Allocation now happens prior to device enumeration. The
step cbmem_add() is a no-op here, if reached for some
boards. The memset() here is also redundant and becomes
harmful with followup works, as it would wipe out the
CBMEM console and ChromeOS related fields without them
being set again.

This patch renames cbfs_boot_map_with_leak() and cbfs_boot_load_file()
to cbfs_map() and cbfs_load() respectively. This is supposed to be the
start of a new, better organized CBFS API where the most common
operations have the most simple and straight-forward names. Less
commonly used variants of these operations (e.g. cbfs_ro_load() or
cbfs_region_load()) can be introduced later. It seems unnecessary to
keep carrying around "boot" in the names of most CBFS APIs if the vast
majority of accesses go to the boot CBFS (instead, more unusual
operations should have longer names that describe how they diverge from
the common ones).
cbfs_map() is paired with a new cbfs_unmap() to allow callers to cleanly
reap mappings when desired. A few new cbfs_unmap() calls are added to
generic code where it makes sense, but it seems unnecessary to introduce
this everywhere in platform or architecture specific code where the boot
medium is known to be memory-mapped anyway. In fact, even for
non-memory-mapped platforms, sometimes leaking a mapping to the CBFS
cache is a much cleaner solution than jumping through hoops to provide
some other storage for some long-lived file object, and it shouldn't be
outright forbidden when it makes sense.
Additionally, remove the type arguments from these function signatures.
The goal is to eventually remove type arguments for lookup from the
whole CBFS API. Filenames already uniquely identify CBFS files. The type
field is just informational, and there should be APIs to allow callers
to check it when desired, but it's not clear what we gain from forcing
this as a parameter into every single CBFS access when the vast majority
of the time it provides no additional value and is just clutter.

Create two new functions to fetch mrc_cache data (replacing
mrc_cache_get_current):
- mrc_cache_load_current: fetches the mrc_cache data and drops it into
the given buffer. This is useful for ARM platforms where the mmap
operation is very expensive.
- mrc_cache_mmap_leak: fetch the mrc_cache data and puts it into a
given buffer. This is useful for platforms where the mmap operation
is a no-op (like x86 platforms). As the name mentions, we are not
freeing the memory that we allocated with the mmap, so it is the
caller's responsibility to do so.
Additionally, we are replacing mrc_cache_latest with
mrc_cache_get_latest_slot_info, which does not check the validity of
the data when retrieving the current mrc_cache slot. This allows the
caller some flexibility in deciding where they want the mrc_cache data
stored (either in an mmaped region or at a given address).

The Linux kenerl driver for AMD gpu currently has a floor
value of 12 for brightness settings (AMDGPU_DM_DEFAULT_MIN_BACKLIGHT).
AMD indicates they did this because they were concerned with certain
panels flickering at lower backlight values. However, for unaffected
panels it's desirable to be able to have the panel "turn off" at
the lowest backlight setting. The only way to do that is to provide
ATIF bindings that indicate backlight range.
Option SOC_AMD_COMMON_BLOCK_GRAPHICS_ATIF is added to provide a full
range for the backlight setting. If needed, this path can be built upon
for fuller support, but for the time being this is the only thing
necessary to make the backlight be full range.

Because there was a lot of discussion about the size increase,
I also looked at the impact of calling the get_spi_bar() function
vs reading spi_base directly and just not worring about whether
or not spi_base was already set.
Using the spi_base variable directly is 77 bytes bytes for all 6
functions. it's roughly double the size to call the function at
153 bytes. This was almost entirely due to setting up a call stack.
If we add an assert into each function to make sure that the spi_base
variable is set, it doubles from the size of the function call to
333 bytes.
For my money, the function call is the best bet, because it not only
protects us from using spi_base before it's set, it also gets the
value for us (at least on x86, on the PSP, it still just dies.)

configured for SCI/SMI/WAKE need to have multiple entries in the
configuration table - one for PAD_GPI and other for the special
configuration that is required. This requires a very specific ordering
of pads within the table and is prone to errors because of conflicting
params provided to the different entries for the same pad. This also
does not work very well with the concept of override GPIOs where the
entry in base table is overridden with the first matched entry from
the override table.
This change updates the way GPIO configuration is handled for special
routing like SCI/SMI/WAKE/DEBOUNCE by setting the control field of
soc_amd_gpio structure in the macros performing these
configurations. Also, program_gpios() is updated to perform a write to
GPIO control register instead of read-modify-write. This is because
mainboard is expected to provide only a single configuration entry for
each pad within a given table. Thus, there is no need to preserve
earlier configuration.
Mainboards that were providing multiple entries for a single pad are
updated accordingly.

