2d1dd5943d soc/intel/common: Move update_mrc_cache after BS_DEV_ENUMERATE
This patch ensures that MRC cache data is already written
into SPI chip before SPI protected regions are getting locked
during BS_DEV_RESOURCES-BS_ON_EXIT.

This requirements are intended to support platform security
guideline where all required chipset registers are expected
to be in lock down stage before launching any 3rd party
code as in option rom etc.

coreboot has to change its execution order to meet those
requirements. Hence storing mrc cache data into SPI has
been moved right after pci enumeration is done, so that
SPI registers can be lock down before calling post pci
enumeration FSP NotifyPhase() API which is targeted to
be done in BS_DEV_ENABLE-BS_ON_ENTRY.

TEST=Ensure MRC training data is stored into SPI chip and power_
Resume autotest is passing.

53d68b4ffb intel/common/block/sgx: Refactor SGX common code
To correct the SGX init sequence; PRMRR on all cores first
needs to be set, then follow the SGX init sequence. This
patch would refactor the common SGX code (and add needed
checks in the init sequence) so that SOC specific code can
call SGX init in correct order.

f771de445d intel/common/cpu: Add function to get microcode patch pointer
Add mp_current_microcode() function to get the microcode patch pointer.
Use this function to avoid reading the microcode patch from the boot
media. init_cpus() would initialize microcode_patch global variable to
point to microcode patch in boot media and this function can be used
to access the pointer.

581738642f Reinvent I2C ops
Do not use the global platform_i2c_transfer() function that can only be
implemented by a single driver. Instead, make a `struct device` aware
transfer() function the only interface function for I2C controller dri-
vers to implement.

To not force the slave device drivers to be implemented either above
generic I2C or specialized SMBus operations, we support SMBus control-
lers in the slave device interface too.

We start with four simple slave functions: i2c_readb(), i2c_writeb(),
i2c_readb_at() and i2c_writeb_at(). They are all compatible to respec-
tive SMBus functions. But we keep aliases because it would be weird to
force e.g. an I2C EEPROM driver to call smbus_read_byte().

0f2dd1eff9 include/device: Split i2c.h into three
Split `i2c.h` into three pieces to ease reuse of the generic defi-
nitions. No code is changed.

* `i2c.h`        - keeps the generic definitions
* `i2c_simple.h` - holds the current, limited to one controller driver
                   per board, devicetree independent I2C interface
* `i2c_bus.h`    - will become the devicetree compatible interface for
                   native I2C (e.g. non-SMBus) controllers

dc1e6bc277 intel/common/block/fast_spi: Add config option to disable write status
Chrome OS systems rely on the write status register to enable/disable
flash write protection and disabling this opcode breaks the ability
to enable or disable write protection with flashrom.

Add a configure option for this feature that will disable the opcode
for Write Status commands unless CONFIG_CHROMEOS is enabled.

Tested to ensure that a default build without CONFIG_CHROMEOS has this
option enabled while a build with CONFIG_CHROMEOS does not.  Also
ensured that when this option is disabled (for Chrome OS) then flashrom
can be used with the --wp-enable and --wp-disable commands, depending
on the state of the external write protect pin.

07f5b62aa8 soc/intel/common/block: Fix PMC common block dependency
This patch fix the dependency for PMC common block code.
PMC block use SLP_TYP macros and acpi_sleep_from_pm1
function which is defined in arch/acpi.h and guarded
by CONFIG_ACPI_INTEL_HARDWARE_SLEEP_VALUES. So we need
PMC common block to depend on that config for proper
inclusion.

029dfff30c i2c: Move to Linux like struct i2c_msg
Our current struct for I2C segments `i2c_seg` was close to being compa-
tible to the Linux version `i2c_msg`, close to being compatible to SMBus
and close to being readable (e.g. what was `chip` supposed to mean?) but
turned out to be hard to fix.

Instead of extending it in a backwards compatible way (and not touching
current controller drivers), replace it with a Linux source compatible
`struct i2c_msg` and patch all the drivers and users with Coccinelle.

The new `struct i2c_msg` should ease porting drivers from Linux and help
to write SMBus compatible controller drivers.

Beside integer type changes, the field `read` is replaced with a generic
field `flags` and `chip` is renamed to `slave`.

Patched with Coccinelle using the clumsy spatch below and some manual
changes:

* Nested struct initializers and one field access skipped by Coccinelle.
* Removed assumption in the code that I2C_M_RD is 1.
* In `i2c.h`, changed all occurences of `chip` to `slave`.

ea4ece61b6 soc/intel/apollolake: Enable UART debug controller on S3 resume
1. Add a new variable to GNVS to store information during S3 suspend
whether UART debug controller is enabled.

