Krystian Hebel 6d81b15bbe superio/ite/it8613e: add support for ITE IT8613E
This change adds support for the SuperIO chip IT8613E. This chip uses
FANs 2-5 and has SmartGuardian always enabled (no ON/OFF control) so
it relies on support in common ITE code. LDNs were taken from IT8613E
Preliminary Specification V0.3.

Krystian Hebel 97445f20ed superio/ite/common: add option for enabling 5 FANs
Some ITEs have more than 3 independent FAN controller outputs. As the
initial implementation assumed only 3 outputs some registers are not
consequently numbered. This change adds macros for accessing those
registers.

Additionally some chips have SmartGuardian always enabled, without the
option for turning it off. For these chips bits that were responsible
for ON/OFF control are either reserved or have different meaning.
Another Kconfig option is added to disable ON/OFF functionality on
platforms that do not support it.

Nico Huber 9faae2b939 Kconfig: Unify power-after-failure options
The newest and most useful incarnation was hiding in soc/intel/common/.
We move it into the Mainboard menu and extend it with various flags to
be selected to control the default and which options are visible. Also
add a new `int` config MAINBOARD_POWER_FAILURE_STATE that moves the
boolean to int conversion into Kconfig:
  0 - S5
  1 - S0
  2 - previous state

This patch focuses on the Kconfig code. The C code could be unified as
well, e.g. starting with a common enum and safe wrapper around the
get_option() call.

TEST=Did what-jenkins-does with and without this commit and compared
binaries. Nothing changed for the default configurations.

There is no public datasheet available for this SuperIO so the resources are
guessed by looking at other ITE SuperIO's and the register dumps while running
vendor firmware.

The only board with this SuperIO in the tree is the asus m5a88-v. Most of the
devicetree entries would have been invalid here so one should not worry too much
about regressions.

The existing code for modifying the power state after power loss of the system

Since I don't have a board with this chip, I couldn't test the patch on real

was merged, so I'd expect this to work.

* HP Compaq 8200
* HP Compaq 8300

The datasheet is not publicly available, as HP implements lots of
custom hardware. Add basic support for it, based on HP Compaq 8200.
The first eight LDNs seem to be standard nuvoton compatible, except for
LDN4, which is used to control front LED and power in ACPI S3.

LDN8 provides access to HP's proprietary HWM which is accessiable at the LDN's
IOBASE with a size of 0x100 bytes.
The HWM consists of 16 pages with each holding 0xff bytes. The pages can be
selected by writing the page index to IOBASE + 0xff.

TODO:

The remaining LDNs have been guessed and might be wrong!

Vagiz Trakhanov 177f7731aa superio/ite/common: Make PECI a thermal mode
Instead of setting "peci_tmpin" in the devicetree, THERMAL_PECI is now
a mode of TMPIN like THERMAL_RESISTOR and THERMAL_DIODE. Since the logic
to set temperature offsets and limits is in the function that sets
thermal modes, it makes sense to treat PECI as yet another mode.

As of this commit, there are no boards that actually use peci_tmpin from
ite/common. There are three boards that have a similar device tree
option, but those boards use it8772f, which implements all superio
functions on its own.

The first user will probably be Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H.

Add devicetree options to set temperature limits that are used to alarm

Audio alerts by superio are not implemented yet, but since limits are
visible to userland, some software might use them as is. For instance,

Vagiz Trakhanov 17c5771530 superio/ite/common: Add temperature offset
Add a devicetree option to set temperature adjustment registers
required for thermal diode sensors and PECI. However, this commit does
not have the code needed to make PECI interface actually use these
registers. It only applies to diodes.

As a temporary workaround, one can set both THERMAL_DIODE and peci_tmpin
to the same TMPIN, e.g. TMPIN3.mode="THERMAL_DIODE" and peci_tmpin="3".
PECI, apparently, takes precedence over diode, so the adjustment register
will be set and PECI activated. Or simply use the followup patch, which
makes THERMAL_PECI a mode like THERMAL_DIODE.

I don't have hardware to test THERMAL_DIODE mode, but in case of PECI,
without this patch I had about -60°C on idle. Now, with offset 97,
which was taken from vendor bios, PECI readings became reasonable 35°C.

TEST=Set a temperature offset, then ensure that the value you set is
reflected in /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon*/temp[1-3]_offset

Nico Huber e34e178ca3 sio/ite/common: Add generic environment-controller driver
The environment-controller entity is shared by many ITE super-i/o
chips. There are some differences between the chips, though. To cover
that, the super-i/o chip should select Kconfig options of this driver
accordingly.

The current implementation isn't exhaustive: It covers only those
parts that are connected on boards I could test, plus those that are
currently used by the IT8772F. The latter could be ported to use this
driver if somebody minds to test it.

Paul Menzel bf725b48f7 superio/nuvoton/nct5572d: Add PS/2 presence detect
On certain Super I/O devices, when a PS/2 mouse is not present on the
auxiliary channel both channels will cease to function if the
auxiliary channel is probed while the primary channel is active.
Therefore, knowledge of mouse presence must be gathered by coreboot
during early boot, and used to enable or disable the auxiliary PS/2
port before control is passed to the operating system.

This is added in commit 448e3863 (drivers/pc80: Add PS/2 mouse
presence detect).

Update the Nuvoton NCT5572D driver to flag the auxiliary channel as
disabled if no device was detected. The code is copied from the Winbond
W83667HG-A driver.

Note, the ACPI changes are not part of this commit.

TEST=Currently, on the ASRock E350M1, PS/2 does not work. With this
change, a PS/2 keyboard works fine in SeaBIOS, GRUB in MBR, and Debian
GNU/Linux Sid/unstable with Linux 3.19.