This reverts commit 4883252912.
Almost everything in <amdblocks/acpimmio_map.h> is invalid for PSP as
it does not have the same view of memory space.
The prototypes xx_set/get_bar() are only valid for PSP as x86 cores
will use the constant mapping defined in <amdblocks/acpimmio_map.h>
The selected MMIO base address model depends of the architecture the
stage is built for and, to current knowledge, nothing else. So
the guards should have been with ENV_X86 vs ENV_ARM and not about
CONFIG(VERSTAGE_BEFORE_BOOTBLOCK).
For the ENV_ARM stage builds, <arch/io.h> file referenced in the
previously added mmio_util_psp.c file has not been added to the tree.
So there was some out-of-order submitting, which did not get caught
as the build-testing of mixed-arch stages has not been incorporated
into the tree yet.
The previously added file mmio_util_psp.c is also 90% redundant with
mmio_util.c.

This change moves all ACPI table support in coreboot currently living
under arch/x86 into common code to make it architecture

architecture and hence it makes sense to move this to its own

In order to make it easier to review, this change is being split into

This change adds support in common block HDA driver to add a PCI
device for HDA in SSDT and removes the HDA device from DSDT for
Stoneyridge and Picasso.
_INI method is still retained in stoneyridge since I am unsure why it
was added. In order to support the _INI method, HDA driver makes a
callback hda_soc_ssdt_quirks() to allow SoCs to add any quirks
required for the HDA device. This callback is implemented by
Stoneyridge to provide the _INI method which retains the same
functionality for HDA device.
This makes it easier to ensure that we don't accidentally
make the DSDT and SSDT entries inconsistent w.r.t. ACPI name and
scope.

According to the POSIX standard, %p is supposed to print a pointer "as
if by %#x", meaning the "0x" prefix should automatically be prepended.
All other implementations out there (glibc, Linux, even libpayload) do
this, so we should make coreboot match. This patch changes vtxprintf()
accordingly and removes any explicit instances of "0x%p" from existing
format strings.
How to handle zero padding is less clear: the official POSIX definition
above technically says there should be no automatic zero padding, but in
practice most other implementations seem to do it and I assume most
programmers would prefer it. The way chosen here is to always zero-pad
to 32 bits, even on a 64-bit system. The rationale for this is that even
on 64-bit systems, coreboot always avoids using any memory above 4GB for
itself, so in practice all pointers should fit in that range and padding
everything to 64 bits would just hurt readability. Padding it this way
also helps pointers that do exceed 4GB (e.g. prints from MMU config on
some arm64 systems) stand out better from the others.

Move the stoneyridge AcpiMmio code into soc/amd/common.
The SB800 southbridge introduced the MMIO hardware blocks at 0xfed80000
commonly known as AcpiMmio. Implementations beginning with Mullins
enable decode in PMx04. Older designs use PMx24 and allow for
configuring the base address. Future work may support the older version.
Comparing the documentation for AMD's RRGs and BKDGs, it is evident that
the block locations have not been reassigned across products. In some
cases, address locations are deprecated and new ones consumed, e.g. the
early GPIO blocks were simpler at offset 0x100 and the newer GPIO banks
are now at 0x1500, 0x1600, and 0x1700.
Note: Do not infer the definitions within the hardware blocks are
consistent across family/model products.