2. On resume, read stored GNVS variable to decide if UART debug port
controller needs to be initialized.

3. Provide helper functions required by intel/common UARRT driver for
enabling controller on S3 resume.

a8198eb9ad soc/intel/common/uart: Add support for enabling UART debug controller on resume
It has been observed on a number of platforms (baytrail, kaby lake)
that if serial console is not enabled in coreboot, but is enabled in
kernel (v4.4), then on resume kernel hangs. In order to fix this, add
support for enabling UART debug port controller on resume.

In order to decide whether UART debug port controller should be
enabled in ramstage, following things are checked in given order:
1. If coreboot has serial console enabled, there is no need to
re-initialize the controller.

2. This special action is taken only for UART debug port controller.

3. If boot is not S3 resume, then initialization is skipped.

4. Callback into SoC to check if it wants to initialize the
controller.

If all the above conditions are met, then UART debug port controller
is initialized and taken out of reset.

TEST=Verified with the entire patchset series that:
1. If coreboot does not have serial console enabled, but Linux kernel
has console enabled, then on resume, coreboot initializes UART debug
port controller.

2. If coreboot and Linux do not have serial console enabled, then
coreboot does not initialize UART debug port controller.

3. If coreboot has serial console enabled, there is no change in
behavior.

3406dd64c3 soc/intel/common/uart: Refactor uart_common_init
1. Create a new function uart_lpss_init which takes the UART LPSS
controller out of reset and initializes and enables clock.

2. Instead of passing in m/n clock divider values as parameters to
uart_common_init, introduce Kconfig variables so that uart_lpss_init
can use the values directly without having to query the SoC.

9dffbdd9c5 soc/intel/common/block: Add Intel PMC support
PMC util code is very similar accross different intel SOC's.
This patch is an effort to move those code in common place
so that it can be shared accross different intel platforms
instead of duplicating for each platform. This patch adds
pmclib.c file which contains the pmc utility functions
common accross SOC's. The config for common PMC is
SOC_INTEL_COMMON_BLOCK_PMC which can be defined in SOC's
Kconfig file in order to use the common PMC util code.

ab94ba309e intel/common/block/itss: Extend itss_irq_init() to handle IOSF 1.0
Current implementation of itss_irq_init() uses 8 bit write access to
IRQ routing registers which is not supported on Apollo Lake.

This commit moves the register access from 8 bit to 32 bit so that this
function can be used with every platform.

8e51319b03 soc/intel/common/block: Modify fast_spi_lock_bar function
Use 16bit write to avoid touching the upper two bytes that may cause
write cycle to fail in case a prior transaction has not completed.

This function sets the WRSDIS(Bit 11) and FLOCKDN (Bit 15) of the
SPIBAR + BIOS_HSFSTS_CTL. While WRSDIS is lockable with FLOCKDN,
writing both in the same cycle is guaranteed to work by design.

Avoid read->modify->write operation not to clear the RW1C bits
unintentionally.

130f266c6e soc/intel/common/block: Add max SPI transaction time-out as 5 sec
Earlier 15ms time-out was kept for SPI transactions which was not
enough for SPI Erase transactions.

Increase the max time-out time to 5 secs which was present in SKL
before common code.
This increase in time-out won't disturb other SPI transactions like
Read, Write or Read Status, since, for those it will come out of
the loop once FDONE bit or FCERR bit is set.

ac8e4db246 soc/intel/common/gpio: fix gpi_status_get()
A pad number is passed into gpi_status_get() to determine if its
associated bit is set from a generated event. However, the
implementation wasn't taking into account the gpi_status_offset
which dictates the starting offset for each community. Additionally,
the max_pads_per_group field is per community as well -- not global.
Fix the code to properly take into account the community's
gpi_status_offset as well as the max_pads_per_group.

b5a5aa6450 soc/intel/common/gpio: clean up logical to chipset mapping
1. Explicitly add LOGICAL to the reset macro name to make it explicit
   that the values are logical.
2. Reword some of the comments and combine them into single comment
   instead of scattering the comments throughout.
3. Use c99 struct initializers for the reset mapping array.
4. For the chipset specific values use literals that match the hardware.
5. Use 'U' suffixes on the literals so we don't trip up compiler being
   over zealous on undefined behavior.
6. Use unsigned and fixed-width types for the reset mapping structure
   since the code is reliant on matching up with a register definition.
7. Fix formatting that can fit < 80 cols.

aa2504a10e soc/intel/common/gpio: distingiush single vs multi acpi devices
Sadly, small core and big core are not aligned with the OS driver's
expectation on the number of ACPI devices used for each community.
Big core uses a single device while small cores use one ACPI device
per community. Allow for this distinction within the common gpio
implementation and ensure apollolake is utilizing the new option
to retain the correct behavior.

