeof(buf)) => 0x4000000 (I2C_ERR_ABORT)
Because the abort status register is cleared on read and wait_tx_fifo()
reads it twice, the returned status does not contain the abort status.
Fixing that changed the 2nd read to reflect the abort status.
i2c_read(1, 0x40, 0, buf, sizeof(buf)) => 0x2000000 (I2C_ERR_TIMEOUT)
i2c_read(1, 0x74, 0, buf, sizeof(buf)) => 0x4000001 (I2C_ERR_ABORT)
Bit 0 indicates that the address was not acknowledged by any slave.
That's the abort status from the previous transaction.
So I added a read of the abort status before starting a transaction in
both i2c_read() and i2c_write().
i2c_read(1, 0x40, 0, buf, sizeof(buf)) => 0x2000000 (I2C_ERR_TIMEOUT)

Coreboot and most payloads support three basic pixel widths for the
framebuffer. It assumes 32 by default, but several chipsets need to
override that value with whatever else they're supporting. Our struct
edid contains multiple convenience values that are directly derived from
this (and other properties), so changing the bits per pixel always
requires recalculating all those dependents in the chipset code. This
patch provides a small convenience wrapper that can be used to
consistently update the whole struct edid with a new pixel width
instead, so we no longer need to duplicate those calculations
everywhere.
BUG=None
TEST=Booted Oak in all three pixel widths (which it conveniently all
supports), confirmed that images looked good.

The current Apollolake flow has its code executing out of
cache-as-ram for the pre-DRAM stages. This is different from
past platforms where they were just executing-in-place against
the memory-mapped SPI flash boot media. The implication is
that when cache-as-ram needs to be torn down one needs to be
executing out of DRAM since the act of cache-as-ram going
away means the code disappears out from under the processor.
Therefore load and use the postcar infrastructure to bootstrap
this process for tearing down cache-as-ram and subsequently
loading ramstage.

Certain chipsets don't have a memory-mapped boot media
so their code execution for stages prior to DRAM initialization
is backed by SRAM or cache-as-ram. The postcar stage/phase
handles the cache-as-ram situation where in order to tear down
cache-as-ram one needs to be executing out of a backing
store that isn't transient. By current definition, cache-as-ram
is volatile and tearing it down leads to its contents disappearing.
Therefore provide a shim layer, postcar, that's loaded into
memory and executed which does 2 things:
1. Tears down cache-as-ram with a chipset helper function.
2. Loads and runs ramstage.
Because those 2 things are executed out of ram there's no issue
of the code's backing store while executing the code that
tears down cache-as-ram. The current implementation makes no
assumption regarding cacheability of the DRAM itself. If the
chipset code wishes to cache DRAM for loading of the postcar
stage/phase then it's also up to the chipset to handle any
coherency issues pertaining to cache-as-ram destruction.

This patch adds support for an alternative ternary number system in
which group of GPIOs can be interpreted. In this system, the digit
combinations that would form a binary number (i.e. that contain no 'Z'
state) are used to represent the lower values in the way they're used in
the normal binary system, and all the combinations that do contain a 'Z'
are used to represent values above those. We can use this for boards
that originally get strapped with binary board IDs but eventually
require more revisions than that representation allows. We can switch
their code to binary_first base3 and all old revisions with already
produced boards will still get read as the correct numbers.
Credit for the algorithm idea goes to Haran Talmon.

This change fixes LPSS ACPI mode. Previously, enabling ACPI mode would
result in unusable devices, as the resources were set to 0 and the devices
were disabled.
lpss.c was copied from intel/baytrail with a few minor adjustment for the
different config structure.
ACPI mode requires setting PcdLpssSioEnablePciMode==LPSS_PCI_MODE_DISABLE
and applying the patch that disables clearing gnvs.

This doesn't handle the case where the FSP has PcdLpssSioEnablePciMode

This change properly assigns resources to the LPE (Low Power Engine for
Audio) and enables ACPI mode.
lpe.c was copied from intel/baytrail with a few minor adjustment for the
different config structure.
ACPI mode requires setting LpeAcpiModeEnable=LPE_ACPI_MODE_ENABLED and
applying the patch that disables clearing gnvs.

