7b615f8eeb mb/intel/kblrvp: Do not use Legacy mode for UART #2
All KBLRVP variants select the `INTEL_LPSS_UART_FOR_CONSOLE` Kconfig
option and set `UART_FOR_CONSOLE` to `2`, so that UART #2 is used as
coreboot console. However, the LPSS console driver requires the LPSS
UART to be memory-mapped (and not I/O-mapped, like Super I/O UARTs).

KBLRVP variant RVP8 uses `PchSerialIoLegacyUart` for UART #2, which
makes FSP-S configure UART #2 in legacy, I/O-mapped mode. This most
likely results in the UART console not working after FSP-S has run.

This change updates RVP8 to use `PchSerialIoSkipInit` for UART #2, like
the other KBLRVP variants do.

This change adds a new Kconfig `SOC_INTEL_ENABLE_USB4_PCIE_RESOURCES`
that can be selected by mainboard to reserve hotplug resources for
USB4 at the SoC level. `ADL_ENABLE_USB4_PCIE_RESOURCES` is dropped
from soc/intel/alderlake and instead the newly added Kconfig is now
used. This new Kconfig is added so that the same config can be used
across different platforms. In following changes, this Kconfig is

Normally, selecting FSP_USE_REPO will select FSP_FULL_FD which then will
configure the proper paths for FSP_M_FILE and FSP_S_FILE. The override
in these two boards caused FSP_M_FILE and FSP_S_FILE being empty despite

1f84b2c025 drivers/mipi: Make orientation a property of the mainboard, not panel
It doesn't make sense to store the orientation field directly in the
panel information structure, which is supposed to be reuseable between
different boards. The thing that determines orientation is how that
panel is built into the board in question, which only the board itself
can know. The same portrait panel could be rotated left to be used as
landscape in one board and rotated right to be used as landscape in
another. This patch moves the orientation field out of the panel
structure back into the mainboards to reflect this.

5d91bdd312 mb/google/zork: correct MST probes
It turns out that putting a device ref in an overridetree at a different
point in the tree will generate a duplicate device definition, such that
the change introducing this support was ignoring the device presence
specified by overridetree.cb and only using the baseboard configuration.
I believe testing of that change was not redone after the baseboard was
changed to disable the MST, so that conflicting behavior was not
noticed.

The incorrect behavior generated a disabled device for the MST at the
location specified by the baseboard, and one with the probe as a child
of the soc. At runtime this did a fw_config probe of the "I2C 00:4a"
device, and later probed a different "I2C 00:4a" which was already
disabled. As the disabled one came later, it seems to have completely
disabled the MST, discarding the results of the variant-specific probe.

ae20d4c78f mb/google/volteer: Fix USB4 enabling for volteer family
volteer baseboard was currently enabling TBT(USB4) devices in
baseboard devicetree and also selecting the Kconfigs required for
resource allocation above 4G for the USB4 controllers. However, not
all volteer devices have USB4 support. This change fixes USB4 enabling
for volteer family by making the following udpates:
1. TBT devices are moved from baseboard devicetree to individual
override trees for the variants that actually support USB4.
2. When moving TBT devices to override tree, tbt_pcie_rp0 is marked as
on instead of hidden for all variants other than volteer
reference. This is because volteer reference is the only device that
has an asymmetric support for USB4 (i.e. does not support USB4 on C0
port).
3. Kconfig selection for PCIEXP_HOTPLUG is moved to Kconfig.name for
these variants.

085649440b mb/google/poppy: Do not let FSP-S init UART 0
FSP-S configures the GPIOs for enabled SerialIO devices. However, Poppy
boards only enable UART 0 because it's function 0 of PCI device 30, and
the PCI specification requires that function 0 of multifunction devices
be implemented if other functions are implemented as well.

Nautilus got remedied in commit 8a1f095e50
(mb/google/poppy/variants/nautilus: Update camera power enable GPIOs) by
using `PchSerialIoSkipInit` for UART 0, which tells FSP to not touch the
SerialIO device. This way, it remains enabled and the GPIO settings will
not be overwritten by FSP.