CONFIG_SOC_INTEL_COMMON_BLOCK_SGX controls building. The SGX feature
is still enabled from devicetree.cb. As of now this SGX init supports

incrementally in this common code base.

a86d1b8af5 soc/intel/common: Add SMM common code for Intel Platforms
SMI code is very similar across Intel platforms. Move this code to
common/block/smi to allow it to be shared between platforms instead
of duplicating the code for each platform. smihandler.h has already
been made common so all it will contain is name changes and a move
to the common block location. Due to moving smihandler code, APL
changes are bundled here to show this change.

01f9aa5e54 Consolidate reset API, add generic reset_prepare mechanism
There are many good reasons why we may want to run some sort of generic
callback before we're executing a reset. Unfortunateley, that is really
hard right now: code that wants to reset simply calls the hard_reset()
function (or one of its ill-differentiated cousins) which is directly
implemented by a myriad of different mainboards, northbridges, SoCs,
etc. More recent x86 SoCs have tried to solve the problem in their own
little corner of soc/intel/common, but it's really something that would
benefit all of coreboot.

This patch expands the concept onto all boards: hard_reset() and friends
get implemented in a generic location where they can run hooks before
calling the platform-specific implementation that is now called
do_hard_reset(). The existing Intel reset_prepare() gets generalized as
soc_reset_prepare() (and other hooks for arch, mainboard, etc. can now
easily be added later if necessary). We will also use this central point
to ensure all platforms flush their cache before reset, which is
generally useful for all cases where we're trying to persist information
in RAM across reboots (like the new persistent CBMEM console does).

Also remove cpu_reset() completely since it's not used anywhere and
doesn't seem very useful compared to the others.

2e7f6ccafc fsp/gop: Add running the GOP to the choice of gfx init
The new config choice is called RUN_FSP_GOP. Some things had to happen
on the road:

  * Drop confusing config GOP_SUPPORT,
  * Add HAVE_FSP_GOP to chipsets that support it,
  * Make running the GOP an option for FSP2.0 by returning 0

f0c7be4e63 intel/common/acpi: Fix ACPI debug log issue with LPSS UART
This patch fixes ACPI debug print issue reported internally
while using APRT asl method. Potentially some junk characters
gets added into final print buffer due to LPSS MMIO register
space is 32 bit width and ADBG is one byte at a time.

TEST=Built and boo eve to ensure to be able to get ASL console
log without any corruption.

a1491574ef drivers/spi/spi_flash: Clean up SPI flash probe
1. Rename __spi_flash_probe to spi_flash_generic_probe and export it
so that drivers can use it outside spi_flash.c.
2. Make southbridge intel spi driver use spi_flash_generic_probe if
spi_is_multichip returns 0.
3. Add spi_flash_probe to spi_ctrlr structure to allow platforms to
provide specialized probe functions. With this change, the specialized
spi flash probe functions are now associated with a particular spi
ctrlr structure and no longer disconnected from the spi controller.

de705fa1f4 drivers/spi: Re-factor spi_crop_chunk
spi_crop_chunk is a property of the SPI controller since it depends
upon the maximum transfer size that is supported by the
controller. Also, it is possible to implement this within spi-generic
layer by obtaining following parameters from the controller:

1. max_xfer_size: Maximum transfer size supported by the controller
(Size of 0 indicates invalid size, and unlimited transfer size is
indicated by UINT32_MAX.)

2. deduct_cmd_len: Whether cmd_len needs to be deducted from the
max_xfer_size to determine max data size that can be
transferred. (This is used by the amd boards.)

e4d7abc0d4 lib: provide clearer devicetree semantics
The devicetree data structures have been available in more than just
ramstage and romstage. In order to provide clearer and consistent
semantics two new macros are provided:

1. DEVTREE_EARLY which is true when !ENV_RAMSTAGE
2. DEVTREE_CONST as a replacment for ROMSTAGE_CONST

The ROMSTAGE_CONST attribute is used in the source code to mark
the devicetree data structures as const in early stages even though
it's not just romstage. Therefore, rename the attribute to
DEVTREE_CONST as that's the actual usage. The only place where the
usage was not devicetree related is console_loglevel, but the same
name was used for consistency. Any stage that is not ramstage has
the const C attribute applied when DEVTREE_CONST is used.