On non-x86 platforms, coreboot uses the memlayout.ld mechanism to
statically allocate the different memory regions it needs and guarantees
at build time that there are no dangerous overlaps between them. At the
end of its (ramstage) execution, however, it usually loads a payload
(and possibly other platform-specific components) that is not integrated
into the coreboot build system and therefore cannot provide the same
overlap guarantees through memlayout.ld. This creates a dangerous memory
hazard where a new component could be loaded over memory areas that are
still in use by the code-loading ramstage and lead to arbitrary memory
corruption bugs.
This patch fills this gap in our build-time correctness guarantees by
adding the necessary checks as a new intermediate Makefile target on
route to assembling the final image. It will parse the memory footprint
information of the payload (and other platform-specific post-ramstage
components) from CBFS and compare it to a list of memory areas known to
be still in use during late ramstage, generating a build failure in case
of a possible hazard.

and it was to aggressive.
With timC being direct function of timB's 6 LSBs it's critical to match
timC and timB.
Some tests increments the value of timB by a small value,
which might cause the 6bit value to overflow, if it's close
to 0x3F.
Increment the value by a small offset if it's likely
to overflow, to make sure it won't overflow while running
tests and bricks the system due to a non matching timC.
In comparission to the first attempt, only 4 out of 128 timB values
are considered bad.

This patch ports the LZ4 decompression code that debuted in libpayload
last year to coreboot for use in CBFS stages (upgrading the base
algorithm to LZ4's dev branch to access the new in-place decompression
checks). This is especially useful for pre-RAM stages in constrained
SRAM-based systems, which previously could not be compressed due to
the size requirements of the LZMA scratchpad and bounce buffer. The
LZ4 algorithm offers a very lean decompressor function and in-place
decompression support to achieve roughly the same boot speed gains
(trading compression ratio for decompression time) with nearly no
memory overhead.
For now we only activate it for the stages that had previously not been
compressed at all on non-XIP (read: non-x86) boards. In the future we
may also consider replacing LZMA completely for certain boards, since
which algorithm wins out on boot speed depends on board-specific
parameters (architecture, processor speed, SPI transfer rate, etc.).

Stages are inconsistent with other memlayout regions in that they don't
have _<name> and _e<name> symbols defined. We have _program and

_eprogram marks the actual end of the executable's memory footprint, not
the end of the area allocated in memlayout. Both of these are sometimes
useful to know, so let's add another set of symbols that allow the stage
areas to be treated more similarly to other regions.

Some vendors store lower frequency profiles in the regular SPD,
if the SPD contains a XMP profile. To make use of the board's and DIMM's
maximum supported DRAM frequency, try to parse the XMP profile and
use it instead.
Validate the XMP profile to make sure that the installed DIMM count
per channel is supported and the requested voltage is supported.
To reduce complexity only XMP Profile 1 is read.
Allows my DRAM to run at 800Mhz instead of 666Mhz as encoded in the
default SPD.

The PCIe Root port shows up in GNU/Linux but no PCIe device
is being detected.
Test system:
* Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H (Intel Pentium CPU G2130)
* Lenovo T530 (Intel Core i5-3320M CPU)
Problem description:
The PEG Root port link training on Ivy Bridge needs to be manually started.
Problem solution:
The bits are set in early_init to meet PCIe reset timeout of 100msec.
The bits should be set in PCI device enable function, but this causes the
PCI enumeration to not detect the card, as it's still booting. Adding
a fixed delay of 100msec resolves this problem, but this would
increase boot time.
Read the PCI base revision mask to make sure it's any IvyBridge CPU.
Don't run the code on MRC path as it has its own PEG initilization code.
Tested with:
* Nvidia NVS 5400M (PCIe2)
* ATI Radeon HD4780 (PCIe2)
* Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT (PCIe1)
Untested:
* PCIe3 devices
Final test results:
The PEG device shows up under GNU/Linux and can be used without issues.

To allow sharing macros in ASL as well as C the macros can't
have complex expression because the ASL compiler does not
evaluate those expressions. To that end, just pre-calculate
the values. Lastly, add N_OFFSET and utilize it for symmetry.

We've had a second version of ulzma() that would check the input and
output buffer sizes in libpayload for a while now. Since it's generally
never a bad idea to double-check for overruns, let's port it to coreboot
and use it where applicable. (This requires a small fix in the four byte
at a time read optimization we only have in coreboot, since it made the
stream counter hit the end a little earlier than the algorithm liked and
could trigger an assertion.)

Having two separate memlayouts is an unnecessary complication.
Contributors need to make sure that their code fits into the vboot one
(with smaller stage sizes) either way, and the Tegras have plenty of
SRAM anyway. Let's just make the vboot layout the default (as it was
done on other SoCs) to keep things easier to maintain. The empty SRAM
holes on non-vboot systems where the verstage and work buffer would've
been won't hurt them.

This patch generalizes the approach previously used for ARM32
TTB_SUBTABLES to "auto-detect" whether a certain region was defined in
memlayout.ld. This allows us to get rid of the explicit Kconfig for the
TIMESTAMP region, reducing configuration redundancy and avoiding
confusion when setting up future boards.
(Removing armv4/bootblock_simple.c because it references this Kconfig
and it is a dead file that I just forgot to remove in CL:12076.)