Furthermore, none of the function definitions under vendorcode

picks up from AGESA.h are for the internal implementations and
with sanely organized headerfiles would not be exposed outside

Implement a new AGESA callout that may be used to find the correct
temporary location in DRAM to store heap data.
Near the end of AmdInitPost, AGESA migrates its heap from a CAR-based
location to a temporary region. Once cbmem has been established, the
heap will be relocated again in AmdInitEnv from the temp location to
the final one.
This patch does not materially affect the behavior of AGESA's heap
management. It only puts coreboot in control of the location. Future
work may refactor the copying.

dimm_info.serial had a strange contract. The SPD spec defines a 4 byte
serial number. dimm_info.serial required a 4 character ascii string with
a null terminator.
This change makes the serial field so it matches the SPD spec.
smbios.c will then translate the byte array into hex and set it on the
smbios table.
There were only two callers that set the serial number:
* haswell/raminit.c: already does a memcpy(serial, spd->serial, 4), so
it already matches the new contract.
* amd_late_init.c: Previously copied the last 4 characters. Requires
decoding the serial number into a byte array.
google/cyan/spd/spd.c: This could be updated to pass the serial number,
but it uses a hard coded spd.bin.
Testing this on grunt, dmidecode now shows the full serial number:

An upcoming PSP firmware change will allow coreboot to load the two
SMU firmware blobs (one runs in SRAM and the other in DRAM). The
traditional method is for the PSP to control most of the process,
e.g. loading the SRAM version prior to releasing the x86 reset.
Add a new command that can instruct the PSP to load a firmware blob
from a location in the flash.
The definition for commands 19 and 1a differ from others in that they
do not use a command/response buffer. Instead, the PSP will look in
the command/response pointer registers directly for the blob's
address.

put in to avoid a hang when vboot presearched memory for the blob.
The implementation now supports early cbmem init and cbmem_top() is
careful to return 0 if DRAM has not yet been set up. As a result the
hang no longer occurs and the hack may be removed safely.

Change the cache-as-ram teardown to use invd instead of wbinvd.
Save the return and recover the call's return address in
chipset_teardown_car.
CAR teardown had been modified to use wbinvd to send CAR contents
to DRAM backing prior to teardown. This allowed CAR variables,
stack, and local variables to be preserved while running the
AMD_DISABLE_STACK macro.
Using the wbinvd instruction has the side effect of sending all
dirty cache contents to DRAM and not only our CAR data. This
would likely cause corruption, e.g. during S3 resume.
Stoney Ridge now uses a postcar stage and this is no longer a
requirement.

Insert a postcar stage for Stoney Ridge and move romstage's CAR
teardown there.
The AMD cache-as-ram teardown procedure currently uses a wbinvd
instruction to send CAR contents to DRAM backing. This allows
preserving stack contents and CAR globals after the teardown
happens, but likely results in memory corruption during S3 resume.
Due to the current base of the DCACHE region, reverting to an
invd instruction will break the detection mechanism for CAR
migrated variables. Using postcar avoids this problem.
The current behavior of AGESA is to set up all cores' MTRRs during
the AmdInitPost() entry point. This implementation takes control
back and causes postcar's _start to clear all settings and set
attributes only for the BIOS flash device, TSEG, and enough space
below cbmem_top to load and run ramstage.

Add dedicated CAR setup and teardown functions and Kconfig
options to force their inclusion into the build. The .S files
are mostly duplicated code from the old cache_as_ram.inc file.
The .S files use global proc names in anticipation for use with
the Kconfig symbols C_ENVIRONMENT_BOOTBLOCK and POSTCAR_STAGE.
Move the mainboard romstage functionality into the soc directory
and change the function name to be compatible with the call
from assembly_entry.S. Drop the BIST check like other devices.
Move InitReset and InitEarly to bootblock. These AGESA entry
points set some default settings, and release/recapture the
AP cores. There are currently some early dependencies on
InitReset. Future work should include:
* Pull the necessary functionality from InitReset into bootblock
* Move InitReset and InitEarly to car_stage_entry() and out of
bootblock
- Add a mechanism for the BSP to give the APs an address
to call and skip most of bootblock and verstage (when
available) (1)
- Reunify BiosCallOuts.c and OemCustomize.c
(1) During the InitReset call, the BSP enables the APs by setting
core enable bits in F18F0x1DC and APs begin fetching/executing
from the reset vector. The BSP waits for all APs to also
reach InitReset, where they enter an endless loop. The BSP
sends a command to them to execute a HLT instruction and the
BSP eventually returns from InitReset. The goal would be to
preserve this process but prevent APs from rerunning early
code.