9d9a121fa0 soc/intel/common: provide default tis_plat_irq_status() implementation
On Intel platforms utilizing the CR50 TPM the interrupts are routed
to GPIOs connected to the GPE blocks. Therefore, provide a common
implementation for tis_plat_irq_status() to reduce code duplication.
This code could be further extended to not be added based on
MAINBOARD_HAS_TPM_CR50, but that's all that's using it for now.

d579199f96 soc/intel/common/block: Add Intel common PCR support
IOSF_SB message space is used to access registers mapped
on IOSF-SB. These registers include uncore CRs (configuration
registers) and chipset specific registers. The Private
Configuration Register (PCR) space is accessed on IOSF-SB
using destination ID also known as Port ID.

Access to IOSF-SB by the Host or System Agent is possible
over PSF via the Primary to Sideband Bridge (P2SB). P2SB will
forward properly formatted register access requests as CRRd and
CRWr request via IOSF-SB.

5bda642bcb drivers/spi: Get rid of spi_get_config
There is only one user for spi_get_config i.e. SPI ACPI. Also, the
values provided by spi_get_config are constant for now. Thus, get rid
of the spi_get_config call and fill in these constant values in SPI
ACPI code itself. If there is a need in the future to change these,
appropriate device-tree configs can be added.

108f87262b soc/intel/common: Add support for common GSPI controller
Add support for GSPI controller in Intel PCH. This controller is
compliant with PXA2xx SPI controller with some additional registers to
provide more fine-grained control of the SPI bus. Currently, DMA is
not enabled as this driver might be used before memory is up (e.g. TPM
on SPI).

Also, provide common GSPI config structure that can be included by
SoCs in chip config to allow mainboards to configure GSPI
bus. Additionally, provide an option for SoCs to configure BAR for
GSPI controllers before memory is up.

c5f10f9d85 soc/intel/common: allow lpss i2c time-based data hold time
When using rise_time_ns and fall_time_ns there's currently not
a way to specify a target data hold time. The internal 300ns
value is used. However, that isn't always sufficient depending on
bus topology. Therefore, provide the ability to specify data
hold time in ns from devicetree, defaulting to default value if
none are specified.

7de031759b soc/intel/skylake: Add SGX initialization
This patch implements SGX initialization steps in coreboot per Intel SGX
BWG rev 2.0.8 for Kaby Lake SoC. If enabled on a Kabylake device, SoC
capability and PRM (processor reserved memory) of desired size (needs to
be configured through PrmrrSize) are provisioned for later software
stack to use SGX (i.e., run SGX enclaves).

One issue is still puzzling and needs to be addressed: by calling
configure_sgx() in cpu_core_init() which is the per-thread function, SGX
is always failing for thread 0 but is successful for other 3 threads.
I had to call configure_sgx() again from soc_init_cpus() which is the
BSP-only function to make it enable on the BSP.

Another pending work is the implementation for the Owner Epoch update
which shall be added later.

Update the mrc cache implementation to use region_file. Instead
of relying on memory-mapped access and pointer arithmetic
use the region_devices and region_file to obtain the latest
data associated with the region. This removes the need for the
nvm wrapper as the region_devices can be used directly. Thus,
the library is more generic and can be extended to work on
different boot mediums.

Only one set of data can be valid at given point of time. Currently this
magically happens because region alignment is forced to 0x1000 and region

c28984d9ea spi: Clean up SPI flash driver interface
RW flag was added to spi_slave structure to get around a requirement on
some AMD flash controllers that need to group together all spi volatile
operations (write/erase). This rw flag is not a property or attribute of
the SPI slave or controller. Thus, instead of saving it in spi_slave
structure, clean up the SPI flash driver interface. This allows
chipsets/mainboards (that require volatile operations to be grouped) to
indicate beginning and end of such grouped operations.

New user APIs are added to allow users to perform probe, read, write,
erase, volatile group begin and end operations. Callbacks defined in
spi_flash structure are expected to be used only by the SPI flash
driver. Any chipset that requires grouping of volatile operations can
select the newly added Kconfig option SPI_FLASH_HAS_VOLATILE_GROUP and
define callbacks for chipset_volatile_group_{begin,end}.

spi_claim_bus/spi_release_bus calls have been removed from the SPI flash
chip drivers which end up calling do_spi_flash_cmd since it already has
required calls for claiming and releasing SPI bus before performing a
read/write operation.

2b3e0cdfc4 soc/intel/common/lpss_i2c: configure buses by rise/fall times
The default register count calculations are leading to higher
frequencies than expected. Provide an alternative method for
calculating the register counts by utilizing the rise and
fall times of the bus. If the rise time is supplied the
rise/fall time values are used, but the register overrides
take precedence over the rise/fall time calculation.  This
allows platforms to choose whichever method works the best.