However, not all variants do this, but use some UART 0 pads as GPIOs. To
prevent any issues, configure UART 0 as `PchSerialIoSkipInit` on all the
variants.

90afa3c28c AGESA f15tn: Drop IDSOPT_ASSERT_ENABLED
The `ASSERT` macro is already defined in `src/include/assert.h`, and
AGESA's definition is never used. On Asus A88XM-E, toggling the value of
the `IDSOPT_ASSERT_ENABLED` macro does not change the resulting binary
when using reproducible builds. Attempting to use AGESA's definition of
the `ASSERT` macro results in build errors:

 In file included from src/vendorcode/amd/agesa/f15tn/Proc/CPU/Feature/cpuDmi.c:56:
 src/vendorcode/amd/agesa/f15tn/Proc/CPU/Feature/cpuDmi.c: In function 'GetType4Type7Info':
src/vendorcode/amd/agesa/f15tn/Include/Ids.h:371:33: error: statement with no effect [-Werror=unused-value]
      #define ASSERT(conditional) ((conditional) ? 0 : IdsAssert (STOP_CODE));

Given that coreboot's definition of `ASSERT` is more useful, drop
AGESA's broken definition and the useless `IDSOPT_ASSERT_ENABLED` macro.
Also remove the `IdsAssert` function, as it is no longer used anywhere.

Tested with BUILD_TIMELESS=1, Asus A88XM-E remains identical.

2dc73aa4a7 AGESA f15tn boards: Sync IDS option values
In preparation to replace OptionsIds.h with Kconfig options, use the
same settings on all AGESA f15tn boards. The only difference this makes
is that the `IDS_LATE_RUN_AP_TASK` macro no longer expands to nothing.
It is expected that the impact this difference makes is minimal.

Note that the `IDSOPT_TRACING_ENABLED` option currently fails to build.

Tested on asus/f2a85-m, still boots.

e78fd115e6 qualcomm/sc7180: Switch to common MIPI panel library
This patch changes the sc7180 boards to use the new common MIPI panel
framework, which allows more flexible initialization command packing and
sharing panel definitions between boards. (I'm taking the lane count
control back out again for now, since it seems we only ever want 4 for
now anyway, and if we ever have a need for a different lane count it's
not clear whether that should be a property of the board or the panel or
both. Better to leave that decision until we have a real use case.)

Also, the code was not written to deal with DCS commands that were not a
length divisible by 4 (it would read over the end of the command
buffer). The corresponding kernel driver seems to pad the command with
0xff instead, let's do the same here. (Also increase the maximum allowed
command length to 256 bytes, as per Qualcomm's recommendation.)

b2a1480191 device: Move MIPI panel library from mainboard/google/kukui into common
All boards that are trying to use MIPI panels eventually run into the
problem that they need to store physical parameters and a list of DCS
initialization commands for each panel, and these commands can be very
different (e.g. a large amount of very short commands, a few very large
commands, etc.). Finding a data format to fit all these different cases
efficiently into the same structures keeps being a challenge, and the
Kukui mainboard already once put a lot of effort into designing a
clean, flexible and efficient solution for this. This patch moves that
framework into a common src/device/mipi/ library where it can be used by
other boards as well. (Also, this will hopefully allow us to save some
duplicated work when using the same panel on different boards at some
point.)

All Atlas devices have the touchscreen controller, so probing for its
presence is unnecessary. Removing the probe requirement allows the
touchscreen ACPI device in Linux to re-enumerate when rebinding its
I2C adapter device.

Without this change, after rebinding the touchscreen's I2C adapter
device using sysfs the touchscreen ACPI and HID devices are absent, and
the touchscreen is unresponsive.

With this change, the touchscreen ACPI and HID devices are re-created
after rebinding its I2C adapter device, and the touchscreen becomes
responsive again.

cf35fd3748 mb/siemens/mc_ehl1: Disable L1 substates for PCIe root ports
L1 substates of a PCIe link are meant to save some power when the link
is not active but have the drawback that the PCIe latency is increased
as PLLs are switched on and off as needed.

In order to get a better realtime performance, disable all substates for
every PCIe root port.