Martin Roth 56033a9f2d superio/smsc/mec1308: Fix IASL warnings
The SIO device needs to provide an _ADR object with the IO
address as well as the address in the OperationRegion.

ACPI provides two different Resource Descriptor Macros to describe the
I/O areas required for a device. The FixedIO macro is only valid for
10-bit IO addresses. Use the IO macro instead.

Thank you to recent IASL that allows for addition in the ASL file. :)

Fixes these warnings:
dsdt.aml   2276: Device (SIO) {
Warning 3141 - ^ Missing dependency
(Device object requires a _HID or _ADR in same scope)
dsdt.aml 2390: FixedIO (0xa00, 0x34)
Warning 3060 - ^ Maximum 10-bit ISA address (0x3FF)

Warning 3060 - ^ Maximum 10-bit ISA address (0x3FF)

Patrick Georgi b890a1228d Remove address from GPLv2 headers
As per discussion with lawyers[tm], it's not a good idea to
shorten the license header too much - not for legal reasons
but because there are tools that look for them, and giving
them a standard pattern simplifies things.

However, we got confirmation that we don't have to update
every file ever added to coreboot whenever the FSF gets a
new lease, but can drop the address instead.

util/kconfig is excluded because that's imported code that
we may want to synchronize every now and then.

Because we had no stack on romcc boards, we had a separate, not as
powerful clone of printk: print_*. Back in the day, like more than
half a decade ago, we migrated a lot of boards to printk, but we never
cleaned up the existing code to be consistent. instead, we worked around
the problem with a very messy console.h (nowadays the mess is hidden in
romstage_console.c and early_print.h)
This patch cleans up the superio code to use printk() on all non-ROMCC

Edward O'Callaghan f21bdc3020 superio/*/superio.c: Don't hide pointer types behind typedefs
Hiding pointer types behind 'typedef's is usually not a great
idea at the best of times. Worse the typedef becomes an integer
at different stages in Coreboot. Let us refrain from doing this
at all.

Edward O'Callaghan 85836c2215 superio: Use 'pnp_devfn_t' over 'device_t' in romstage component
The romstage component of Super I/O support is in fact written around
passing a lower and upper half packed integer. We currently have two
typedef's for this, 'device_t' and 'pnp_devfn_t'. We wish to make use of
'pnp_devfn_t' over 'device_t' as 'device_t' changes it's typedef in the
ramstage context and so is really a conflicting definition. This helps
solve problems down the road to having the 'real' 'device_t' definition
usable in romstage later.

This follows on from the rational given in:

Felix Held da09d02c57 superio/nuvoton: factor out generic romstage components
The romstage of Nuvoton Super I/O chips (but not Nuvoton BMC chips)
is identical, so the early_serial.c file can be moved under
nuvoton/common.
The Nuvoton BMC chip WPCM450 is however left untouched.

Special cases:

Provide local superio pnp_ programming entry/exit functions as to avoid
making superio implementation global symbols. Although this is not the

Convert dependent board to generic winbond serial init. Note the clock

hence why it presumably works with this invalid function.

Furquan Shaikh 99ac98f7e1 Introduce stage-specific architecture for coreboot
Make all three coreboot stages (bootblock, romstage and ramstage) aware of the
architecture specific to that stage i.e. we will have CONFIG_ARCH variables for
each of the three stages. This allows us to have an SOC with any combination of
architectures and thus every stage can be made to run on a completely different
architecture independent of others. Thus, bootblock can have an x86 arch whereas
romstage and ramstage can have arm32 and arm64 arch respectively. These stage
specific CONFIG_ARCH_ variables enable us to select the proper set of toolchain
and compiler flags for every stage.

These options can be considered as either arch or modes eg: x86 running in
different modes or ARM having different arch types (v4, v7, v8). We have got rid
of the original CONFIG_ARCH option completely as every stage can have any
architecture of its own. Thus, almost all the components of coreboot are
identified as being part of one of the three stages (bootblock, romstage or
ramstage). The components which cannot be classified as such e.g. smm, rmodules
can have their own compiler toolset which is for now set to *_i386. Hence, all
special classes are treated in a similar way and the compiler toolset is defined
using create_class_compiler defined in Makefile.

In order to meet these requirements, changes have been made to CC, LD, OBJCOPY
and family to add CC_bootblock, CC_romstage, CC_ramstage and similarly others.
Additionally, CC_x86_32 and CC_armv7 handle all the special classes. All the
toolsets are defined using create_class_compiler.

Few additional macros have been introduced to identify the class to be used at
various points, e.g.: CC_$(class) derives the $(class) part from the name of
the stage being compiled.

We have also got rid of COREBOOT_COMPILER, COREBOOT_ASSEMBLER and COREBOOT_LINKER
as they do not make any sense for coreboot as a whole. All these attributes are
associated with each of the stages.

Edward O'Callaghan cf7b498908 superio/fintek/*: Factor out generic romstage component
The romstage of Fintek Super I/O's is identical, leading to replication
of essentially the same code prone to bitrot. Herein we consolidate the
early pre-ram UART initialisation code into fintek/common, rather we
leave the exceptions to be implemented under model/.

More precisely we provide a well documented version of early_serial.c
under fintek/common and select by way of Kconfig as a generic romstage
component to Super I/O support. We leave future Super I/O's the option
to implement `non-standard` initialisation code should such a (unlikely)
need araise. A primary advantage is that new support for romstage serial
is now trival to add. We also provide some Kconfig documentation while
here.

This super io support is poorly implemented and would not work for all
boards since it hardcodes values. Since there are no users of it, remove
for now pending a fresh reimplementation from scratch.

init functions as romstage symbols to avoid falsely #including
"early_serial.c" in romstage.c of board support.