4668ba77ea soc/intel/common/lpss_i2c: simplify API and use common config structure
The apollolake and skylake had duplicate stanzas of code for
initializing the i2c buses. Additionally, they also had very
similar structures for providing settings for the i2c speed
control. Introduce a new struct lpss_i2c_bus_config and
utilize it in both apollolake and skylake thereby removing
the need for SoC-specific structres. The new structure is
used for initializing a bus fully as the lpss i2c API is
simplified in that lpss_i2c_init() is only required to be
called. The struct lpss_i2c_bus_config structure is passed
in for both initializing and filling in the SSDT information.
The formerly exposed functions are made static to reduce the
external API exposure.

2. Protect RW and RECOVERY mrc caches in recovery and non-recovery boot
modes. Check if both are present under one unified region and protect
that region as a whole. Else try protecting individual regions.
3. Update training data in appropriate cache:
 - Use RW_MRC_CACHE if normal mode.
 - Use RECOVERY_MRC_CACHE if present in recovery mode. Else use
 RW_MRC_CACHE.
4. Add proper debug logs to indicate which training data cache is used
at any point.

a87170b166 lpss_i2c: Increase transaction timeout
When doing long transcations on an I2C bus at standard speed we saw
that long transactions could go over the 4ms limit while waiting for
it to complete on the bus.

Increase this so we can use standard speed for testing and debug in
firmware.  (as there is no way to force standard speed in the kernel)

772555a214 lpss_i2c: Change handling of controller enable/disable
This change modifies the lpss_i2c driver to behave more like
the Linux kernel driver.  In particular the controller is only
enabled when processing a transaction, and is disabled after.
This means that errors in one transaction will not affect later
transactions.

Also when disabling the controller the code is supposed to wait
on the enable bit in the "enable status" register and not in
the enable control register.  In order to get access to this
register the reg map was expanded to include all registers.

This was tested with the cr50 TPM driver to ensure that if a
transaction does fail that it can be successfully retried instead
of the bus being unusable.

2d45c28675 soc/intel/common: fix gsmi handler
The gsmi_exec() expects the parameter to be a pointer
to the 32-bit register storage of the SMI save state.
The previous code was passing a pointer with the value
obtained from the saved-state -- not a pointer to the
storage of the register value. This bug causes gsmi
to not log events because it's interrogating the
parameter buffer itself as if it were a pointer.

ae738acdc5 cpu/x86: Support CPUs without rdmsr/wrmsr instructions
Quark does not support the rdmsr and wrmsr instructions.  In this case
use a SOC specific routine to support the setting of the MTRRs.  Migrate
the code from FSP 1.1 to be x86 CPU common.

Since all rdmsr/wrmsr accesses are being converted, fix the build
failure for quark in lib/reg_script.c.  Move the soc_msr_x routines and
their depencies from romstage/mtrr.c to reg_access.c.

222381e390 skylake: Generate ACPI timing values for I2C devices
Have the Skylake SOC generate ACPI timing values for the enabled I2C
controllers instead of passing it in the DSDT with static timings.

The timing values are generated from the controller clock speed and
are more accurate than the hardcoded values that were in the ASL which
were originally copied from Broadwell where the controller is running
at a different clock speed...

Additionally it is now possible for a board to override the values
using devicetree.cb.  If zero is passed in for SCL HCNT or LCNT then
the kernel will generate its own timing using the same forumla, but if
the SDA hold time value is zero the kernel will NOT generate a correct
value and the SDA hold time may be incorrect.

This was tested on the Chell platform to ensure all the I2C devices on
the board are still operational with these new timing values.

88a1f14cad lpss_i2c: Set SDA hold and support custom speed config
This I2C controller has separate registers for different speeds to set
specific timing for SCL high and low times, and then a single register
to configure the SDA hold time.

For the most part these values can be generated based on the freq of
the controller clock, which is SOC-specific.  The existing driver was
generating SCL HCNT/LCNT values, but not the SDA hold time so that is
added.

Additionally a board may need custom values as the exact timing can
depend on trace lengths and the number of devices on the I2C bus. This
is a two-part customizaton, the first is to set the values for desired
speed for use within firmware, and the second is to provide those
values in ACPI for the OS driver to consume.

And finally, recent upstream changes to the designware i2c driver in
the Linux kernel now support passing custom timing values for high
speed and fast-plus speed, so these are now supported as well.

Since these custom speed configs will come from devicetree a macro is
added to simplify the description:

8a14c39ac6 soc/intel/common: Add LPSS I2C driver
Add a generic LPSS I2C driver for Intel SOCs that use the Synopsys
DesignWare I2C block and have a similar configuration of that block.

This driver is ported from the Chromium depthcharge project where it
was ported from U-Boot originally, though it looks very different now.
From depthcharge it has been modified to fit into the coreboot I2C
driver model with platform_i2c_transfer() and use coreboot semantics
throughout including the stopwatch API for timeouts.

In order for this shared driver to work the SOC must:

1) Define CONFIG_SOC_INTEL_COMMON_LPSS_I2C_CLOCK_MHZ to set the clock
speed that the I2C controller core is running at.

2) Define the lpss_i2c_base_address() function to return the base
address for the specified bus.  This could be either done by looking
up the PCI device or a static table if the controllers are not PCI
devices and just have a static base address.

The driver is usable in verstage/romstage/ramstage, though it does
require early initialization of the controller to set a temporary base
address if it is used outside of ramstage.

This has been tested on Broadwell and Skylake SOCs in both pre-RAM and
ramstage environments by reading and writing both single bytes across
multiple segments as well as large blocks of data at once and with
different configured bus speeds.

While it does need specific configuration for each SOC this driver
should be able to work on all Intel SOCs currently in src/soc/intel.

ba0fc470dd soc/intel/common: Add common smihandler code
Provide default handler for some SMI events. Provide the framework for
extracting data from SMM Save State area for processors with SMM revision
30100 and 30101.
The SOC specific code should initialize southbridge_smi with event
handlers. For SMM Save state handling, SOC code should implement
get_smm_save_state_ops which initializes the SOC specific ops for SMM Save
State handling.

810caa9949 soc/intel/common/mrc_cache: Don't assume FMAP is tied to CHROMEOS
The old code only checked for an RW_MRC_CACHE region when
CONFIG_CHROMEOS was selected. This assumption is not necessarily true,
as one can have FMAP without a CHROMEOS build. As a result, always
search FMAP first before falling back on CBFS for locating the MRC
cache region.
The old logic where CHROMEOS builds would fail when RW_MRC_CACHE was
not found is preserved, such that behavior does not change.

(3) changes in mma_automated_test.sh. Few MMA tests need system to
be COLD rebooted before test can start. mma_automated_test.sh would
do COLD reboot after each test, and so i would sync the filesystem

922064162b soc/intel/common/nvm: Allow overriding to_flash_offset() function
On apollolake, the flash is memory-mapped differently, and the default
MMIO to flash calculation does not produce correct results. While the
long-term solution is to rewrite the NVM functionality to keep the
flash offset as part of its context, as a temporary measure, allow
overriding the to_flash_offset() function by declaring it weak.

The registers associated with the MTRRs for Quark are referenced through
a port on the host bridge.  Support the standard configurations by
providing a weak routines which just do a rdmsr/wrmsr.

   *  Add "select DISPLAY_MTRRS"
   *  Add "select HAVE_FSP_PDAT_FILE"
   *  Add "select HAVE_FSP_RAW_BIN"

*  Place the FSP.bin file in the location specified by CONFIG_FSP_FILE
*  Place the pdat.bin files in the location specified by
CONFIG_FSP_PDAT_FILE

*  Testing is successful if:
   *  The MTRRs are displayed and
   *  The message "FspTempRamExit returned successfully" is displayed

b90b94d3ef intel: Add MMA feature in coreboot
This patch implements Memory Margin Analysis feature in coreboot.

Few things to note
(1) the feature is enabled by setting CONFIG_MMA=y in the config file
(2) coreboot reads mma_test_metadata.bin from cbfs during romstage and
gets the name of MMA test name and test config name. Then coreboot finds
these files in CBFS.
If found, coreboot passes location and size of these files to FSP via
UPD params.  Sets MrcFastBoot to 0 so that MRC happens and then MMA test
would be executed during memory init.
(3) FSP passes MMA results data in HOB and coreboot saves it in cbmem
(4) when system boots to OS after test is executed cbmem tool is used
to grab the MMA results data.

e6af4be158 intel fsp1_1: prepare for romstage vboot verification split
In order to introduce a verstage which performs vboot
verification the cache-as-ram environment needs to be
generalized and split into pieces that can be utilized
in romstage and/or verstage. Therefore, the romstage
pieces were removed from the cache-as-ram specific pieces
that are generic:

- Add fsp/car.h to house the declarations for functions in
  the cache-as-ram environment
- Only have cache_as_ram_params which are isolated form the
  cache-as-ram environment aside from FSP_INFO_HEADER.
- Hardware requirements for console initialization is done
  in the cache-as-ram specific files.
- Provide after_raminit.S which can be included from a
  romstage separated from cache-as-ram as well as one that
  is tightly coupled to the cache-as-ram environment.
- Update the fallout from the API changes in
  soc/intel/{braswell,common,skylake}.

The report_platform_info() and set_max_freq() are not being
used similarly on skylake and braswell. With the addition
of other SoCs I suspect a similar pattern will emerge. Instead
of having weak functions to ensure things link with the hardcoded
policy push these calls into their respective SoC homes.

For parity, both skylake and braswell were updated to be consistent
with the same calls prior to this patch.

e1ecfc93af intel: update common and FSP cache-as-ram parameters
Instead of just passing bits, tsc_low, tsc_high, and an
opaque pointer to chipset context those fields are bundled
into a cache_as_ram_params struct. Additionally, a new
struct fsp_car_context is created to hold the FSP
information. These could be combined as the existing
romstage code assumes what the chipset_context values are, but
I'm leaving the concept of "common" alone for the time being.
While working in that area the ABI between assembly and C code
has changed to just pass a single pointer to cache_as_ram_params
struct. Lastly, validate the bootloader cache-as-ram region
with the Kconfig options.

37a5d15da9 cbfs: add struct cbfsf
Now that cbfs is adding more metadata in the cbfs file
header one needs to access that metadata. Therefore,
add struct cbfsf which tracks the metadata and data
of the file separately. Note that stage and payload
metadata specific to itself is still contained within
the 'data' portion of a cbfs file. Update the cbfs
API to use struct cbfsf. Additionally, remove struct
cbfsd as there's nothing else associated with a cbfs
region aside from offset and size which tracked
by a region_device (thanks, CBFS_ALIGNMENT!).

789f2b6c43 fsp1_1: provide binding to UEFI version
FSP has some unique attributes which makes integration
cumbersome:

1. FSP header files do not include the types they need. Like
   EDKII development it's expected types are provided by the
   build system. Therefore, one needs to include the proper
   files to avoid compilation issues.
2. An implementation of FSP for a chipset may use different
   versions of the UEFI PI spec implementation. EDKII is a
   proxy for all of UEFI specifications. In order to provide
   flexibility one needs to binding a set of types and
   structures from an UEFI PI implementation.
3. Each chipset FSP 1.1 implementation has a FspUpdVpd.h
   file which defines it's own types. Commonality between
   FSP chipset implementations are only named typedef
   structs. The fields within are not consistent. And
   because of FSP's insistence on typedefs it makes it
   near impossible to forward declare structs.

The above 3 means one needs to include the correct UEFI
type bindings when working with FSP. The current
implementation had the SoC picking include paths in the
edk2 directory and using a bare <uefi_types.h> include.
Also, with the prior fsp_util.h implementation the SoC's
FSP FspUpdVpd.h header file was required since for providing
all the types at once (Generic FSP 1.1 and SoC types).

The binding has been changed in the following manner:
1. CONFIG_UEFI_2_4_BINDING option added which FSP 1.1
   selects. No other bindings are currently available,
   but this provides the policy.
2. Based on CONFIG_UEFI_2_4_BINDING the proper include
   paths are added to the CPPFLAGS_common.
3. SoC Makefile.inc does not bind UEFI types nor does
   it adjust CPPFLAGS_common in any way.
4. Provide a include/fsp directory under fsp1_1 and
   expose src/drivers/intel/fsp1_1/include in the
   include path. This split can allow a version 2,
   for example, FSP to provide its own include files.
   Yes, that means there needs to be consistency in
   APIs, however that's not this patch.
5. Provide a way for code to differentiate the FSP spec
   types (fsp/api.h) from the chipset FSP types
   (fsp/soc_binding.h). This allows for code re-use that
   doesn't need the chipset types to be defined such as
   the FSP relocation code.

4d3de7e328 bootstate: remove need for #ifdef ENV_RAMSTAGE
The BOOT_STATE_INIT_ENTRY macro can only be used in ramstage, however
the current state of the header meant bad build errors in non-ramstage.
Therefore, people had to #ifdef in the source. Remove that requirement.

9dcd4f059b fsp raminit: Add romstage_params to soc_memory_init_params
The SOC handler for memory init params is only taking UPD
as an input which does not allow it to use romstage_params.
In addition the UPD input is called params which is confusing

41c003ca6d soc/intel/common/fsp_ramstage.c: Don't die when printing HOB info
It doesn't make sense to die() when printing information. In fact the
die() are protected by DISPLAY_HOBS config option. This can get
confusing, so replace die() calls with printk().

Also since these messages are designed to be informational, keep them
at BIOS_INFO log level.

bc140cf111 soc/intel/common: Add mrc.cache file to CBFS when appropriate
The code in mrc_cache.c doesn't check for the presence of 'mrc.cache',
and just returns hardcoded value for he location of he MRC cache. This
becomes a problem when there is a CBFS file at the same location,
which can get overwritten. A CBFS file is created to cover this region
so that nothing can be added there.
This has the advantage of creating a build time error if another cbfs
file is hardcoded over the same region.

The default location of the MRC cache is also moved to 4G - 128K to
ensure that it defaults to something within CBFS.

0974dbe89a soc/intel/common: CACHE_MRC_SETTINGS doesn't depend on HAVE_MRC
The FSP platforms use CACHE_MRC_SETTINGS without setting HAVE_MRC,
which caused a Kconfig warning. Since CACHE_MRC_SETTINGS doesn't really
depend on HAVE_MRC anymore, remove the dependency in Kconfig.

c43d417039 intel/common: fix stage_cache_external_region()
The stage_cache_external_region() calculation is actually
dependennt on the properties of the chipset. The reason
is that certain regions within the SMRAM are used for
chipset-specific features. Therefore, provide an API
for abstracting the querying of subregions within
the SMRAM.

The 3 subregions introduced are:

SMM_SUBREGION_HANDLER - SMM handler area
SMM_SUBREGION_CACHE - SMM cache region
SMM_SUBREGION_CHIPSET - Chipset specific area.

The subregions can be queried using the newly
added smm_subregion() function.

Now stage_cache_external_region() uses smm_subregion()
to query the external stage cache in SMRAM, and this
patch also eliminates 2 separate implementations of
stage_cache_external_region() between romstage and
ramstage.

abf87a25f2 intel/common: use external stage cache for fsp_ramstage
The fsp_ramstage.c code was not taking advantage of the stage
cache which does all the accounting and calculation work for
the caller. Remove the open coded logic and use the provided
infrastructure. Using said infrastructure means there's no
need for the FSP_CACHE_SIZE Kconfig variable. Therefore, remove
it.

22ea007891 fsp1_1: fsp_relocate: use struct region_device and struct prog
Using struct prog and struct region_device allows for the
caller to be none-the-wiser about where FSP gets placed. It
also allows for the source location to be abstracted away
such that it doesn't require a large mapping up front to
do the relocation. Lastly, it allows for simplifying the
intel/commmon FSP support in that it can pass around a
struct prog.

0424c95a6d fmap: new API using region_device
Instead of being pointer based use the region infrastrucutre.
Additionally, this removes the need for arch-specific compilation
paths. The users of the new API can use the region APIs to memory

b890a1228d Remove address from GPLv2 headers
As per discussion with lawyers[tm], it's not a good idea to
shorten the license header too much - not for legal reasons
but because there are tools that look for them, and giving
them a standard pattern simplifies things.

However, we got confirmation that we don't have to update
every file ever added to coreboot whenever the FSF gets a
new lease, but can drop the address instead.

util/kconfig is excluded because that's imported code that
we may want to synchronize every now and then.

aae53ab76a kbuild: automatically include SOCs
This change switches all SOC vendors and southbridges
to be autoincluded by Makefile.inc, rather than having to be
mentioned explicitly in soc/Makefile.inc or in
soc/<vendor>/Makefile.inc.

This means, vendor and SOC directories are now "drop
in", e.g. be placed in the coreboot directory hierarchy
without having to modify any higher level coreboot files.

The long term plan is to enable out of tree components to be
built with a given coreboot version (given that the API did not
change).

a32b6b9471 soc/intel/common: Add function to protect MRC cache
Add support for applying write protection to the MRC cache
region in SPI flash.

This is only enabled if there is write protect GPIO that is
set, and the flash status register reports that the flash
chip is currently write protected.

Then it will call out to a SOC specific function that will
enable write protection on the RW_MRC_CACHE region of flash.

The implementation is not quite as clean as I would like because
there is not a common flash protect interface across SOCs so
instead it relies on a new Kconfig variable to be set that will
indicate a SOC implements the function to protect a region of
SPI flash.

9ef9d85976 bootstate: use structure pointers for scheduling callbacks
The GCC 4.9.2 update showed that the boot_state_init_entry
structures were being padded and assumed to be aligned in to an
increased size. The bootstate scheduler for static entries,
boot_state_schedule_static_entries(), was then calculating the
wrong values within the array. To fix this just use a pointer to
the boot_state_init_entry structure that needs to be scheduled.

In addition to the previous issue noted above, the .bs_init
section was sitting in the read only portion of the image while
the fields within it need to be writable. Also, the
boot_state_schedule_static_entries() was using symbol comparison
to terminate a loop which in C can lead the compiler to always
evaluate the loop at least once since the language spec indicates
no 2 symbols can be the same value.
